I purchased a 2006 Toyota Camry Solara SLE V6 back in April. After seven months of ownership, I have had not one regret purchasing this vehicle. I have not brought the car back to the dealership for any warranty work so far; the car is well built, all gaps are tight and seamless. The car is very roomy on the interior. The rear seats, which always suffer in sports car, have plenty of room for rear passengers. Entry and exit from the rear can be tricky for those over 6 feet tall. All controls are logically placed. My only gripe is there is no storage area to hold loose change (the first generation Solaras had this feature). Power is plentiful from the 3.3 liter engine. My car came with traction control, and it does regulate power from the engine to the wheels. The ride is more responsive with traction control off, but unfortunately the car always activiates traction control when the vehicle is started (I have to remember to turn it off each time). Overall, this is a great vehicle for those who want sporty styling without sacraficing interior comfort.

My Toyota Solara Convertible is great car for Florida fun. Carries 4 adults in comfort, gets good gas mileage, and looks great.

I bought this car for my son. It is used, with 65k miles. The previous owner took excellent care of it and kept it very clean. We are very happy with the purchase experience via cars.com. I purchased my 2006 Solara Convertible in February 2011. It is white with a black top. I use it for fun, commuting, and anything else that requires me to drive. Prior to this purchase, I had a 2002 Solara Coupe that I purchased new in June 2002 and sold in January 2011. I am no stranger to the Toyota Solara. I love my convertible. So far, it is very reliable. I expect nothing less from Toyota. In my lifetime, I have owned 3 Toyotas and this is the 1st that I bought used. That's how reliable and trouble free these cars are to me. I have reached 200,000 miles on my first 2 without any problems. So far, this car deserves 5 stars in each category. To be honest with my experience, I rated performance slightly lower for 2 reasons. 1) The soft top makes it easier to hear outside noise. It sounds like a window is down. THIS IS ONLY NOTICABLE WHEN DRIVING WITHOUT ANY MUSIC OR TALKING. Don't let this deter you from a purchase. If you listen to music (of course, normal level not teenage level), you will not notice any difference in cabin noise than riding in a hardtop Solara coupe or other Toyota car. 2) The ride seems to be a little more shaky than the coupe. Bumps in the road seem to rattle/shimmer the car more in the convertible than in my coupe. Honestly, I notice it but I don't care. I love this car more than my other 2 cars. On a side note, I changed my tires 2 weeks after purchasing the car and I believe that has an impact to my ride experience. I remember some shake with the original tires but I didn't have those tires on long enough to remember. For me, I am so happy with this purchase. If something happened to this car, I would search the entire USA for another one. By the way, there were only 12 available in white within 500 miles when I made my purchase. There were 52 available in all color combinations within my 500 mile radius. That should let you know that people hold on to the Solara! Good luck with your search! You won't regret this car!

I have probably owned over 30 cars (no, I'm not a dealer just a car junky), and though I'm typically not a fan of Toyota, this car has been a great car. Its comfortable, has smooth acceleration with good power, well executed interior and gets good gas mileage for a V6. Again, though this was not my typical type of car (Mercedes / Volvo/SUV/Truck/Sports Car) it has been a pleasure to own.

I've had my new 2006 Solara since the end of March, and am approaching 5,000 miles now. The vehicle is simply fantastic! From the eye-catching 'Arctic Frost Pearl' exterior paint, to its finely appointed interior, it's hard to find a single fault with this car. The A/C system is the best, and the JBL Premium Sound System that comes with the SLE makes the interior seem like a rolling living room. And for a 'big car' (around 4500 lbs.) the gas mileage is UNBELIEVABLE! When it was new, I drove it to Chicago and back from Detroit and AVERAGED 31/gal there, and 32/gal coming home! Nowadays, I average OVER 27 miles per gallon combined city/highway. Add a huge trunk, beautifully operational moon roof, and impecable fit & finish, and I don't think you can find a better car for the money. Oh, and by the way, it was designed, engineered, and built right here in the United States!! And yes, it's ALSO a head-turner! This car looks like a Lexus!!

Bought a Black, one owner, certified 06 Solara SLE Convertible with 31000 miles on it. Room for 4 adults, excellent trunk space with top down (unlike the hardtop of Chrysler & Volvo) and Toyota reliablity. Driven it about 4000 miles since June 2011. No problems, no worries, great ride.

I am a true car lover. After looking at these cars on the road for the past five years, I found exactly what I wanted in June of 2010 with 54,000 miles. It is just like new in every detail and after driving it the past ten days on a 1,700 mile vacation trip, I love it even more. This car performs well no matter where you drive it, and I averaged a true 27.3 miles per gallon on this trip - what a deal. I bought the RED with BEIGE TOP and sand interior - absolutely beautiful and we get a lot of compliments everywhere we go. I suggest that Toyota consider bringing this one back on the market with very few changes - PLEASE!

This car is pretty to look at and its quiet and comfortable to ride in even with the top down. It has ample interior room for four adults and more than adequate trunk space. The model's discontinued and owners tend to hang on to them so I was lucky to find a low mileage example. The car has been a hit with everyone who's been in it. I can't think of any complaints. I've had it a couple of months now and it "just works".
