The new-for-2024 Toyota Grand Highlander is a stretched version of the original three-row Highlander, while the refreshed-for-2024 Volkswagen Atlas brings a number of noteworthy improvements to VW’s biggest SUV.
The Grand Highlander has a family resemblance to the regular Highlander, but the new SUV’s design is less about bulging styling elements and more about sharper angles and straighter lines.
For 2024, the Highlander morphs into the Grand Highlander and Toyota promises more passenger room and cargo space than the outgoing model, as well as additional powertrain options.
Toyota didn’t reveal too much about the three-row Grand Highlander, which will debut at the 2023 Chicago Auto Show, besides it being “equipped for family adventures.”
