Honda or Toyota Here I come

I am ready to trade in my 2004 Jeep Liberty Limited Edition. My Jeep has only 37,500 miles and already has needed to be towed twice to the dealership. My boss bought his Toyota Highlander at the same time I bought the Jeep...he has over 130,000 miles on his Toyota with NO breakdowns. This week "the Jeep" was towed because of a Drive Belt Tensioner, which cost me $260 Plus Tax. Women out there be warned...even though Jeep advertises a 7 Year 70,000 mile power train protection as soon you pass 36,000 miles guess what it seems all non-power train parts start breaking down.

Good Overall SUV

The Liberty is a good compromise. It won't be mistaken for anything other than the SUV it is, but it has road manners that are sophisticated enough to serve well as a daily driver. There is ample torque (sometimes a bit too much), and the power from the engine flows to the wheels efficiently. The automatic transmission shifts smoothly, but will complain if pushed too hard. Cargo room is adequate, but could be a bit larger. Fuel economy is average, and the Liberty is a bit heavy. I am very impressed with the Selec-Trac 4WD system.

worst idea ever

i would never buy this SUV ever again. it has to get the worst gas millage ever. i drive 15 miles a day and maybe 40 around town every week i spend about $60 a week in gas. this is not a good car if you just take it to work and back.It has some weird clicks when you exselarate for no reason. i honestly hate the suv and was swindeled buy the dealership i over paid buy $3000 for the jeep. im not happy.
