Worst car I've owned next to Hyundai.
Mechanics dream because he will always have work! I've had the car less than two months and over 3three weeks in the shop over two occasions. warranty won't cover a true lemon!

My Escape Titanium Awd with a 2.0 EcoBoost
The Escape was a great small SUV that was completely trouble free for it's 30,000 miles. If Ford would offer performance parts for that vehicle's 2.0. It possible I would still be driving it. I added Magnaflow Cat-Back and cold air, but just not enough to quinch my thrust for performance. If strong performance is not a requirement. I recommend taking a look at the Ford Escape. Ford needs to add the Mustang HP EcoBoost to the "ST" Escape.

Still making a snapping noise
Really great vehicle, excellent gas mileage and plenty of power (2.0). I still hear a snap from the suspension when it goes over bumps. They replaced a part in the one front strut but apparently that was not the fix.

High maintenance overshadows the positives
I purchased my Escape in September 2016 and have since put 21,000 miles on it. When it works it's very responsive to steering, braking and acceleration. It's comfortable to ride in all seasons, has plenty of cargo space, and provides many conveniences. These include multiple USB ports, rear camera for backing up, sensors which indicate a presence in blind spots and when backing up, and an app that communicates with the car. My experience has been tarnished however by the high frequency of problems which force me to take it back to the shop time and again. In the three short years I've owned my new Escape the A/C unit failed, the turbo charger failed, the anti-lock brakes faulted, and the accelerator acted unresponsive multiple times; including one recent instance where the Check Engine light blinked on and off for a full minute after I simply pressed down hard on the accelerator (not all the way). A number of parts were defective and had to be replaced; on two occasions my car was in the shop for over a week. I don't know how much longer my Escape will last, but I don't expect it to be very long and I don't expect my next car will be a Ford. I've never had so many problems with a new car as this one.
