2013 Civic SI

I've always owned a Honda. First car was a 1986 accord. Then a 1993 hatchback. Now a 2013 Civic SI. My dream car from when I started driving but could never afford. I'm so happy to finally have it. It was purchases brand new, I've had it for exactly two years now. Only issue is a nut has fallen off of the wing. I'll have them replace that at my next oil change. It's a stiff ride (but that's to be expected with the SI), a little bit noisy (road noise), sound system could be better and hey, a turbo would have been a great addition but those are my only criticisms. Beautiful easy to clean interior. Sexy exterior. Great nav and rear view camera. Fantastic standard driving, so easy to drive. I make excuses to go places just to be in my car.

My 3rd and worst Honda

I also have a 2011 Accord sedan and a 2002 Civic coupe, both with 4 cylinders. Bought the Accord new and it now has over 70k miles, not a single issue. Solid! My 1st ever Honda and a gem. Bought the 02 Civic in April of 2014 and have driven over 20k miles, no problems. It has 125k miles on it now. The 2013 Civic coupe is a disappointment. Honda sloped the coupes roof line way too much, my head touches the ceiling while I'm reclined quite a bit and I'm only 5'10". It has an anti-freeze leak somewhere (in the dash I believe) that the techs can't find. Strong smell with the heater on and all the dash "glass" had a film on the inside and had to be replaced, yet was still told that there isn't a leak. So where did the oily film come from? Honda dealer pressure tested it and didn't find a leak. The automatic transmission shifter had a vibration/noise coming from it, dealer replaced it, still has a sound, so they are replacing things along the way in an effort to find the cause. Radio reception is poor, how does that happen? Also, the display screen is beyond annoying. Try taking your seat belt off, get ready for a barrage of sound and light! Same with leaving the key in ignition, opening the door, etc. These warning announcements have been getting worse over the past 30 years and this car takes the cake. It's way over the top in annoyance. Overall, this is NOT what I expected from a Honda. Be vigilante with the details if looking at the newly updated Civic coupe.

Expected a great car and it delivered

My previous car was a 2012 civic 2dr 5spd. A well styled commuter car that produced fantastic gas mileage but short on performance. The cure was to sell it and buy a 2013 Civic SI, im an older guy and couldn't see myself in the re-styled 2014--looks to much of a "tuner" kind of a ride. The 2013 SI has great styling, a nice interior, a great ride and handling and has a pretty quick 4 cyl. motor. Around town the 2012 Civic used to get 36 mpg, the 2013 SI gets 29mpg (according to the on-board computer). I'll take the -7mpg and drive around with a smile on my face, I really like the car.

Very nice car

I bought 2013 honda civic coupe. Had 32 miles. Still on showroom floor and paid 3000 less than worth. It is comfortable and have plenty of room for my needs. Have room for grandchildren.

false advertising

i called in to see a honda civic 2013. they advertised at a price of $16733.00. I asked them before going in if this is a final price, they said it is not and it is negotiable. when i reached there, they added a 710.00 fee on top of the price saying they do this for every vehicle they sell. and they price was non negotiable, they came down about $100 bucks after adding the 710 fee and the car had scratches all over the body. baasically they try to lure customers by false advertising, once you go in there they jack up the price

Efficient car for well under $20K

At 6' 4" I have no comfort problems in this car. I can't understand some of the reviews that say they don't have room in the cabin. Likewise, I don't understand how anybody is getting such low mileage unless they are just romping on the gas. I'm averaging 33mpg in mixed driving (50/50 city/highway, maybe even 60/40). Right at one year of driving, 18K miles, plenty of cold weather & snow and plenty of hot weather with A/C running. Radio works great, CD, and aux input for MP3 all work fine. You can't expect high-end luxury for under $20K (off the lot including taxes). You get a decent performing car. Some people must just like to whine and complain.

A Positive Experience

This was an easy one to buy. I just wanted an inexpensive new car with great gas mileage. I narrowed my choices and settled on the Civic. Obviously Honda makes a reliable car. I bought it at Prime Honda. I rolled my eyes as the salesperson (Sean) was pretty young. Surprisingly he pretty much knew what I wanted --and-- there was very little price haggling!!! The car itself is great on gas mileage and basically runs itself. The comfort level isn't great (no compacts are) but the price was. All in all a positive experience.
