Great car for bigger people with small budgets
This car was exactly what I was looking for when I started car searching and it was almost fully loaded (minus the touch screen). It’s definitely the most comfortable car I’ve ever owned and it’s gre on gas mileage, the sound system is amazing, and it’s very easy to drive. The only bad thing about this car is the rear visibility sucks but the backup camera makes up for it.

Worst engine I ever had
Initially I bought the car with very low mileage.29,000 thought I had a great deal. Then in 8 months the air conditioning went out and completely replace everything $1,500 by my mechanic. The drive axles went bad replace them not too bad couple hundred dollars. Using oil is a big problem always low when I checked it adding oil continuously. Then the engine shut down on me I was able to get it to my mechanic and he diagnosed that I needed a new engine. Ordered a new engine and he installed it $3,800. Now the exhaust manifold is cracked and I have to replace that another 300. I would not recommend a 2010 Equinox to anybody unless it got all fixed up already a motor new are you see new manifold new axles yeah then be a good time to buy it if you got a deal.

Great used car
This car is loaded. Beautiful car. Doesn’t look used at all. Smooth ride. Very comfortable with lots of room. I had a Cruze previously but was too small and cramped. Love the Equinox.

I loved this car but the transmission went out.
I was disappointed with the oil consumption. I had to add oil before it was due for an oil change. I was advised by my mechanic that several different makes of Chevrolets had the same issues with oil consumption. I also read reviews about bad transmissions in several Equinoxes.

Satisfied
The vehicle has a nice design. Drives good love the interior. I feel there is blind spots you have to be really be careful with. No vent in back seats to keep warm in back seat. Everything else is excellent so far.

WORST vehicle I've ever owned!!!
I'm DONE with Chevy!!! I purchased my 2010 Equinox in 2013 with 22,103 miles & paid $23k. It's top of the line fully loaded with every option. To date (12/4/18) I've put 52,466 miles on the truck for a total of 74,569 miles. My 1st out of pocket repair cost me over $600 for the Excessive Oil Consumption... An issue GM is aware of but refuses to cover (I was 34 miles over my RIDICULOUSLY EXPENSIVE "Extended Warranty!") Then my transmission started shifting hard & the dealership told me it was the cam shaft sensor (They wanted $260 for that repair) I had it fixed @ a local auto shop for $100 ($40 for the part $60 in labor) but that didn't solve the hard shifting so I started researching Chevy consumer reports to find all the transmission issues (GM is also aware of & refuses to do anything about!!!) I had to have a new transmission in June 2018 & it cost me $4,500! I had the work done @ a local transmission shop... I REFUSE to take it back to the Chevy dealership... I DON'T trust or believe them @ all now! And the transmission shop informed me of Chevy's "KNOWN design flaw" on the 2010 Equinox transmission & the fact that if newly designed parts are not used for repairs, you'll have the same issue & need another transmission after 40k miles! He said his SMALL shop repairs approximately 20 transmissions a week & @ least 5 are Chevy Equinox's!!!) In August 2018 I had to replace the entire exhaust system & muffler (it was completely rusted, even though it's a garaged vehicle!) That cost me almost a thousand dollars & last Friday I took it in for a new AC Compressor that cost me $1,600!!! NEVER in my life have I felt so un-easy about getting into my vehicle to drive 5 miles to work!!! Smh, bc I'm not rich but I've always owned really decent dependable vehicles until I purchased this "Top of the Line" Piece of you know what!!! I'm currently looking for a new vehicle bc I'd rather have piece of mind & another car payment with a know monthly amount VS the "SURPRISE" amount I keep having to spend in costly repairs for this Equinox with less than 75k miles!!! And I didn't even mention the rust on the "INSIDE" of my driver door & the passenger window motor that I've replaced twice!!! Everytime I see these Chevy commercials saying they've won all these safety awards & best in class awards... I literally feel sick to my stomach! I want to throw up & then throw something through my TV!!! Who's voting Chevy best in anything expect ripping customers off!?!?!?

Sad disappointment in this vehicle
We loved our Equinox until it quit last year and had to replace the transmission. Apparently this year is known for that problem according to another buyer who had to replace hers. After fifty years,we will never buy a GM car.

Impressed
Great room for me a portly fella. Nice amenities and being able to pause and rewind radio and XM is awesome. Great ride and comfort. Only drawback is power and gas mileage.
