As a second owner of an 2002 impala, this car has done very well for me. I'm a commuter and I've noticed an average of 25 to 26 mpg on the hwy. I initially got the car when I worked only 20 minutes from work. Now I driver 1 hr and 15 minutes to get to work. Aside from the normal oil changes and regular maintenance, performed by yours truly, I can honestly tell anyone the impala is a good car. With over 176k miles under its belt, some of the more extensive maintenance is surely just around the corner.

Impala 2002

by from Moore, SC on March 20, 2010

Very reliable, good gas mileage, just do regular maintenance and oil changes. Hanldes really well, stable and smooth drive. I would say it is better than most cars of its class.

The Impala drives comfortably and handles really well. I drive mine daily and it has been reliable for at least the last 5 years, the parts are relatively cheap and i keep a close eye on the work that is done on it. My Impala is just the best, even with a couple massive dents in it, it handles really well.

I really am pleased with my Impala LS. Its sporty yet sophisticated . It has a great engine, (3.8L) the power of a small V8, and the gas milage of a 4cyl. I get 25-27mpg around town, and 28-32 on the hwy, and It's no slouch when you hit the gas. its roomy and comfortable and has a gigantic trunk. I recently test drove a new '07 and It did handle better, I just didnt like it as much. I think I'll keep it around for a while, its been a great car.
