Excellent buying experience

Let me begin by saying that our salesman, Ervin Williamson, was the best. He knew his product, was informative, and went out of his way to find us the exact MDX model we wanted (interior and exterior color and options). Although we had done our homework in researching the MDX and competitive vehicles, Ervin was able to answer all of our questions and pointed out additional features we were unaware of. We also appreciated Ervin not being a high pressure salesman and we felt we negotiated a fair price for the MDX and our trade in. Our only issue with the purchase process had to do with the financing closeout and the reason for four rather than five stars. We had absolutely no problem with financing approval as we have an excellent credit. We feel that the finance manager we dealt with, misrepresented a car care option that we understood covered items not in the contract and that the contract could be cancelled after the sale. After returning home and reading the contract more thoroughly we discovered that the contract did not cover some of the things we were led to believe it covered and that the contract could not be canceled. When I immediately brought this to the finance manager's attention he informed me that there was nothing he could do. I then wrote a letter to the owner explaining the situation and was told that a refund of the charge would be applied to my account. I followed up with finance manager and was informed that everything would be taken care of. After several weeks of not seeing a credit to our account I followed up with the new finance manager, Michael Burgess, who immediately looked into the matter, and our account was credited with the correct amount. I only mention this as I feel my problem was with an individual employee and not with the dealership. We are completely satisfied with the vehicle, our salesman, and the new finance manager. Since we have not experienced any problems with the vehicle or required any maintenance I cannot comment on the service department other than we met the service manager who seemed to be very nice and have received several e-mails with service discount coupons.
