Superduty!

by midnightsmoker37 from Los Angeles on December 25, 2007

Despite the history if the unfamous 6.0. I have had 2 and have yet to have a real problem. Runs good gets 20mpg unloaded and is comfy for a truck.

Good Tuck for the Money

by truck guy from MA on April 16, 2007

Very good Truck for the Money. Rides nice for a large vehicle. Just wish came with better tires for winter driving. Would buy this Truck again. Like the Diesel due to the MPG.

Outstanding Camper Truck

by WWLT (Woman who loves trucks) from Boise, ID on July 23, 2011

I purchased this truck from its original owner along with a Lance Camper. I have had no problems with it; it has plenty of power to carry one of the heaviest campers available. I have heard - and read about - the problems with the 6.0 engine but after four years of ownership have only needed to keep up with the scheduled maintenance. The local mechanic who takes care of this truck tells me he has seen some with problems at 85,000 miles and some with no problems at 150,000 miles so who knows if it's better or worse than other trucks.

Great truck, reliable truck.

by F350 owner from Edmonton Canada on August 26, 2016

The 6.0 powerstroke is a great all around truck. Has plenty of power tow and a very nice ride for being a 1 ton truck. Mine averages around 17 mpg stock which is impressive for its size. Interior is fairly basic on xlt and lariat trims but Harley Davidson, King Ranch and outlaw editions bring it up to a nice touch. They do require frequent oil changes as the oil has 3 jobs to do. 1) lubricate the engine 2) operate the fuel injection system 3) control the turbos vane geometry. The 2 fuel filters also need to be changed often. Once they become dirty, injectors won't get a full fill and causes premature wear to them. When owners neglect these you can quickly see how they received the reputation they have. Be proactive on your search. Get records from previous owners, bring the vehicle in for an inspection as well as paying to get the motor scanned and take a look at how the vehicle has been taken care of overall.

Fantastic truck for towing + full size campers.

by Dusty from Southwest United States on March 12, 2013

Towed 17,000 lbs. in Nevada 130 degree desert no problem. AC still ice cold. Engine temp remained normal even during steep hills. All dealership maintenace so no problems. 10 year powertrain warranty transferable. Ford backs this truck if you do all scheduled maintenance. I've heard of the bad rapping of these trucks, but they always said they "did not have it serviced by the dealer or can not prove they maintained it". That voids the ten year warranty. Make sure you by from original owners with maintenace verified. You will be a happy camper!

Good truck for the money

by Dually Fan from Hickory NC on December 20, 2011

So far, So good. Rather concerned about the 6.0 diesel engine, but, the power and a little more info from my dealer have eased my concerns.

Powerful truck great for towing .

by SuperiorPNT from Clive, Ia on February 27, 2018

Love it! Very comfortable and it doesn’t matter how long or short your legs are. Seats move in every direction and has a button for the foot peddles to move closer to you . Has every option you could want in a truck. When hauling a 40 ft trailer to doesn’t even seam like it has a load on. Never had a problem with the truck.

Decent truck

by Viking Mike from Lexington on April 24, 2017

First auto diesel I've bought, so far it's a very solid vehicle. A little rough when it's cold, but once the engine warms up, it purs like a kitten.
