2019 Volkswagen Passat consumer reviews

I like the Passat all around, but I find that I miss my RL. The Wolfsburg is nice ,but after driving the RL, I am missing the features and the look of the car. The WB's a little basic. It does react quick and handles nice, but I am not in love, yet!

I own the new 2019 Passat Wolfsburg Edition: In my opinion, it is a very "Cabin noisy" car. As an Engineer, I used a new Mestek SL 620 Sound Level Meter with new batteries. Milage on the car: 2,500 miles; Tire press. mfg suggested; Cabin noise readings, all windows closed, two people in the car: speeds, from 40 MPH to 70 MPH; various smooth tar/concrete road surfaces; dB readings ranged from the high 60 dB's to very high 70 dBs. For the price: maybe an OK daily driver car.

I have been driving various SUV’s for many years and I hesitated to go with a sedan this time. My last SUV was a 2016 Chevy Equinox and it was the WORST SUV I have ever driven ! Very noisy, power steering was nonexistent (felt like I was driving a truck),etc. One day I saw a Passat on the road and I loved the body style. Having owned VW’s in the past, and I had been happy with them, I decided to take a look at the Passat. It didn’t take much more than a test drive to win me over. I love everything about my Passat..... the smooth, luxurious ride, the way the car “hugs” the road, the responsiveness, true power steering, even the beautiful sound of the radio..... absolutely the entire package ! And I can even put the rear seats down to have my own mini SUV ! LOVE IT ! 😍

Being a 6'4 it is hard to find a car where my kids can sit in the back while I'm driving. The Passat is perfect for that. Also the gas mileage is outstanding.

This car meets my needs for reliability. The styling, interior room and quality is excellent. Excellent gas mileage, comfortable, easy to maneuver in and it has a glass sun roof. I love my Passat. Classy car...

Purchased the R-Line edition and eally like the styling, but that is where it ends. Three days after purchasing the remote start stopped working. There is a software flaw where the remote timer doesn't reset after starting the car, so once you've reach a "overall total" of twenty minutes the remote start never works again. Autonation said it is Volkswagen's problem and VW Customer Care said its my problem. Buy something else,, and steer clear of VW. What good is a 7 year warranty, if they are selling cars that can't be fixed?

I like it, but I wish it had 19 inch wheels. I notice the difference between ‘this car and my 2017 R with bigger wheels.

Best interior volume for Uber. Four cylinder turbo has a lot of punch. Wolfsburg Edition adds class and extra equipment to please most buyers. I am lucky to have this Passat.

This car has great performance. Great interior and exterior style, great safety features, an amazing warranty of 6 year 72,000 miles and is by far the best gas mileage I've gotten in a vehicle.
