My Avalanche saved my life

I was in an accident while driving my 2003 Chevy Avalanche. I fell asleep at the wheel and crashed into the rear of an 18-wheeler and had it not been for the steel-reinforced bars in my doors of my 2003 Chevy Avalanche I would have certainly been crushed. Overall performance is amazing. I drove this vehicle all the way to northern Oregon and back to Louisiana with ease. It gets great gas mileage and is comfortable for multiple passengers like no other vehicle. I can't imagine ever wanting a different vehicle. The Avalanche is perfect for single or multiple passengers and great for daily use and or travel. Bed covers for easy to put on and take off and I never once experienced any mechanical troubles with this vehicle. My next vehicle will absolutely be another black 2003 Chevy Avalanche. Best vehicle ever made.

About to hit 300,000 miles

I drive this truck nearly every day; anything from commuting to work, to hauling a heavy load, to being in the Florida clay. It has never let me down. Only replaced water pump Just like I bought her otherwise. 5.3 is likely the best engine Chevy stuck in a truck for durability.

Pretty reliable car

Had 2 avalanches and love them. They are a little pricey as they hold their value. But overall a good vehicle they are hard to find.

2003 Chevrolet Avalanche 2500

I truly enjoyed this truck, handled well in snow and towing long distances. Gas mileage isn't that great but it's to be expected with this type of truck.

Wish chevy would bring the body style back

The Chevy avalanche is an excellent combination of truck and SUV. You have the comfort and room of an SUV with the bed space and towing of a truck. Chevy should have never discontinued it, or just have GMC pick up the body sbody.

Best truck chevy ever produced

I have a Z66 and bought it in Colorado I've had it for 3 years and really love it. very dependable and reliable. low maintenance and love its style. I have waited until I could afford one and it was worth the wait. mine is a 2003 Z66 forest green without the plastic and I just found out that they are still in high demand. I have 150,000 miles on it and she runs like a top. I've had plenty of offers to trade it in but I've turned them all down and I wont sell her either. Great job Chevy.

I loved this truck

I loved it I knew how it would drive my brother leased that year of the truck. It did not feel like truck when you drove it the drive was that of a car. I purchased it from Jay Chevrolet ( at least the salesman and finance people did not lie to me and they gave me the whole value of my trade in of a 2005 G6) I trade it because I wanted newer features and third row seating I miss it so bad and my remote start ? the dealership I purchased my GMC Acadia lied about the vehicle having a remote start.
