Don't buy a silverado
Truck has already needed major engine work. Shakes while driving. Customer service is atrocious. I will never buy another GM car ever again. Don't buy!
Shame on chevy for removing Sirius XM
I’m aggravated. All trucks before had Sirius XM. Brown and Daub made no mention that the new 2019 Silverado did not have it. Found out after purchase. $40,000 plus. Sirius XM will give you a cheap adapter if you want wires and mess on new truck. Shame on Brown Daub and GMC. Buyer beware. Had no reason to ask radio question. All of you should be up front on your save money maneuvers.
This truck falls under the lemon law
This truck is a lemon need to be paid back from the vehicle input in a different one still having more issues It has been in the shop more than 12 times with a year and a 1/2 and still having more problems Also electrical problems also.
I'm dismayed at the poor design of this vehicle.
This pickup has insufficient power to pull a camper trailer. It lacks many things I had come to expect in a full size pickup. The cup holders and storage areas are deficient. The engine compartment will be almost impossible to add fluids etc. Many features such as dual exhaust are fake.
Don't Waste Your Time
Purchased a new 2019 Silverado Custom Crew Cab in Fall of 2019. Truck felt cheaper than my 2015 Colorado, but I wanted to get something a little bigger, and the Colorado was pushing 150K miles and started having issues with the transmission. This was the 4th Chevy I owned...my older trucks always were fine and would have wear and tear issues (150-200K miles, 15-20 years old), I traded in my 2019 at 33K miles, truck had way too many issues...really felt like Chevy 'phoned in' the design and just focused on making money rather than building a decent truck. Issues I had: 1. Tailgate is awful - the electric release wouldn't disengage the driver's side latch on the tailgate, making the bed of the truck useless. Several trips to the dealer to have them 'fix', but it always continued to happen (especially in the cold) 2. Infotainment froze up at least once a day. Some days it would restart on its own, other times it just went blank. Dealer couldn't fix, seems like a widespread issue. Cold weather meant no radio or backup camera. 3. Backup camera would blank out sometimes and not work. 4. Driver's seat and steering column had little to no adjustment, hard to see over the hood 5. Center console wasn't 'standard' for 2019 - it was just an arm rest with no storage (previous model years had storage). 6. AWD system - not a true 4wd with 2 speed transfer case - had to have the system 'reprogrammed' after I turned 4HI on and it caused an error. 7. Rear suspension squeaked whenever you went over a bump - dealer had a fix for this issue. 8. Front axle squealed - no idea what caused this, not related to a common 4wd issue, never had fixed, traded the truck in. 9. Leaking on the A-pillar - water leak went down A pillar, staining the headliner, soaking the airbags and then dripping over the fuse panel. (Dealer couldn't figure this repair out, traded in for a Tacoma after this)
Stay away
I wish I went with the Ram. I got this Silverado because it was cheaper but have been having issues with transmission that are considered “normal” by GM and their dealers. They are forcing me to live with a bad jolt/slip in the transmission and are telling me it’s normal.
Glad I'm Not Buying This Year Chevy
I have been a Chevy truck owner since I was old enough to start buying my own vehicles. I currently own a 2001 and 2015(originally bought both new). I have also owned a 2006 Avalanche. I'm a huge Chevrolet fan but this truck is UGLY!!! The tailgate...I just can't figure out what is so ugly about it but it sure is, along with the squared off looking thing extending from the back of the cab by the roof. Also, the classic bowtie in the center of the grille is now a small one off to the side....not classic Chevrolet. Glad I'm not buying this years truck. Yes, I agree with another person's comment, stop trying to look like all the other trucks!! I'll wait a few more years to see if Chevy straightens out the ugliness!!!
Hard shifts all the time!! Don’t buy this truck!!
I have a 2019 Silverado and i wish I wouldn’t have paid my hard earned money buying this trash. It jerks violently accelerating and coming to a stop. It has 4500 miles on it. Ive taken it to the dealership only to be told its normal. Its embarrassing leaving a store in a brand new truck that shifts so hard, it feels like another car has rear ended me.
Worst vehicle I have ever owned. It's dangerous.
This vehicle is a death trap. It's brake system is dangerously designed. There is no physical connection between the brake pedal and the master cylinder. A switch attached to the pedal "interprets" how much brake to apply and a motor applies the brakes accordingly. This vehicle had a complete brake failure at 1500 miles which could have ended in bodily injury. Fortunately my driving skills prevented any injuries. This vehicle has gone through 5 recalls in less than a year. Four of those recalls involved the brakes. Check the NTSB website for more incident reports.
NOT RELIABLE - Do not buy
I bought my 2019 silverado trail boss new. I cannot emphasize enough NOT TO BUY THIS TRUCK OR GM. This truck immediately started to fall apart and have issues. GM does everything possible to not acknowledge issues. at 80k miles my oil cooler lines blew off and my engine blew entirely. This was a known issue and GM recalled the vehicle in canada and mexico but refuses to do so in the US. The transmission is going too and i've had to replace 2 belts. I will never as long as i live buy another GM or will anyone in my family. DO NOT BUY.
Silverado Trail Boss
I bought a New 2019 Chevy Silverado Trail Boss. This truck cost 60,000. Has leak in the rear window. Jumps into 1 gear. At 35,000 miles has a leak in the rear end. The dealership refused to fix told me it has to be dripping to be fixed. In my experience this only gets worse it will not fix itself. Worst experience for a brand new 60,000 dollar truck.
Safety recall failure
There have been so many safety recalls on my 2019 Chevrolet Silverado truck that I bought brand new and have had less than 2 years. The dealership won’t repair them since I have an ignition interlock on my vehicle. The newest fail is the auto stop feature malfunction. When the engine shuts off it stays off. Not safe for me and two young children out in metroplex traffic. The dealership suggested I move the interlock to another vehicle so I can have it serviced which is not only expensive but I don’t have the means to buy a second vehicle just for this purpose. I will never buy another Chevrolet in my life.
Not what Chevy was pre 2011
Front end constant strut issues. Seat and steering wheel not aligned equals bad back. Poor mileage. Confusing and poor entertainment system and cheesy stereo even in my ltz
spare tire and jack system stinks
the spare is a 17inch temporary tire the tires on truck are 18inch, truck handles very poorly when spare tire is used, I thought using odd sized tires mess up your 4 wheel drive. jack wont get the truck high enough to remove flat tire '
The Chevy 2019 scam
The ads for this vehicle are at least misleading. All the comanies put their vehicles in a good light. Chevy has the ad that says "up to" 420 Hp, the most in its class?. Which class ? the most money you can spend on a half ton truck? You first must purchase the higher end trim LTZ starting at $50K, and then you get to pay for the motor upgrade. So if you want the chevy power it comes with a price tag STArting at $55k. Or for the mid $40's you can get the same old tired 5.3L. For a dying dealer this wasnt the game changer they made it out to be.
all the cars and trucks up till 2014 chevys
looks like a ford f150 and a toyota titian slept together and had foyota and now they are making the new silverado with aluminum the only thing steel is the bed the gauges look cheap for such a expensive truck
Transmission problems wore out in 60,000 MI
The transmission has never been correct since purchase brand new it shutters it shakes it shifts hard it slips and it gets hot it's only got 70,000 miles it's been taken care of but the transmission has always been far from par I would not recommend this truck to anyone I paid $53,000 for a truck that wouldn't even last 100,000 miles and Chevy will not cover the transmission I'm very unhappy with this truck should have bought a Ford
La primer troca y salió con un defecto truena
Es 2019 tiene un defecto le truena la luz que va en la cabina atrás y es muy molesto y no me contestan para arreglarlo
All ready stranded at 597 miles
Ignition switch problems at 597 miles has stranded me. Piece of crap should have bought a Dodge. This is my 12th new GM truck and my last ,quality is in the toilet people don’t buy GM.
Dont want this truck anymore..
Had the truck 2 days, service brake light came on,brought it back to dealer. Said problem was fixed. Took it back home for 1 day, same thing happened. Dealer has had truck 3 weeks now and still not fixed. They said they had to order a tool to bleed the brakes. New master cylinder was bad. Had to replace. S tut oll mo new truck. First payment coming up soon.
10 speed transmission is junk
10 speed transmission went at 4000 miles the new 1 is already sticking and now I have a problem with my air bag and truck is still at the shop the technology is worse then my wife's sonata blind spot detection and lane keep assist only works half the time stay away from these trucks 67000 dollar high country is junk never again will I buy a gm
Interior feels like plastic milk jugs recycled
All the design done to the outside, but no thought to the inside. They say they carried over design from last year model because people liked it so much, yet there are lots of 2018s still on the lot. Was it really worth keeping? I see sales are down 15% for Silverado, so I'm not the only one who thought it was crap. Why spend so much time on stylinging when 95% of the time with the truck is setting in the seats with a cabin filed with cheap hard plastics, and terrible seats. The cloth seats felt like they were seconds from a korean car maker. the leather not much better. Why switch to aluminum panels to save 400 lbs ? for what? the gas mileage is stickered at combined 18mpg. You could drive a vehicle with the aerodynamics of a brick and still get 18mpg. Still 355 hp, much lower than the competitors. Did I mention the interior is crap.. SiriusXM is not even standard on $45,000 plus trucks? Even the cheapest of cars come standard with it. They don't let the cheaper models have LED lights , which cost nothing and a really a safety issue.
Was a Chevy fan
We have owned alot of chevy products over the years. but none have had as many problems as this 2019 silverado. Just under a year of ownership and it has already been in shop 7 times for repairs. The seats are horribly uncomfortable on longer trips. Will probably be trading it for a F150 very soon
Buy Something Else
Truck is 4 months old, 5500 miles and has been jump started Every Month. Was told to crank it every few days to avoid cause they can’t fix it. Battery won’t stay charged a week. Today had to disconnect battery to reboot the computer cause power steering stopped working. This is my 4th GM and can assure all will be last. GM will loose lots of customers over this truck.
Worse truck I ever had
I’ve owned Chevy in the past, I’ve changed engines in all my previous chevy’s so I switch to ram just to see if there’s any difference in maintaining the trucks, and never had any problems with the last three rams I had. I went to purchase another ram but prices were to high so I went back to Chevy trail boss and after three months of ownership it’s always at dealer for maintenance, what a piece of crap, my rams were superior in every way, never again will I purchase another Chevy product
Should have bought a Ford
I've had to take it to the the dealership 4 times for warranty repairs. 3 times for the AC. Biggest xxx I have ever owned. Do yourself a favor and stay away from Chevy.
12000 miles its broke down twice
The fuel pump burnt out, fuel pumpcontroller, the dash burnt out, it shifts weird, theres been about 10 recalls serveral on the breaks, seat belt, battery cable, alternator, the back camera flashes, the metal is thin, too, the interior is cheap. I paid around 40k. It replaced a 18k Nissan frontier. I wish i had my frontier back. This truck is garbage i cant take it into the woods because i dont trust it. I bought truck camper too. I dont venture off road with it because the truck is garbage.
Did not impress me at all
The exterior of this truck is the ugliest front end design I have ever seen on any truck. The grill and lights just make me not want it from the lack of curb appeal alone. I found the interior to be full of plastic and gadgets but no real wow factor. Very generic looking to me. The truck to me did not ride as good as others I have driven. I personally think Chevrolet rushed this out the assembly line. They should go back to the drawing board and try again. Also the price for a fully loaded Chevrolet truck IMO is very over priced. I would not buy one and I have owned Chevy trucks for over 30 years.
This truck has had problems since day 1
This truck has had nothing but problems. Has been in the shop many times for the same thing. And on oct 27th the engine caught fire.
Overengineered
Shifts poorly 4 wd mode is not up to par a computer with wheels for sure cannot be compared to a truck as far as performance design flaws will not be addressed by dealer per gm instructions
New vehicle, 1,200 miles and I can't drive it!
So far I am not impressed, purchased the LTZ thinking it would be more comfortable only to find that the seats are super hard. My engine light came on and it took a couple days to get it in, dealer replaced a module and less than 20 miles later the same happened again. I can't get in for service for 5 days!
Regretful of my purchase - GM sucks
For all the ads in "overall initial quality" I have to imagine they never talk to owners of their vehicles. I am very disappointed in this truck. There are so many glitches in the computer, constantly. OnStar never works, despite paying for it. The apple carplay constantly doesn't work. The climate control thinks it's always off even when it's on. GM will NEVER get back to me about this despite all my messages and asks for help. The front passenger seat isn't even power in a 62k truck? Come on.
Stay away
Truck drove good for a little over 2 years, after that the oil cooler line blew twice, the 2nd time the engine needed to be replaced. After 6 months with a new engine the lifters needed to be replaced. After the lifters were replaced the service parking brake light came on and the truck wouldn’t engage into drive. This was supposedly due to a “software upgrade” and after it came on again a year later I said I’m done. I have never experienced anything like this with any new vehicle. I honestly felt safer in a 2008 cobalt. I tried to have it lemon law’d but GM said it didn’t qualify (which it did) I previously drove a 2016 ram and it never had any problems.
First ever "new" truck, very disappointed...
Worst truck buying experience ever, truly disappointed at Chevy for such a terrible truck, been at the dealership 2 times, 1st time was 17 days and is currently been there for 19 and no clue when it's coming back. I will always buy Chevy trucks just 06 and older.
5.3 Fuel mileage horrible. 8 Spd. Trans woes
City driving avg 15 litres/100. Hwy 12 litres/100. Tow a trailer and it skyrockets from 21 to 30 litres/100. Towed 2 snowmobiles and trailer and ran out of fuel at 348 km. Very disappointing 👎
Exterior five stars but trasmision many problems
Went stop, went change 1 to 2 speed, morning trasmision doesn't work properly, brakes noise morning and too many recalls and dealer said is normal.
Worst Vehicle I have owned
Purchased a 1500 Chevy Silverado about 2 and a 1/2 months ago MFSP $45000. At 495 miles the wiring harness chaffed leaving my truck with no power while driving through the toll both. At apx 1500 miles the brakes let go! And then at about 2800 the service safety restraint light came on and needed a part! Although I have not had to pay to fix it , I have spent a lot of time getting a new truck fixed!
My new 2019 z71 Silverado has been very unreliable
My new truck has been in and out of the shop for the six months I have owned it. Still things continue to malfunction from master cylinders to digital dash. Now I’m back at the shop because the breaks have gone out again. I would wait and let Chevy work the kinks out of this truck. I really regret my purchase and I will probably end up replacing this truck before it’s even a year old.
They took too many things away, no navigation,
This truck looks good, but we didn't know about all the missing things we loved, 12th new Chevrolet truck in 12 years, last one we will own, no navigation!!!, passenger seat is so low and uncomfortable, I'm average height and can hardly see the road as a passenger, it is obvious no women were involved in this interior remake, no place to plug my phone in the storage, but they tell you to use your phone for navigation or pay on,-star, I don't want that!, or the cord for my phone plugged in, no fog lights, my husband almost cried, I cried about the navigation, a super $53,000 disappointment. Ugh
Excellent looking, but poor quality
I really liked the redesign of the vehicle. I initially enjoyed the truck a lot until all of the mechanical and electrical problems. GM acknowledges the issues, but does not have a fix. The vehicle is undriveable and GM is not standing behind and is dragging their feet. I am willing to even take another Silverado that works properly.
2 weeks on service. No responde yet
I bought a silverado 2019 on Dec. Its been 2 weeks i brought to service due to brakes recall. No response yet. They said its the computer for brake and dont have it on stock and dont know when is comming. IT sucks.
Probably will trade vehicle before 36000 miles
Very hard shifts! Road and wind noise very noticeable after 40 mph! Crew Doors had to be aligned which were not fitting properly. I thought this would fix the wind and road noise. It did not. Also, the funny sound the trucks make when you open the door?? like a vacuum sound?
So Many Problems
If I could do it all over again, I would pass on this truck. The Bluetooth doesn't work, there is a rattle that apparently only happens when I.m not at the dealership, the fit and finish is terrible. The transmission will try to snap in half going into 2nd gear if the truck inst warmed up first. All this, plus GM workers are on strike and I cant get the parts to have anything fixed. Ill never buy another Union made vehicle.
What is going on with Chevy?!?
A couple times we have been out and my husband has been driving. He tried to put it in park to turn it off. It wouldn't go into park. Or any gear for that matter. It took a little while longer having to pump the brakes it finally worked. 🤷♀️
Owned many GM trucks over the years
Custom Trail Boss - what every country boy that uses the truck on and off road want. Love the 2" lift. Good for a year (Good Year Tires) are a poor choice. The tires look good BUT don't last!! The split front seat arm rest has NOT STORAGE.....I cant even begin to understand this!? The info screen is no bigger than my cell phone. Come on GM.....we need truck people designing TRUCKS.
Whoops
Thought it was gonna be the truck of my dreams. Subtle, yet significant changes to the interior. As simple as no sunglasses holder. I didn’t realize I was so dependent on one. The seats are comfortable, but I’m not confident the cloth is gonna hold up well. Idk what the DFM w/ auto/start stop is doing for me-I’m getting 13.5, maybe 14 mpg around town. I know I got a truck and shouldn’t expect much, but what’s the point in the DFM and auto start/stop. I’m sure Chevy will remedy the poor interior quality as I’ve found most are disappointed. I just didn’t realize I would be til it was too late.
Ugliest Chevrolet truck ever
Powerful drive train as expected from GM, good ride. Ugliest truck ever to wear the bowtie...very disappointed...stop trying to look like every other truck out there!
It's ok
The truck is ok there is no storage, like the dodges. The paint is thin. Could be a little better on the thickness. The truck is comfortable to drive handles well withe computer controlled traction set up. Would I recommend a 1500 no unless you want to drive a car with a truck body.
worst truck ever
what we really wanted loved it when we bought it nothing but a headache since.transmission issues and they have no fix.replace transmission or give money back seems like the right thing to do
Transmission Problems
Interior design on my 2014 Silverado was superior. Rides nice and good miles per gallon, but I have a persistent transmission issue the dealer does not acknowledge or can not fix. Occasionally, usually on a cold morning start, it shifts into first gear with a jolt. It has happened only twice after being driven, taking off from a stop sign. It feels like you’ve been rear ended! That’s how jolting it is. I’m not happy.
Never again
I bought an 2019 trail boss z71 had nothing but problems. The radio and dash lost all power took two weeks to get fixed. The rear window had an bad water leak Chevy said they took care of it and had to back into the shop again had to replace the whole window assembly again. Rear end slams real hard from reverse or on slow turn
Great truck, awful reliability
I have a $65,000 diesel 2500 that has constant reliability issues. The most recent is waiting for a DEF module for 6 weeks. Chevrolet customer care is a joke. Buy a Toyota.
Most disappointing Chevrolet truck I've owned
Ride is not as good as my 2015 Silverado was. Headlights are a poor design, not projecting to the side or ahead sufficiently. Has had 5 recalls. Tailgates drops on its own, even a after returning from dealer. When shifting at times it slams into the next gear, not gliding in as it should. Temperature gauge seldom accurate. Horn toots often when getting into vehicle. Heated seat stopped working after a few months.
4 RECALLS IN LESS THAN 6 MONTHS!!!
I bought my first Silverado 1500 back in May of 2015. I was so excited and it didn’t disappoint. Made the decision this past summer that I’d like to trade it in for a 2019. Wasn’t unhappy with it at all and could have kept it longer, but the mileage was getting up there and I knew it was gonna need work soon, so decided to trade it in while it still had decent value. On Aug 5th I purchased a new 2019, after getting a great deal for my trade and a terrific monthly payment. Well let me tell ya, I have come to seriously regret my decision. It has been less then 6 months of owning it and I’ve already had 3 recalls taken care of and had to have the compressor for the AC replaced because the clutch was not engaging. Both issues required me to take time off of work as I was told by my dealership that the work could only be done during the week. Now I find out that on the 30th there was a 4th recall that came out that has to do with the braking system. Yet again, more time I will have to take from work to get it taken care of. I am just beyond disappointed in Chevy. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had with a new car or truck!!!
Terrible truck
5 recalls, how do use this vehicle for work when it has so many recalls took it into Hendricks in Buford last week and they found wet carpet under passenger side, they said they would worry about that when I bring it back in for another fault in the window motor. Now my whole side driver she was nothing but water, why was this not addressed or taken care of when they saw water on the floor. Now I have to drop my truck off again
worst seat in the industry
we have a 2019 silverado 1500 the seats are so hard they hurt to ride after a 30 min they forgot to redesign the seats very disappointed. chevy for the money you pay they seats should be comfortable may be the last chevy i buy FIX THE SEATS !!!! not my first but maybe the last
Long Distance Travel is Painful
First time Chevrolet owner who quickly learned that the comfort level in long distance travel is murder on my back. I would definitely go back to FORD if I could because of that. In addition, the console in the top of the truck is loose and needs repair, the carpet on the driver's side is already loose and looks bad....I regret my decision to go with Chevrolet.
Looks good but ride doesn’t match
Like the body style and LED headlights but that’s about it .The jarring ride from the smallest road imperfection that you don’t experience on the short test drives and the constant back and forth jerking sensation during regular highway driving from transmission, driveline?humming noise?Tiring short 20 minute commute and my z71 4x4 let me down for my 50k spent!
Best Fuel Economy I have ever had in a Silverado!
1500 LT New Body Style. Overall A nice quiet ride and plenty of Power. 5.3 / DFM/ 8 sp Trans are Great. Completely blindsided that the towing package did not come with integrated brake controller ! The factory version can't be added afterwards. My previous Silverado's all had them included with towing package. Now you have to be extremely careful to read the fine print on the sticker, if you expect Gm to include it, if its not listed as a separate item on the options added, you're hosed ! Xm radio is not automatic either anymore, and again not able to add a factory upgrade to get it afterwards. My bad for trusting Gm after owning about 20 Silverado's and Express Vans ! My 2016 and 2017 came standard in LT package with Xm built into the radio's. The Express LT come with Standard 110v outlets too, NOT the 2019 1500LT. I thought I could add that too, according to GM, no way! For a truck that has a sticker of over $45,000 , these items should have been on this truck! I should not have to spend over $50K to get items that used to be standard in LT packages ! I use this truck for work and towing a 4500 LBS enclosed Trailer sometimes. Work is not an option to check on this review format. I don't always need my 2500 or 3500 trucks and vans that get 12 mpg. I blew it for not double checking on these items before I finalized the deal, GM blew it my deleting previously included options as a reasonable price point. Reliability may be an issue too, erratic whine coming out of drivetrain that matches actual ground speed just started after 1200 miles. I owned a 2001 Silverado 2500 HD with 8.1 V-8 that died routinely on the highway for 2 to 3 hours at a time, Gm repurchased that after 6 months and too many crank sensor replacements to count. I hope after trusting GM and buying 12 more 2500 HD and 3500 HD Silverado's since then, I don't get to go thru the grief of another repurchase !
LEAST RELIABLE CAR I'VE OWNED
I purchased this vehicle on March 20th and I had to take it in on April 9th and they had to swap out the main PCB of the car and i still feel the main PCB kicking into the transmission like on third gear it would stall a little and you will feel a light bang.
Typical GMC product
xxx intell system turns down my ringer volume on my Iphone ever time I get in my truck and I can send blue tooth texts through my intell system but not receive them
Worst truck I’ve ever owned
Lots of transmission issues that know one knows how to fix because computers don’t tell them what’s wrong. What ever happened to old school mechanic?
front end problems
I've owned chevys all my life, this one has a front end issue that chevy and the dealers have no ideal how to fix, after driving for approx. 30 minutes it has a rattle start making noise, its been in the shop twice to be repaired and it still has the issue, my dealer has no ideal or does it even want to try to repair. another dealer has thrown parts at it but has not fixed anything. I guess I'm stuck with it.
A good and reliable well kept vehicle, thank you s
Am very much satisfied with this truck, the condition, the room and how it handles on the road. Hard to believe, how the interior is in such good condition.
Decent truck but too expensive.
Quiet, decent ride, plenty of power. Not the most comfortable seats for the cost of High County. 2014 LT had more comfortable seats in my opinion.
Nice truck but does have transmission problems
3 weeks after purchasing my truck it developed a strange lurching motion when coming to a stop. Apparently GM has known about this and other problems with the 8 speed transmission since it came out about 4 years ago but doesn’t have a fix yet so do your research before buying any GM vehicle with this transmission
FORD F150
this truck is better then the chevrolet silverado high country i will not recommend any friend to buy ore lease one i will definitely recommend to buy a ford f150
Nervous to buy a chev again
This vehicle like my 2017 drives nice , looks nice but the experience Iam having with my 2017 a vibration in the gas pedal and clunking in the rear end and the complete b.s I’ve had to go threw the past 8 months not impressed with the service from the dealer or from gm . Charged me for repairs on a truck with warranty still on it , been lied to and deceived on answers about what was going on with the truck . Been a gm man all my life but considering hard on going to different brand . Overall truck is beautiful but if you get a dud like I did , sorry bout your luck cause no will be done for you .👎
Led astray
Bought brand new for 50,000 dollars with defective 8 speed transmission wish I had bought 10 speed . Had it flushed with mobile tb19 na 121 ,not holding out much hope for fix or proper life of transmission . Probably am going to take a big hit . My 5th silverado probably my last
Roomy and powerful
Have the custom crew 5.3 .only wish it had center storage and volume controls.these should be standard on a 40 thousand dollar truck.great family truck ,great for pulling and bed hauling.
Great truck marred by cheap interior, poor handlin
Pros: Decent truck, decent power and fuel economy ratio (impressive for a 4x4 with a V-8 engine), great looks, LED lighting illuminates very well Cons: Tricky handling (so bad I lost control a couple times on rough roads, requiring a hard slam on the brakes) and cheap interior compared to others Overall, it's pretty decent. I've had it in shop for repairs more than all of my other trucks combined, but all were minor and I've never been stranded. The power from the engine is slightly less than my other truck (in fact, barely noticeable), but the fuel economy is way better and well worth the small sacrifice in power. Seats are not exactly plush but will do, even for long trips. The handling is pretty good on flat roads but not on rough roads. I have actually lost control twice due to the tricky twin-tube shocks the Z71's come with. I believe it's a safety hazard. I wasn't even going fast, it was more like 35 mph on a road that had dried dirt from the recent flood. The list of standard equipment is pretty good and the incentives were unbelievable, especially for the first-year model. Would I buy it again? Very likely, yes.
GM CAN DO BETTER I THINK.
Seems to be ok, corporate gm shows in this build as you can tell care wa
