No vice in Versa!
This car so far has fulfilled all expectations. It is a great value for the money! I'm very happy with it!

Poorly designed dashboard
The cheap tin surrounds on the gauges cast a shadow during the day, making it hard to read the dials, especially on the speedometer. I'm told by in=house mechanics that, to attempt to modify the design and'or get rid of the surrounds might hamper/destroy the functioning of the gauges. To remove the surrounds, will also, I'm told, "leave the display panel without protection." I've informed the dealer and Niisan Co. about this situation, but, to date, have not gotten any resonse from them.

Versa 1.6 SL New
Just purchased a 2012 Versa 1.6 SL with the optional navigation package. This model has a clean and smooth ride to it. The navigation unit is touch screen and easy to use. You can also manipulate the navigation screen while the vehicle is in use and being driven. Normally some navis "ghost out" or are not capable of being used while the car is moving. This car has 109 HP and uses a CVT (continuously variable transmission). It has an 11 gallon tank and gets a little over 30mpg city use. The car is efficient and can move in and out of traffic smoothly without hesitation. The biggest difference about this model (1.6 SL) is that it comes with fog lights, chrome door handles (inside and out), 4 speakers (speaker system sounds very good for stock) and alloy rims. Those few items make the car look and feel like a full sized mid class sedan. It really makes a huge difference. I would highly recommend buying the 1.6 SL model over the other two models as the small add-ons are well worth the additional money. This car is ideal for any looking for a small to mid size sedan that has a very comfortable ride.

Excellent especially for the price
Was looking at Cruze and Focus but then had a 2011 Versa for a 5 week rental that included long drives. Rental MPG was 35+ overall and interior room was sufficient for 3 big guys. Back seat leg and head room was very good. Took a look at the 2012 with 1.6 turbo and bought that day. 70 to 75 mpg w/o AC is 40 mpg of better. With AC it drops to 38 to 40 mpg. Bought to commute to work buy my wife took it for a drive and took it over...

My New Car
Im a college student and I really neeed a reliable car to get back and forth to work, that wouldnt hurt my pockets. I went in the dealership for an 07 Honda Accord and with 126,000 miles they wanted $13,456, when my mom saw the versa next to it we test drove it and i fell in love. Its excellent on Gas, and good on turns. The only down falls is the pick up and theres a slight blide spot on the drivers side.

Liars !!!
I bought this car because the dealer had a sticker stating 38 MPG but GM says 42 MPG. I have tested it on the New York State Thruway 3 times over 300 miles each time and it shows 28.9 Miles per Gallon Highway. I chose this car, agreed to pay that money and compromised the size and engine power only for the Gas Miles and was Conned. My old 2001 Chrysler Concord, larger and stable luxury with 350 Liter engine gave me 27 MPG, my 1998 Mercedes E320 gave me 26.5 MPG and my daughter's 2009 Nissan Sentra with 2.0 liter engine gave me 31 MPG. I feel very Cheated. I do not recommend this car to any one becuase for that money, there is a lot more car out there than this tiny little tin can
