Generally people start out by saying they are expensive to maintain, just don't go to the dealership. In every City there is someone who specializes in BMW older models. 2500 miles is oil change time, not 5000 miles like dealership will tell you. I strongly believe the reason they tell you that is something will go wrong and you will be right back in there to fix a $3000 repair that normally would cost you $75 elsewhere, As this happened to me. At 100,000 miles, whether it needs it or not, REPLACE "VISA VALVE". This part sits on the side of the motor right at the oil stick. There's a light rattle sometimes when I start the car, then goes away. When it got bad enough, check engine light came on, it stopped in its tracks. It took my son one minute to take off 3 screws and replace. The part was $59.00 on Amazon! Dealership wanted $500 for the part and $300 to put it on. Car is good as new.

It’s a lot of fun to drive drifts good dose not shake at all going into high speeds just a great car all around like even going 160 with no problems

This car is really beautiful and very fast. I love it. Has some issues after 150K, but engine is still running very strong and smooth :)

Paid $500 running like total dog xxxx, run to orielys bought some plugs and one #5 $68 coilpack and can xxxx near drift it , built to take a beating from me is quite unreal I'll say this where I used to kill Ford's and Chevy's daily, one of the perks to working at a junkyard and he was doing it also , will say this I hate Chrysler "diplomat " is bomb proof, so is this thing , you can't not have one!

As long as the maintenance was maintained and crucial parts were properly replaced to continue smooth mobility, this vehicle was a smooth transportation source for me during the almost seven years it has been in my ownership so far.

I daily drive a 2002 BMW 325i and it is currently 2020. I found a low mileage example with 63k miles and have already logged 7k miles in just under 3 months. Very comfortable car and is very easy to work on especially with the help of many online diy videos. Lacks interior storage would be my biggest complaint. Other than that it is an amazing vehicle.

I bought it a few months ago for 3 grand, had to put another grand into it, but even though it's 17 years old it looks almost new. 133,700 miles on it, runs like new. I just love it.

We have owned this car for 13 years and are happy we made the decision to own it and have it serviced by Concord Motorsports. We made extensive repairs two years ago to make sure this vehicle would continue to operate at high level.

Worth every penny. Had minor issues but not too pricey to fix. Fixed the check engine light with only $75 Highly recommend, safe car for your children.

Plenty of leg room, leather seats, quite ride and an engine that runs forever is enough for this car to stand out, but the added perks of great pickup and tight steering make this E46 a blast to drive. Would still be driving it if we didn't need more room for the new addition to our family.
