We've not owned our 328 long, so I am not sure about the reliability yet. Time will tell on that one. However, our car delivers the driving experience I've always wanted in a car, I feel like I have the road in my hands! My favorite features are: horsepower, precise handling, heated steering wheel, and the bluetooth audio. I couldn't be happier with the overall buying experience and car ownership experience.

Purchased a new 2011 BMW 328i in September with value and premium packages. Severely discounted as a result of the new 2012 design. This is an excellent car, with a terrific ride (just make sure you don't get the sport package). The size is just right for a sports sedan, and the naturally aspirated inline 6 is a terrific engine. Steering feel is great, communicates nicely. BMW got it right in the last year of this models production.

Got the 2011 recently, the naturally aspirated engine. BMW is new to putting turbos into their cars and the recalls say pretty much they are not doing to well in marrying the engine to the turbo. I went with the engine they are good at building. Got Xenons, must have package, prem, value, sirius, and classic black in and out. This car is a brilliant drive. Anyone who doesn't know from driving german cars that BMW uses the pinion steering system making it feel tight. This is normal its a car built for driving. You want a jello turning wheel please buy a lexus. I love this car and have had an audi and mercedes. They dont compare. Cars are meant to be driven not played in. If you are a driver you will love this car. If you are a gizmo lover buy an infiniti or something that skids when you pass 80 miles. 50/50 balance is felt and the power is there when you need it.

Had this car for a few months now, have over 4 thousand miles, I think the sports package with 18in wheels are nice but the low profile tires make it hard to drive around new york. Theres a weird noise coming from the passenger side door whenever I go over bumps. The standard audio system is a huge disappointment. All wheel drive system handles like no other, this car is a beauty!

I bought this car because I totaled my 2009 BMW 328i and I walked away with only a broken finger! I really enjoy the car. I had a 2000 C class for almost 9 years prior to this but it was not as much fun to drive. My only complaint is the sound system is sub-par. The 2009 model had a much better sound system.

I started BMW ownership in 2000, purchasing a 54k mile 1997 M3 sedan with a manual transmission. I LOVED that car. It did EVERYTHING extremely well, track, autocross, daily drive, trips. WOW! What a car. I sold in in 2005 after buying a manual trans "new" Mustang. Fast forward through family life and death when my son insists I buy a 2006 330i sport manual trans. WOW! It was deja vu, same hp as the M3, same crisp handling, slightly larger car, same crazy great mileage ... all on a 136k mile car (well maintained). I have recently purchased a 2011 328i sport wagon, rwd but with a slush box. I REALLY miss the clutch pedal!!!! The wagon had the standard interior and the seats SUCK when compared to the sport seats my 330i had so I bought a matching driver's side sport seat, fixing that "flaw". I still MISS the clutch pedal, am investigating doing a manual trans swap to make this car even that much more fun to drive - as you can tell, I am NOT a fan of automatic transmission cars, despite the ability to "shift" it ... it is NOT the same. I bought this 2011 in late November 2015 with 38k miles and had one ignition coil go bad at about 41k miles, that was a $150 fix with the shop labor all happy now

I have had NO issues with this car. I have 17,000 miles on the car. And so everything is great. My only complaint is that it is under powered for a $45k car. This car should have at least 300hp minimum. Its embarrassing when a $25k car can accelerate faster. My next car will be a BMW 550i xdrive bigger with more HP. :)

3 Series Coupe Has Lost Its Edge

by from NYC on April 12, 2012

Not the handling or transmission this car deserves. Down shifts are abrupt and cars needs to be driver very hard to be appreciate. Run flats are an insult. My Mini and A4 feel more stable at 80 MPH.

Love the car, traded in 2006 325 XI for a 2011 328i, only concern is how well will the 328i handle in the snow. Car is used for all purposes, including transporting grand kids to and from school at times. Car handles well and sound system is top notch. On the weekends I'm a cool, hip grand dad. Will always drive a BMW.
