Faulty Engine Block
I had this car for 2 years.. then since August of 2019 had power issued, coolant on my driveway, I brought it in and they replace the gasket, still problematic, they ask me to come in to top up the coolant, and replaced a hose, I stalled and lights kept coming on.. they said it was the booster.. then it still stalled, and lost power.. finally they did a comb over and it was a faulty designed engine block.. it should be a recall, it is a faulty design and yet they keep pushing it under the rug for other unsuspecting clients, Ford is not standing behind their product.. if fianlly after 4 months of xxxx is fixed . IT SHOULD BE A RECALL . do not buy 2017 ford escape.

Great all around and capable vehicle.
2.0L titanium 4x4 with tow package is the best of utility, capability, luxury and performance. It is fast, super comfortable, has a great sound system and tows 3500 pounds with ease. I have averaged 25.7 mpg over 13,000 miles of driving. If you would drive 70mph vs 75+ it would easily get 28 to 30+ mpg on highway.

Roomy, midsized, comfortable and economic!
Super easy to drive, minimal blindspot, controls are ergonomically designed and easy to use! Actually bought this for my 18 year old daughter who picked it out herself which says alot, most kids want sporty.

Love this style of small car
this car is exactly what I was looking for , small but has plenty of room for traveling comfortably. This car is very good on gas mileage a plus in this day of high gas prices.

Small but roomy
So far so go, I was looking for a small SUV and the escape found me. It's only been 3 weeks but I find this vehicle to roomy, pretty good on gas, I love the rearview camera.

engine light: #2 cyl. mis-firing, new short block
3rd Escape, '02 new, finally rusted, traded for low mileage '08; 2017 bought '17, less than 3k miles. At 32,200 Engine light on. Finally Ford of Claremont, N.H. say Ford Motor Company states needs new short block, under warranty. Must wait three weeks for parts, one week for repair. They are now repairing second vehicle with same problem, ours will be third one. It's 1.5 EchoBoost engine. Why no recall? After long history with Fords (my first one was 1940) (snowplow truck 2005 w/over 100K) I wish Ford would just put in a new engine and re-start the warranty clock. Any chance of that being considered? At age 85 it might be my last Escape but hope not. It's the wife's car and she's only 84 so she will probably get another one if we get this one corrected.
