nice car-if it starts

battery problems have cause a dead battery 5 times in 2 years--computers will not go to sleep properly.. GM know of problems -- but no fix in planned. very poorly designed electrical system. its a shame because otherwise its a nice car. quality is just not there.

2 thumbs up

Z51 with all available options. As most reviewers opine, extremely enjoyable to drive. Car is crazy fast and would quickly get you into trouble without all of the traction control features. I particularly enjoy the inside spaciousness for a sports car. The car does sit low so you'll wind up with plenty of scrapes and dings on the front of the car. The ride is not too harsh. Heads up display is a nice feature that I actually always use. The 1-4 skip-shift on the six speed can be annoying but you can easily avoid it by shifting later. My only complaints are that I do get a small creaking sound from the removable roof panel when it gets hot out and surprisingly the Bose system with Navigation doesn't sound very good. Otherwise, it has been a fun car to have.

007 Vette

Very competent road car. Plenty of power, excellent handling with Z51 performance suspension. Comfort is fair but performance tires are stiff & noisy as they are run flats. Heads up display is great but the interior is uninspired & slightly disfunctional. Car does not store well as battery goes dead about every two weeks which kills the push button door latches and provides constant aggravation. Overall have a hard time warming up to this car but may be as much my fault as the car. Perhaps I am getting too sensitive to the small annoyances.

Perfect... Less 1 little annoying thing

GM has a 1st to 4th lock shift on the vette. This engages when your gas pedal is depresses less than some percentage of its range and within some RPM range. Basically it forces the manual shift from 1st to 4th when these conditions are met. Locking out 2nd. Aside from that annoying little feature, which apparently can be defeated with a $10-$20 part, this car is perfect for what it is....A true sports car.

THE CORVETTE RULES!!!!!!!!

This car is full of power. It gets a top of around 200mph, WOW! It gets 505hp (For the Z06). If I didn't have this car I wouldn't know what I would do. If you don't have one you don't know what you are missing!

Great Sports Car and Daily Driver

I've finally gotten up the nerve to get one and am delighted by the balance of power, handling, and comfort. Magnetic ride suspension option is fantastic!

The Z06is a serious sports car

Design and style define the 2007 Z06 Corvette that we have had about a month. Chevy took a full blown international race car and tamed it just enough for regular people. It's scary fast. The more I drive it and look at it the more I appreciate the great ideas and craftmanship(from GM? I know, go figure) Its very comfortable once you are in it but for pudgy 50 something guys like myself in and out is a little akward. The 7 litre(427 small block) is very fast and seems strong so far. It has traction and ride control which makes the car fairly easy to control when driving in most situations. Without traction control it is a lot of car to handle. The brakes are fantastic. OK here is the weird part: I have actually had guys who own BMW, Porshe, Jaguar, C6 corvettes and even a Lamborghini come up and voice their reget that they own whatever they own instead of theZ06. And now all sorts of beautiful women want to go out with me! OK, I made that part up but the rest is true. Its a great sports car that will run with any sport or exotic car inthe world that costs under about $300,000. I got mine for about $77,000 but I think it has every option available. If you want fun and the admiration of the masses BUY THIS CAR.
