Beautiful car for the money. I was looking for a car with a six cylinder which uses regular fuel. Discussed this topic with salesman and mechanic. Both stated that the car used regular fuel. I later found a Consumer Report article which stated that the car used premium fuel. Thinking this might be an old article, I again asked the sales man and mechanic if the car used regular or premium fuel. Both stated that Consumer Report is in error and the car only uses regular fuel. I now know that the Consumer Report was correct.

I used to think Nissan was junk until the past few years, they have really stepped up their game. I bought a 2011 Maxima SV with the sports package. The 290hp engine is fantastic. The car recommends premuim gas (for maximum performance), but runs great even on regular, which is awesome considering gas is going up, again! The interior is Beautiful! It doesn't look cheap and the lines and stitching are executed nicely. The front seats hold you like a glove and the seat and steering wheel heater/warmer is great in the cold. It even has bucket seats in the back. For the price, you are getting an Amazing car with a powerful engine and Infinity grade interior. Better than any Bimmer or Benz i've driven....i used to own a BMW X5 and i don't regret trading it in. I gave performance 4, instead of 5 stars, because when you give the gas a good push (which has excellent response) there is a bit of torque steer and the front ends lifts up a bit much. Make this car rear wheel drive and it's PERFECT! I am very happy to be a Maxima owner!

I bought a 2011 Nissan Maxima SV a few months ago. It had 10,000 miles on it or so and is totally loaded. It's got the navigation and leather seats. Cruise, dual sunroof - however the rear one does not open. It's got a rear spoiler and heated/cooled front drivers seat. The front passenger seat is heated also but not cooled. So far so good - the performance of the engine is so much better than my prior car which was a 2004 Honda Accord 4 banger. I love the acceleration off the line and the handling - it has 18" wheels whereas my Accord's were 16 I think. I drive about 58 miles a day to and from work and love the comfort, options, audio system, heated/cooled seats etc. etc. I really could do without the push button start - it seems a bit gimmicky to me but it is not a deal killer. Mileage has been 25 or so per gallon and when I drive aggressively I can tell at the pump. I had a little Honda Civic looking car that was totally modified to the gills blow my doors off at one point off the line and was surprised. When you put this car in the "Sport" mode it is tough to beat but you can tell it is heavy and that makes the 290 horse engine work a bit harder at times. Overall I am very happy with the purchase so far and would recommend this car to friends.

I replaced a 2004 Nissan Maxima SE with the new Maxima 2011 SV. I opted not to get the technology package as I have everything they are trying to offer with it in my iPhone. The car is very tight and handles well. At 290 horse power I feel the car could accelerate faster but it still does a good job. There is more than enough room in the back seats for adults. The suspension is a lot stiffer than I expected, but I suspect it is because it is new and I replaced an 7 year old vehicle. The CVT Transmission is pretty sweet and very smooth. I tried the manual shifting and the car will really take off using that, but I suspect I really will not use it unless I am alone and just having a little bit of fun. It is not a race car but will hold its own. The end result is this is a solid car and will fit very well for the purpose I bought it.

I have researched and test drove the competiton before leasing the Maxima. The closest competitor is the Acura TL. But I like the styling of the Maxima better. The Maxima also has a slightly more powerful engine. I found the Maxima to be more fun to drive and the lease price was around 100 bucks cheaper a month. Car handles great and some of the technology is superior to evern higher end cars like BMW 5 series and Mercedes E-class. The Maxima engine is also more powerful than the aforemetioned entry models ( BMW 528 and Mercedes E 350). The Maxima is similar to the much more expensive Infiniti M . Buy the Maxima or Lease it like me. You wont regret it.

Outstanding highway mileage...between 27 and 29 MPG. Depends if the highway is hilly or even. City mileage is around 20-22. Love it...however the interior extra storage space is not enough. for me personally. The auto entry/exit system is very "kool"...as is the dual pane sunroof. Definite recommend to anyone - they are pricy!

this is my 2nd Maxima, I've had one since 2009 when the body style changed.. I love this car. I rent several different cars about 15-20 times a year and I LOVE the Maxima. if you want a luxury, style and a great ride by a maxima. I drove a Lexas and a CTS and both were an overall disappointment compared to the Maxima. Nissan really give u more for the money!! If u want to waste money and looking just for a look then buy a CTS

Since 1990 I have driven Lincolns. A Mark VII A Mark VIII And a Continental. I truly loved my Lincolns, but the new styling looses me. I shopped for 6 months looking at Lincolns Lexus Acura Cadillac and BMW. Shopping close to the same price point, Maxima was the best value. Before buying, I rented and drove a Maxima for a week. Logged about 1500 miles, loved the car. This car has a great interior with the upgraded leather. Good visibility, a very quiet interior at road speed. The performance is all you want. The transmission is so smooth and with paddle shifters, you can put the car through the paces. Mileage is acceptable for a performance car. Only drawback is the trunk size.
