    Had catalytic converter and all related components installed in Feb 2018 after a theft. Parts did not last even 2 years. Dealership says it is the insurance... companies fault, not theirs that the parts were substandard. Manager claims that insurance company told dealership to put substandard parts on car and that they knew parts would not last. No warranty communicated at time of original service except that the parts would be of equal quality and warranty as originals. So today, dealership changed the warranty to make our car miss the warranty. An $1800 job 2 years ago, paid by insurance, was going to cost $3500 today. Called other dealers and were confused why a catalytic converter and all components did not last more than 22 months. Deceptive and fraudulent business practices at this dealer.

    Update: got the written estimate from dealer to fix car. One part was $3,100 but total cost would possibly be $5,600. Called manufacturer of the part...s and was told that they are under a 5 year 50,000 mile warranty and they are being shipped to my home. Contrary to the warranty the dealer said we had which was not provided at time of service. Matt Mann banned me from having my car serviced at this dealership. Said "we will never fix your cars here."

    Customer service department is a joke. Even if you know what is wrong they will charge you a $171 diagnostic fee. I had to get air conditioner fixed and... it took 3 trips and cost around $2000. So I paid about 10% of my CRV purchase price just for air conditioning fixed which makes no sense at all. If you are a woman forget it, they will take advantage of you and scare you into unnecessary repairs. My thoughts are they overcharge and suggest pricely repairs so you will decide to trade your car in instead of getting the repairs. What racket.

    From start to finish the entire 4 hour process of buying a car with them was designed to trick me into paying for various services that I both didn't want... and didn't need. I'm just going to list a few and give you my take on why they did it this way. Everything took a very long time. This was designed to wear me down, after an hour or so they can expect most people to just start saying yes to try to move the process along. My sales person would disappear for at least 15 minutes every single time anything regarding paperwork needed to be filed. She would leave for especially long periods of time every time I said no to something she tacked on before asking me. The initial sale agreement had an additional "treatment" tacked on for something along the lines of "preserving the interior" of my car for something like the next 5 years. This car was manufactured two years ago, wouldn't the manufacturer have just applied if it really did what you claim? They offered me one dollar on my trade in. Granted it was a rusty 2004 Ford Taurus, but still that's just insulting. I had to wait like an hour to see the "finance guy" because for some reason he's the only guy actually able to sell me the car... Not sure why I spent two hours shuffling papers around with the sales associate then. Just kidding. It was so I could be pressured into paying for Crown Honda brand extended service warranties, and service packages that are all clearly ripoffs that they're hoping you won't notice because you've already been there for 2 hours and just want to get in your new car. Seriously, I picked this car because it's extremely reliable. Why would I want to pay you more than the cost of a repair that I probably won't need for the duration of the warranty? Oh yeah, because it's free money for you. Aside from trying on multiple occasions to sell me snake oil, he didn't even file my car loan information properly (One of like three things I actually need him to do). The company I went through for my car loan had very simple instructions on how to submit the paperwork to them, yet they still had to call Crown Honda several times to even submit it. Finally I got my car keys. They'd managed to tack an extra couple hundred bucks over the listing price, but at that point I didn't care. I wanted my car and I could see the end of this customer experience nightmare. I left and returned to pick up the Taurus. It was finally over. But it wasn't! Every couple of weeks or so I get official looking mail saying my warranty is about to expire, this is my last warning, etc. They either look like they're from the US government or from Honda, they aren't and they don't explicitly say it, but they're clearly aping the styles of the two entities. How'd these grifters get my mailing address? Hmm... It's anyone's guess. Here's the funniest part. I wanted to like this place. I was excited to buy the car. I'd done a bunch of research and this checked everything for year, model, color, and price point. I was also excited that I could go to the same place for service that I purchased the car at. That should be a convenient way to ensure high quality continuity of service. If they had done nothing but sell me the car, I would have been a happy customer that would return for service over and over again. They won't get any more of my business. I hope you can find a better dealer.

    I have pretty good evidence that the service department was blatantly dishonest with me about what was going on with my car. I don't see any point in going... into detail but just save yourself the time and frustration and go somewhere else. Even if it is a bit of a drive, you will save yourself (literal) hours of time, frustration, and money by going somewhere with competent staff who actually want to help and value Honda customers. Who knows, they might even pick up their phone! Mind you, I have a lease under warranty so I would have expected reasonably prompt service. Nope, not even close.

    I went in on a Saturday and there was an EXTREMELY LONG LINE to get into the service department. I waited for about 6 minutes before going to Autopark... Honda where there was nearly no line. I am going to get my car serviced at Autopark Honda from now and try and avoid Crown Honda of Southpoint if I can. They also quote excess prices on repairs and parts which usually are not needed. I will still do business with Crown but not nearly as much as I used to and recommend Autopark Honda of Cary and Mister Tire on Davis Drive.

    Scheduled appointment and when I got there for the appointment I was told it would be 3 hours to get to me even though I had a scheduled appointment. I... called the service manager and got his voicemail. Asked for a return call and never received one.

    So this was a first - a dealership that all but told me it did not want my business. When I arrived, there were a few customers working with salespeople... and a lot of salespeople milling around trying to look busy. No one approached me. I went to the desk, where a bored looking receptionist eventually looked up. I told her I was interested in looking at a specific model. She said she didn't know if they had it, got on the intercom, and asked salesperson Joe Blow to come to the desk. No one appeared. She got on the intercom again and said something I couldn't and obviously wasn't intended to hear because she turned away from me and practically whispered. She then told me no one was available and they were closing in an hour. Someone might become available or not, she couldn't really say. I could wait if I wanted to, it was up to me. I said ok, went back out, and saw that the car I was interested in was directly outside the door. They have an Intriguing concept of customer service. Needless to say, I will not be buying the car here.

    Update: I followed up on the manager¿¿¿s request to contact him, and had a far better experience. He asked me to describe what had happened, said he w...ould follow up with the receptionist, and asked what they could do to make it right. I told him the exact make and model of car I wanted, plus a few extras, at an out-the-door price of $xxx. He agreed to that, said that they did not have that car on their lot, but would let me know when they got it. Two days later, they had the car and I went to pick it up and complete the paperwork. Thomas, my sales associate, as well as Jenny, the business manager, were very helpful and straightforward. I especially appreciated that was no pressure or upselling of services or other items at any time (unlike another local dealer, where after you¿¿¿ve agreed on a price, they make you sit through a video ad for Simoniz and then try to get you to add it right then for an additional $800). I did not trade in my old car as part of this deal but sold it to Crown later. Of course I got considerably less than I could have had I sold it myself, but under the circumstances, I considered it reasonable and the process was straightforward and quick. Everyone I interacted with was professional and helpful and I appreciated Scott¿¿¿s reaching out. Very happy with my new car so far.

    If you can get an honest service rep and are clear on what you need done - it can be OK. The mounts for my engine gave way last year and they had the best... price by far to repair (and it's expensive so the savings was very welcome). They also did a good job replacing 2 wire harnesses that squirrels chewed out. They're probably fine for routine maintenance. That said, I've been continually frustrated over the years with VERY dishonest reps. My elderly mom had borrowed my car and really got fleeced with unneeded repairs on several occasions. I've had them quote excessive labor to change out a part I did myself in 20 minutes. And now? I just got a timing belt code on my car and the rep told me the manual was completely wrong and/or that Honda changes the maintenance recommendation by mileage "all the time." She then added they would do whatever maintenance I insisted on but really I should feel free to go somewhere else. Indeed. I suppose I will. >> Current owner of 2 older Hondas, life-long Honda loyalist, and will never purchase another one due to the bad dealer service.
