My experience with Hutchens not only lead to my wife and I pruchasing one vehicle for my wife, we returned a week later to purchase one for myself as well. From the moment we first walked on the lot we knew Hutchens was right for us. Mark, from sales, is an amazing car salesman. He greeted us shortly after we arrived but when we told him we were just looking he did something I had never seen a car salesman do. He left us alone! He retreated to the show room where he remotely unlocked cars we were looking at. When we had questions he quickly came out to answer them and then left us to it. When we decided to make the purchase a few days later Brian Hutchens treated us as if we were members of his own family. They didn't push at any time, not for extra bells and whistles or anything. To Brian, Mark and Billy- Thank you for making us feel so comfortable by getting to know us as people not just customers. I've never felt so at ease while making such a purchase. To anyone in the Newport News area looking to buy a car- Go to Hutchens and see what I mean, you will not regret it.

I turned my car into john in service, explained to him what the vehicle was doing and was told there is a $79.00 diagnosis fee and that fee would go towards the repair if I chose to complete it there. The next day I hear back from John, he said the vehicle was ready for pick up and he had told his technician just to fix the problem because he was already there. Come to find out I had a $350+ service bill waiting for me, I had only authorized the $79 for diagnosis and explained that to the service manager Larry. He lowered the price to $250.00, I was OK with paying that because they had told us they found the problem and it was fixed. We got in the car and drove down the road and the same exact issue happend again, we returned to hutchens and left the car with them. I received a call the next morning from john again stating that they would need $1000.00 now to diagnose the car again, they said the first time we brought the car to them it had 1 DTC (diagnostic trouble code) when we returned the car now had 18 DTC's. I am now back to square one with my vehicle after paying $250.00 for unauthorized work that didn't fix my vehicles issue.

Mr. John Sherman is a God send. He and his team have serviced my vehicle on and off for at least 8+ years and he has been the same, soft spoken, professional and respectful Service Manager from day one. He takes time to call you and explain in unambiguous language the problem and offers suggestions to correct the problems. This past week I had my Avalanche towed to Hutchens and alerted John that I had a problem that required their expertise. He and his team took great care to diagnose and complete repairs to my 2004 Avalanche in an expeditious and courteous manner and without hassle. Please pass on how grateful and appreciative I am for the friendly and professional demeanor displayed by Mr. Sherman and the entire Green Team! Thank you and God bless!
