I can't tell you how satisfied I am with this purchase. I, frustrated with the rising prices of fuel, knew it was time to get rid of my Nissan Frontier. We went into a dealership, not sure if the Prius or Camry would "win the prize". We test drove the Camry first, and were impressed with everything the car had to offer. Smooth, roomy (i'm 5'9" and my knees don't touch the front seats if I am in the back), "tech-ful" of options, and so on. Then we got in the Prius and immediately knew this was not the car for us. Although the Prius had the better gas mileage (and surprisingly more cargo room (Camry Hybrid does have a smaller trunk due to the electric battery)... it was not nearly as smooth and luxorious as the Camry. Long story condensed - we drove off the lot in a 2007 Camry Hybrid. Every option purchased... and let me tell you - i am still finding (one year later) things the car can do that I was not aware of at purchase. It is so much fun to play around with all the gadgets. Consumption controls show you exactly what you are expending (MPG or electric) at any given time. I would find myself re-learning how to drive so that I would stay on electric versus using gas. I even use these skills now when I drive our other vehicle (big ole gas guzzling Durango with the biggest freaking engine possibly available... 20-20 hindsight says should have gotten the 6 cylinder on that... LOL) In any event - I fill up about every 3 weeks - (down from every 9ish days in the truck) and on average I get just under 500 miles to the tank. We find we drive the car A LOT since it is so much more economical, and since my hubby works graveyard, and I days... he gets home I take it to work, then he takes it again. Durango has a nice cozy spot in the garage.. waiting for her chance to be driven... but at $4.25 a gallon... her time is better occupied right where she is, in that garage! :) We have already determined from this point forward we will only buy Hybrids... Awesome Awesome Purchase - I can not recommend it enough!

The brochure says 33/34 mpg. Right from the dealer I was getting 37-38 in mixed driving. As the weeks went on, the mileage when up to 45 mpg. This a a very comfortable well optioned vehicle. It has lots of interior room, but is a little short on trunk space. We do not use the vehicle as a daily driver, and as a consequence, experienced dead battery issues. Dealer says to make sure that the conventional battery is completely charged, as it is a smaller battery than in most vehicles and that the charging system output is also lower than in standard vehicles. We purchased a battery tender to keep it topped off. Otherwise, great car with great features.

I love this car.... Gas prices caused me to trade in my Volvo C70 convertible that used premium gas for my new Camry and it was a wise move. I love the fact that I continually get 38 - 40 mpg. I have had it for about 2 months now and have 3600 miles on it. I considered the Prius, the Civic Hybrid and the Camry Hybrid. I really wanted a Prius, but I am short and if you are vertically challenged like I am, the second requirement for a car, after wheels, is electric seats. I couldn't see out of the Prius - the Civic is good, but I just felt that Toyota had the Hybrids perfected more than the Civics. When I test drove the Camry and could raise the seat up as high as I could, and saw how it handled, I was sold. We would like to trade in our SUV on a Prius, but not until they come with electric seats. Come on Toyota - if you can put a GPS and Back up camera in, you can surely include a necessity like electric seats! My favorite features on the CAMRY besides the MPG are the SMART key system, the Bluetooth capability for my phone and the moonroof. ( helps to make up for giving up my convertible.) Ihaven't driven it out of the area yet, so I am not sure what it would get on a long trip, and haven't really used the GPS either.

I have owned a Camry Hybrid for almost 3 years now and I have never been this pleased with a car this far down the road! The car performs better than when originally bought, mileage actually has improved and she runs like a Swiss watch every day. While my new car warranty has just run out, I have not really used it! The fit and finish is excellent and while some reviews have criticized the design for some minor shortcomings, it is by far the best constructed vehicle I have ever owned (I've had a few in my 50+ years of life!) Looking forward to many more happy years behind the wheel.

Purchased 9 mos. ago. Did a lot of test drives on other makes and models. Read all I could on best resale, safety, gas MPG.information and reviews. Purchased this car because of good history, good resale value and MPG. At 71 years of age I hoped this car would do well over the coming years and gas prices again going sky high. So far I am pleased with this car and the dealership. No recalls YET. I am very upset over the information about Toyota now coming out. I still like this car, good gas MPG around town. Better in warmer times then winter. I do wish it had a better interior. Great car but a little on the expensive side for what you get in return. Hope resale value or trade value does not drop.

i like this car very mach . I recommend any one to bay it toyota camry. They are hard to find on the market right now. A brand new 2012 model, with all the features would have set me back more than $36,000. So I "settled" for a Toyota Camry Hybrid, fully loaded with all the bells and whistles available on the 2009. I was promised 33 mpg......... I am not dissappointed. I have filled up six times thus far, and have been avaraging 39 mpg.( combined city and highway driving.) I got a bargain for $18,332 with 50K on the odometer ." I would recommend this vehicle to a friend: Yes This vehicle was purchased: Used Primary use for this car: Work

I am in the automotive industry and after doing my own due diligence we purchased a preowned 09 Toyota Camry Hybrid for my wife to drive around my two little girls not just because it got 35 miles to the gallon, or because it has the strongest hybrid battery system/ charging system on the market, but it is a very safe vehicle as every passenger is surrounded by air bags. And they are the best air bags available says the consumer reports studies. And safety os of utmost importance to me! The Camry Hybrid is very classy and it rides as good if not better than any German engineered car I have ever driven! And lastly, it is NOT OVERPRICED like every other hybrid including the other Toyotas. So if I may I suggest that if you are in need of a new or pre owned car and you want reliability, great gas mileage, great looks, great value, & safety check out the Camry Hybrid. As far as hybrids go you will not find anything that even compares.

So far this car has been the perfect mix of value and dare I say--luxury--? I started to get the Prius--and of course it does get better gas mileage, but this has more toys...I got it fully loaded with leather, Bluetooth, and navigation. The screen can, if you choose, display in real time, what you're doing (right or wrong) in terms of your driving, to maximize your precious tank of gas. And it's just a lot of fun to drive. My previous vehicles were a Mercedes and a Volvo, so I didn't know what to expect, but I've been really, really happy so far!

The Camry hybrid is, in my opinion, the epitome of reliability, styling, fuel economy, space, comfort, and affordability. Seriously, consider reliability: it is a Toyota! Enough said. Consider styling: the one I owned was the first body style, and was in my opinion, the best. When that Camry came out I thought it was the hottest family car on the road. The hybrid model came stock with alloy wheels and l.e.d. taillights. I was always impressed with the gorgeous styling. Consider fuel economy: 37 mpg was what I averaged overall in the two plus years i owned one Consider space: the Camry is not your Prius. It actually has leg room for a tall driver, seats five, and it has a large trunk! Consider comfort: the one I owned was not the leather, sunroof, gps package, but the cloth seats were very comfortable, the power windows and driver seat were nice, the cruise control, audio controls, and temperature controls all on the steering wheel were nice. The dual temperature controls for driver and passenger was a favorite of my wife's! Overall the styling and amenities of the car's interior were above par. Last, consider affordability. Sure, there are Lexus hybrids out there, and there are other luxury car makers building hybrids, but Toyota knocked it out of the park with the Camry hybrid's combination of awesomeness for the price. Granted, i didn't buy one new myself, but i bought a two year old model with low miles from a dealer and was never disappointed in the value for the money. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend anyone that is considering the Camry hybrid to stop reading reviews and go out and buy one!
