Like died and went to heaven
I never owned a BMW until about 5 years ago. I started with an E36 M3. It got old and I needed something newer. The 135i is a car of my dreams. Interior & exterior design great! Comfort features I never could have imagined. And it goes like a rocket.

Nicest overall car Ive ever owned
From comfort to speed, style and everything in-between this car has it. Super fun to drive and the interior is luxurious to say the least. The 3.0l single twin scroll turbo motor puts down plenty of power this car goes.

Most enjoyable car to drive I have ever owned.
Just like BMW advertises, this car is designed for the driving enthusiast. I enjoy every moment behind the wheel. It is very fast yet reasonably economical. It is an excellent compromise between a family car and a sports car.

Power, Comfort, Excitement!!! And yes, FUN!!!!
After owning 7 BMW's, I thought I wanted a Z4. Drove it, not for me. Then I found an '08 135i Convertible with 47K miles. Pristine, 1 owner, garage kept with all the records. How lucky can a BMW Guy get. This was the best kept secret in the line-up. Why(?), who knows. Power, Comfort, Excitement. It's got it all. They're getting hard to find as I searched the nation, but was lucky enough to find one in my backyard. Give it a drive, you'll be amazed. Then you'll want the "1".

Amazing Luxury Sports Car!
This car is a very nice luxury sports car, with great kick to it as it has an oem twin scroll turbo, and with it being manual the feel of the drive is much more fun!

Great Car, maint. Costs a little pricey
I have an ‘09 135i AT and love the car. Test drove a N55 (2011 135i) and Porsche Cayman back to back and preferred the power delivery of the 135i, granted it was a base Cayman. Nonetheless, the Porsche was more expensive so I ended up buying a N54 135i a couple of months later. I did really enjoy the N55, but 14,800$ for a 35K mile car seemed (at the time) like a better deal. I bought the car at carmax and bought an extended warranty (which has already paid for itself and then some), had I not gotten the warranty my view of this car may be completely different bc some of the xxxxxxI’ve had by now would’ve totaled thousands of dollars. Transmission problem cost abt 2500 to fix (covered by warranty), stereo screen monitor 700$, windshield wiper fluid reservoir 400$, vanos sallinoid (sp?) 400$...Tires are 1000$ a year it . I think I’m leaving out one or two fixes that came up...thankfully the warranty covered most of the repairs. Other than that, the car is a blast to drive, steering feel is great! Power is awesome, engine sound is so smooth yet strong at the same time, handles the twisty roads effortlessly, I personally love the stout stubby , bulldog look of it. Im6.3, 240 and I fit great in the car, so it’s comfortable (the Cayman was very tight interior space wise)...for an 11 year old car the car is well built (have the slightest of rattle on the dash which is hard plastic), doesn’t always rattle but on bumpy roads I sometimes notice it and it’s annoying. All in all, I bought this as a second car for fun, and it has been fun. But had I not gotten the warranty, I think I’d be pissed! So I can understand the gripe in some of these reviews! Also, I considered modifying and may still do so, but only after the warranty has run its course. In retrospect if I had to do it over, I might have gotten a Boxster , and definitely would’ve gone manual. But this is what I have and I’m still loving it! I had also considered the M235...but couldn’t justify paying 25-30k for a toy...near $15k and I prefer the looks and steering more. The sound system kinda sucks btw

N54 gen has been growing in community recently. If you hestitate of getting one i'd say dont be!! Go buy it. You wont be disappointed coz the facts that bmw community is so large, price isnt sky high, it has lots of tuning potential, great inexpensive aftermarket supports, and much more!! Winters WILL NOT stop you either with the right tires. Personally i'd say Nokian which im currently using is a perfect candidates. What more could you asked for such a car under 20k range? Now go have a blast with it!!!

Fast and fun
This is the most fun to drive car I?ve ever owned. BMW only made this model for a few years, then introduced the 2 series. The 135 has the same engine as the 2 but with less weight, so it really moves. I have worn out several sets of rear tires, due to its quick acceleration and RWD. No mechanical issues in 5 years of lots of miles!

The car is fine, the dealer was horrible
The car is just what I wanted, time will attest to its reliability but it's just like my former car which I really liked. Unfortunately, the dealer (HGreg Doral) lied about a 3 day money back guarantee, and I found the car had two tires worn through to the cords and a bent suspension component. Took about $2500 to make the car safe to drive. Shameful bunch of liars, do not buy from HGreg!

Breath-taking drive, fast, hangs in every curve
This car is incredible for a convertible. Like any BMW the drive is worth the money. This car is built for speed and hangs in curves like a dream. The exterior has great lines, looks sharp, and draws looks for sure. The interior is perfect if you are smaller. While it is a four seater it isn't really for adults in the back. though it does cradle you.

Best under 15k sporstcar.
These cars are like hidden secrets. The way they depreciate from new is high even by BMW standards so they make great used cars. 300 HP/300 Torque, check, with lower miles the costs aren't too high either so it's a win win.
