Plenty of leg room - comfortable - great sound system - easy to use convertible top- fancy wheels and low profile tires.

Class, style and a visceral driving experience

by BillyBob from Seattle, WA on Fri May 11 2018

The radio isn't good, it needs 100 more hp, tranny needs update etc. etc. All those are true but when you get in and drive it all those things don't matter anymore. You feel great and enjoy a passionate all-Italian vehicle. You have to pay for Lambo/Ferrari to get a better sounding car so I never need a radio. It turns heads everywhere and commands respect for it's class and style. I'm sold!

Great Car

by Happy Customer from Gainesville, Florida on Sun Apr 22 2018

Have only owned my dream car for a week. I looked at lots of other hi end cars in this price range, but in the end decided this car provided a terrific blend of looks, style, comfort, and performance. Plus, its really fun to drive a Maserati - you don't see very many of them so it gets lots of attention. As far as reliability, time will tell, but I elected to purchase an extended warranty out to 8 years.

Our Take on the 2018 Maserati GranTurismo

The verdict:

Like an aging Italian wine, the 2018 Maserati GranTurismo is still smooth, tasty and satisfying — if a little behind the times.

Versus the competition:

The GranTurismo is ready for its update, as almost all competitors have shifted to turbocharged engines, transmissions with more gears, electronically adaptive suspensions and advanced connectivity options. The GranTurismo instead banks on its looks, heritage and ongoing cachet, of which it has plenty.

What's the difference between a sports car and a grand touring car? It's a subtle distinction, but an important one when discussing expensive or exotic machinery like the 2018 Maserati GranTurismo convertible seen here. This grand touring car, a "GT," is meant to be fast, but it's not meant to be a track star. You could take a GT onto a track for some fun, but you're much more likely to take one down a coastal road to dinner on the shore with a couple of friends along. GTs tend to have more seats, a softer ride and handling, and more creature comforts than sports cars. The Maserati GranTurismo I spent some time with recently fits this role perfectly.
