E550 4Mstic

A really solid well made motorcar. Not as roomy as my S500 4Matic, but my children are now grown and this is a more sensible ride. Many of the features such as lane keeping assist, night vision and distronic are very valuable to me, but without them, the vehicle is still a treat to drive every day.

Excellent Car

I have only had the car a short time, but it is a dream to drive and passengers seemingly love it too. All of the "toys" work nicely and are highly integrated. I do find the lack of backup sensors is a negative mark. Yes, it does have the backup camera while many lesser cars have both. If you purchase the distance monitoring system, you then have a phased array radar view all around the car and the added protection that system provides. If I ordered another one, I would have that option included. I have the P2 Package and really enjoy the adaptive bi-xenon headlights. This car rules the night!

Best there is

E350 Luxury sedan is the top car in its field. Much better than Lexus, BMW, Audi, Infiniti, Cadillac, etc. Bottom line pricing is also much better when all costs are considered. The exterior and interior styling are perfect. Rides comfortably and offers most amenties without purchasing the expensive options. Performance is excellent unless you want to race or burn rubber. Only downside is the cost of maintenance. But, competitors are also high.

Great car, fun to drive!

Bought the 2010 E350 Coupe, black on black, P1 and wood wheel & shift knob options. This car is very comfortable and has a great ride! I did a great deal of research and found this to be the best value for the money. Although I was worried about some of the quality issues posted by other owners, after having the car for 3 weeks, no issues of any kind thus far. The ride and sound quality of the stereo are great, handling and performance, as well as gas mileage are not. My other car is a late model Corvette which performs much better but nothing compares to the Benz when you seek pure comfort as this is a car for cruising, not a street racer. The technology is abundant but the internal storage space for sunglasses, CD cases and the like is very limited. The trunk and fold down seats offer great cargo capacity. This car, at least mine in black on black, is a real head turner and gets a great deal of admiration from onlookers in part due to the pillarless design and panorama roof giving it a very airy and open look. Many functions have redundant controls and some of the features such as the GPS navigation are not intuitive. Overall, this is a great car and I have no regrets and highly recomend it. The jury is still out on reliabilty as the vehicle is still in the 1,000 mile break in period and the gas mileage is less than advertised under normal driving conditions. I think the wood wheel and shift knob package, while costly, really makes a difference and I love all the little thoughful design considerations such as the seat belt extendor and the trunk handles to close it without putting your hands on the paint to name just a few. Drive this car, compare it to its competition and you will be hooked too!

2010 E550

Traded 2007 E550 which I loved but the new 2010 E550 is even better in handling, performance, and styling. Still believe the E550 should have discrete styling and/or wheels vs. the 350.

Great Diesel!

Bought slightly used (9K miles) 4 years ago and have put 110K on it myself. Superb highway cruiser with 35 mpg. Great combination of size, comfort, performance and economy. Highly recommend it to anyone who drives a lot.

Best E series YET!

Bought Palladium Silver E350 RWD sedan with P1 pkg, wheel pkg. in January. Have had it about a month. Truly the best E class they've ever made, and I've had 7 of them in the past 20 years. Rearview camera excellent addition, moving NAV screen to top center of dash instead of bottom center another plus for visibility and safety; Major difference between previous E's is RIDE and HANDLING, superior!

Gentleman's Express

A brand new design with zero faults. Fantastic! The E-550 seemed expensive but it's really a completely different car from the 350...it has air suspension, AMG wheels, four piston front brakes instead of one, leather, sport steering wheel with paddle shifters, etc. The driver's sport seat is terrific and the steel grey color is distinguished. My first Mercedes was a 190SL, which perfectly suited my stage of life at the time. The 550 4-Matic does that for me now. Fifty years ago the Aston Martin did 0 to 100 to 0 in thirty seconds - - a gentleman's express, it was called, I think by Sports Cars Illustrated. The 550 will do that in around 15 seconds. Kudos to Mercedes for producing this car. By the way, get the sport model, not the luxury model, if you care about performance, even if you get the E-350.

looks,confort,and reliability

at first when I saw the car and price I was not so crazy about it. after taking it for a test drive I love it and bought it. I must say Iam gad I did. I must say best car I have ever driven. had the BMW 530 and my wife had the G300 and I must say it is offensive to even compare them to the new Eclass.

E-350; Technical tour de force

The E-350 I drove for three full days was loaded with hi-tech features. The Optional DISTRONIC PLUS cruise control is the greatest new feature for the morning commute since the travel coffee mug. The optional hard-drive-based navigation system is much more intuitive than the previous generation and the blue tooth system is easy to set up and automatically activates upon each entry to the vehicle. Performance in a straight line of the E-350 was adequate for 95% of Mercedes-Benz target customers and now mileage is very good too for a car of its size. Passive and active safety features abound. No one should feel unsafe in this sedan. This E-Class is a great value in the mid-size luxury sedan segment. It is the Champion of my ring.
