I bought a '13 Elanta Limited fully loaded in January 2012, and boy did I geta good value! The Limited has luxurious leather seats that are heated up front and in the back, and it's a small car! They are so comfortable, even slightly more comfy that my 2003 Hyundai XG350L, which it itself is an impressive car as well. It rides quite well, even over bumps, and handles with grace, though it is no sports car. The steering is well-weighted as well. I am very pleased with Hyundai's products over the past 9 years or so, and this car is no exception. Very satisfied costumer!

Love the looks. Was drawn to the car by MPG rating. We do actually get both city and hwy rating consistently. We have had a few issues though and the service dept. was terrible. I brought it in after having trouble with either key-fob being able to unlock the doors or trunk, and also being unable to get the shifter out of park. (Yes, foot firmly on brake) These are both intermittent and random but still often enough to be annoying. The first person I talked to in service dept. said it was a common problem and set up an appointment. When I brought the car back they said there were no error codes and thus weren't going to do anything. So what am I suppose to do, live with not being able to get into my car or put it in gear? What are the chances someone in the service dept. will agree to ride around with me so he can "be there" when it happens? Why set up an appointment to do nothing when they admit a common problem? The car is OK but I'm beginning to regret the purchase.

I did extensive researched before even looking at this car. I had recently started a new job in Chicago and the commute was very stressful and painful at the pump. I was looking for some way to make the ride fun and reduce gas costs. The Elantra SE has far exceded my expectations. The 6 speed stick shifts very smoothly and combined with the great handling results in a very pleasant sporty feel to the car...not a rough ride like some. The moon roof is open whenever the weather allows since it's not too noisey as it was in my previous vehicle which remained closed 99% of the time. Fuel mileage is great too: I'm getting 36 city and 42 highway. Another feature I really like are the heated seats...I have some minor back pain and the seats are great therapy. Visibility is even pretty good for such sporty styling. I have only a few, very minor, negatives. The seat is a little low for a 62 year old but the driving experience is worth the effort of getting in and out. I would like to have a rearview camera but it was not an available option with the manual transmission. Bottom line...I love it.

I purchased a new 2013 elantra limited. the vin started w/5 so im sorry to say that it was made in the usa. I love the body style and the claimed mpg, that's what lead me to test drive this car. the test drive felt good except the ride was a slightly rough or choppy but I thought I could live with it since I really liked the body style. after driving the car about 500 miles I noticed the front end making knocking sounds while going over bumps in the road around 20-25 mph. I also noticed the headliner rattling (I have the sunroof). I also noticed a slight rough idle occasionally. I took the car in to get looked at and was told there is a bulletin on the front end but no fix yet and they couldn't recreate the problem on any of my concerns. since then I have taken the car in 3 more times and not one thing has been fixed. Hyundai corporation is no help either. I have also had problems with the bluetooth ocasionally not connecting with my phone when I enter the car and surprise, they wont do anything about that either. to top it off I travel about 95% hwy miles and I average about 31 mpg, no where near the 38 claimed. to be fair it is winter but I don't have much faith there will be a huge change. at least the problems I have are not mechanical and the car always starts and gets me where I need to go. just a warning, if your interested in this car take it on a very long test drive over multiple road conditions before you buy. road noise can be very loud over some surfaces. pay close attention to suspension noises no matter how slight, once you hear them your senses will focus on them and will drive you crazy. For a car that stickered for 25k I expected much more.

Replaced my 2011 Elantra Limited with the new 2013 Limited. Not much difference interior or exterior but Hyundai has done some minor tweeks and it seems by listening to Elantra owners input. I use the car mainly for commuting 80-100 miles a day both urban and rual driving. Gas mileage on the new car is average of 32 right now. On my 2011, I noticed +5-6 mpg after hitting the 8k-10k miles driven mark. The 2013 has the active ECO button to keep you at the best driving habit to maximize efficiency but still has the power when you step on it to pass uphill (Blue Ridge Mountain driving). Only minus so far is the Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) are not automatic and once manually activated, the parking lights illuminate as well. Minor issue but perhaps another "tweek" and the 2014 will solve the issue. I just turned 1100 miles on the 2013 and love the looks I get from other drivers and the recognition from other Elantra drivers. Once you know, you know.

I bought this car after looking and driving about 25 other cars (i kid you not). Orignially I wanted the sonata becasue it similar in size to my current car (a ford taurus). Decided to go with the elantra because it was more affordable. I got the 2013 GLS with the popular package. I originally thought some of the extras on the popular package would just never be used, like the phone feature. However, I can say I highly enjoy the extra features that come with this package and they are being used. Exterior wise, the car looks really sharp to me. It looks kind of sporty and I've never had a sporty looking car. Interior wise, it does have a little more plastic feature wise than i was used to, but overall it still looks fine. I do feel the fabric for the seats is kinda cheap - i keep thinking it will tear easily, but as i've only had the car a week, i can't say how durible the fabric will actually be. There are some quirky features on the car that I couldn't figure out easily and had to be looked up - such as how to get the dome light to come on when you open the door.. (there is a switch) and also i couldn't figure out how to get the wiper fluid to come on (very easy once i read how). The car drives great so far. its very responsive and is a comfortable ride for me. Gas mileage appears to be as advertised for the most part - which is great as normally i would fill my car weekly. its the end of the week and I still have half a tank in the elantra. also, its rare we would have back seat passengers but I think the back seat room is acceptable. so far i'm very pleased with this purchase.

Bought this car in 2012 handles very well great pick up and performance for a 1.8L. Descent gas mileage 29-30mpg city if I don't launch it to hard otherwise about 27mpg. Haven't had it out on the highway much but from what experience I've had anywhere from 37-42mpg. Interior is very nice and clean lines even inside. This is one car that can't be beat.

I traded in my 2000 Elantra with 175,000 miles on it for a new one with 10. The 2000 was a good reliable car. The new one so far with only 1,000 miles is a delight! I am 6'3" and 240lbs, and this is the first car I have owned that I don't have to put the seat all the way back. Plus there is ample head room as well. The car rides like a large car, and the part I like the most is 38 mpg. on the first tank! I drive 33 miles to work and it is mostly rural with little stop and go till the last 5 miles. My third tank is getting 40.1 mpg. and I don't use the stupid "ECO" mode because I don't like how the car performs with the ECO button pushed. To each his own on that. I like the way the interior is laid out with easy access to all the controls. The sound system is good but not great. Only negative is the vision, which of course you are going to lose with the more aerodynamic design, but you get used to it soon. I got the Bronze color which really looks sharp. I have not driven the competitors in this class, but I can't imagine a better ride and gas mileage for the price. Nice job Hyundai!

From the unique exterior to the roomy interior this was the perfect choice for my family. The fact this car won the north american car of the year last year made me interested, but when I saw it I was hooked. I purchased the gls with upgraded package for the eco boost system. This package also includes many of the features of the limited models. I have to say with all of the warranty provided I couldn't have made a wiser choice.
