I took my truck in for first oil change. Supposedly I got a full multi-point inspection. When I drove off the dealer the sound coming from the muffler was different than when I took it in. I immediately found a parking lot and pulled in to it. After checking the muffler and not finding anything I open the engine hood. I immediately saw that whoever took the air filter assembly apart to check the filter could not put it back together. It was totally not right. I put it back together as it properly goes. If something so simple was not done right I wonder what happens when one needs major service done. It’s kind of hard for me to recommend service here after such a minor thing was messed up!!

I have the advanced package and this car is a great intro to the Acura brand, even being a used car. The seats are comfortable, so no matter how bipolar Texas weather can be, I can heat or cool my seats. Great leg room in the front and back, and the backseat is great for passengers. I actually really enjoy the back when someone else is driving. ALSO, the Dolby Pro-Logic sound system is AMAZING! Great mileage, even though you need to buy supreme gas, but I only fill up about once a week/week and a half. It’s a huge upgrade from my last car, and I’m definirely considering an Acura for my next car. I plan to keep this as long as possible.
Just replacing the battery under warranty . Every thing went smoothly and very fast without any problem. I am very happy that there was not any charge on the replacement battery

I absolutely love driving this vehicle!
It’s acceleration is strong, the exhaust is tuned to a perfect sound, the interior styling is beautiful AND comfortable, the cabin is quiet and road noise is almost non existent, the sound system is powerful, and overall reliable.
Alex was amazing he got us into a truck that we never thought we would ever be able to get. Alex went the extra mile for us. He is very good at what he does and he's in it for you not a sale. We definitely will be returning and recommending him to anyone that is in the market for a new car.

The car matches the title (in that order). Extremely reliable in every sense of the word. At the end of the day it's a Honda. The 3.5L V-6 has been around forever, and for a reason. It just goes and goes. The interior is classy and understated. The interior has quality materials that are made to last. There is leather, wood, or aluminum everywhere. Creature comforts like climate control, bluetooth, and seat warmers are available. For a four door sedan, it is relatively fun to drive. Neutral to understeer is the tendency, so in a way it evokes confidence. The engine has VTEC which helps increase the fun in the higher end of the rev range. Sport mode and paddle shifters also help make this feel sporty. Ultimately, it's comfortable and reliable way to get around without breaking the bank.
We had a wonderful experience working with Mike at Houston Direct Auto! He and Carlos were extremely helpful in the whole process! I would recommend anyone looking for a new vehicle use these guys! Also, Mike is a credit wizard, we were told "no" so many times before but he took the time to help us!

I have enjoyed owning this car. It gives you the best of both worlds. Luxury and sports car all in one package. I wish the seats were real leather. I am experiencing some peeling. I also hate Acura stop making this style ( TL) , I’m not a fan of the TLX. However, it’s a great midsized car to own.
Rees was my greeter and was an excellent source of information and sales expediter. Rees explained the CarMax process and then Listened to the car features I required. He did searches of car max inventory, searches of manufacturers’ sites for additional info, and requested transfer of a vehicle from another location. There was no pressure to buy (CarMax has a five day return policy). Paperwork was efficient, and I even got help getting both the car I bought and the car I arrived in home. It was my first solo car buying experience so I especially appreciated that I got a car that suited me at a fair price and no hassle

I owned this car for 5 years. I drove it over 80,000 miles in 5 years and I never had any breakdowns or service problems. The Bluetooth and USB connections worked perfectly and the GPS was accurate when the database was kept current. The car was very comfortable and we took it on many long drives.
I worked with Jan from Carvana- she was able to explain to me the process, make sure I was comfortable with where it was at, was able to be reached and kept communication open. The pick up process went smoothly and I was able to sell my car without any glitches.

This car is very good and in excellent condition, I am using it for my Work / Family purpose. This car is well maintained / regular service.There are no accidents and major repairs for this vehicle.
Great, but dealer should try to let customer know short term future repairs ahead of time. For example, may need new breaks in 6 months.

Generally solid running car but problems began to occur after ~40k up through 90k miles when sold so hope this review helps potential buyers or current owners. This is not why you buy a Honda! The repair issues were main reason for the sale. Torque converter failed (thankfully under warranty), alternator failed, lower AC hose developed leak @ 70k miles and had to be replaced (when it did, the hose on national back order so seems common), hand free module constantly drained battery resulting in numerous jumps and lots of charging system warnings (common issue, must replace module to cure or disconnect), front strut(s) failed and replaced at 85k, look up propeller shaft bearing issue on the AWD models ($1500 replacement)...oh and car began to burn oil at about 70k miles (threads say this isn't too abnormal or concerning but 1.5-2 quarts b/w oil changes seems like a lot to me). Other gripes - front seats support starting to get a little mushy and could feel some springs in seat. Also, the transmission always had a really slow start/hesitation in 1st (dealer acknowledges, said normal)... just made the car seem slower than similar cars and made it harder to justify the premium fuel (which this engine needs or it will knock). This engine/transmission set up with HP/Torque really only seemed to be in sync above 3500 rpm. At 3500+ rpm this car screams for more and can be really fun. Radio / tunes probably the thing I'll miss the most. Happy motoring. hope this helps.

This car fulfilled all my needs for a daily driver! Commuting, vacation,golf, etc... Would recommend to anyone. Enough room if your tall or small. Kids had plenty of room in the back seats as well. Hold good value & easy to maintain!

This is my first luxury brand car and it is leap and bounds above the other cars I have had. The seats are comfortable, good acceleration and power, large trunk and back seat. The only issues I have had are weatherstripping on the windshield falling off, the leather on the side of the drivers seat starting to wear and the plastic behind the door handle falling off. I do wish it had back up sensors or a camera.

Jeff Wiemann at Carmax Cy Fair. 15 minutes into our visit she realized Jeff had been her salesman back in 2013 when she purchased her 'first' car! He's a great salesman- I have always given 5 star reviews to carmax- but Jeff deserves a huge 5 star review too!

I have driven Acura TL's since 1999. I love them so much, I don't want to drive any other car!! I do not like that they combined the TL and TSX to make the TLX in 2015. I'll find another one this body style if I ever need another car!

A great car to own. Very reliable, nice interior, well built and HP wil take you anywhere.
I put more than 25K miles per year In this car and it only asked for regular mantiene and service. I loved this car. MPG was fine base on the V6 280 HP it has. It’s handle nicely and it felt well made and solid drive.
I would not hesitate tonbuy another one!
They worked hard to make things happen. They never settled even when the deal got tough. They found out ways to make it happen and they truly cared which meant a lot. Great team effort from the salesman all the way up to the sales manager etc. great team great people awesome company.

After getting rid of my Buick enclave because of endless problems,needed something more reliable. They had exactly what I was looking for and more options on the lot within price range. They have good quality cars, nice laid back salesman. Worked with me and held the car. Had a 360 point inspection by mechanic and came back no problems which was good to hear. Y'all give them a chance before going anywhere else.

This car is great! Love the color and the light interior - stays cool in the summer. It drives well with the V6 engine and is great for city and highway driving. It's got plenty of leg room and trunk space for carpooling and family trips.
Process was easy and convenient with friendly no pressure salesman.

This car was a great daily driver. I drive a lot and was comfortable and safe the entire time. Myself, and passengers, were always comfortable on long road trips. This also had amazing technology features, and was an overall fun car to drive!
