The 2024 BMW X1 is nimble and responsive. It has an excellent memory for self-driving the car to back out of tight parking spots along the path the driver used to get into it. The car feels spacious inside and is easy to get into. My observed hwy mileage is 36mpg @ 75mph and 22mpg in suburban driving. It’s defects are: 1) the driver must learn how to start from a stop to avoid a sluggish pick-up or a sudden forward jerk; 2) the owner’s manual does not include directions for setting up the electronics, so the owner must resort to a complex cryptic in-car system that is difficult to sort through; 3) the built-in navigation system's is hard to use; the owner will resort to Waze or Car Play; 4) the car is bumpy on rough surfaces, and vibrates like a massage unit on washboard.

Highs: 1. It feels and drives like a BMW: sure-footed, agile, responsive and tight. 2. Materials, fit/finish, and aesthetics are good. 3. Tech is great, I particularly like the heads-up display. 4. All this in a small, practical package with decent storage space in the back. Lows: 1. Run-flat tires are firm and make the ride rough. I replaced mine with standard tires which meant purchasing an aftermarket spare. 2. Standard front seats are too short for anyone over 6'. I purchased one with the sport seats. 3. Ingress/egress is a little tight. 4. Worst glove box ever made; small and designed so that things fall out when opened. Overall, this is a great car IF you're looking for the driving experience of a BMW in a small, efficient package. If you're looking for the cushy ride of a Buick, this may not be for you.

I purchased a 2009 Nissan Rogue on 10-11-12. It was an easy, actually fun experience. The sales man was not pushy, it was an easy process and everyone was very helpful. I love my new car. I would recomend carmax to anyone who wants a stress free car buying experience.

My only feedback, as someone who frequently purchases high-end vehicles (Range Rover, Aston Martin, Acura, etc.), is that the dealership can get very busy and you can tell the staff was overwhelm, I think some technology could help them because people would get lost in the waiting room like we did :). This is understandable, especially on a weekend and the last day of the month—partly my timing. Overall, I look forward to building a long-term relationship with this amazing team. After almost 10 years, I’m thrilled to have a BMW back in my garage. Highly recommended!

2020 X1 w/sport seats and convenience package, purchased in 2023. Positive notes: It's a true BMW: sure-footed, agile, and no shortage of power when needed. It feels remarkably glued to the road despite its small size. Handles as well as my former 3 series and is just as fun to drive. Storage space is good. Ergonomics are good once you figure out all the technology. Negatives: Ride is a bit bumpy, even for a sporty car, which is apparently caused by the run-flat tires. If I was buying new, I'd get standard tires and a real spare, which fits in the storage space in the back. Sensatec seats are hot. In retrospect, I'd hold out for leather. Overall, I recommend this car if you're looking for something small, practical, full-featured and sporty.

Went in to look for a used car. Salesman was not pushy. Found what I was looking for and immediately walked us out to the car and offered a demo ride. Also offered to get another one I was potentially looking at shipped to local dealer for my review. I did not purchase from them but based on my experience I will definitly go back in the future.

Reliable and high performance BMW x1 with excellent value for the money. It’s exactly the same as an x3, but smaller cargo space. Easily fits 2 rear passengers.

Went in to service my 2021 330i. They fixed my check engine light and purge valve quickly and gave me an awesome price. Dropped the car off in the morning and it was fixed by end of the day!

I thought I should have gotten a better price on the car but who doesn’t? Kahled was my salesman and I couldn’t have had a better person. He is a very caring person and does his best to make everything in the deal go right, for the business and the customer.

Service at the BMW dealership of North Haven always run smoothly. Provided with a car if service is lengthy. The service staff is courteous and friendly.

Great for a small/short person. Not comfortable for tall people. Love all the premium features. All leather interior, navigation, heated seats and steering wheel, memory seating. Electric adjustable passenger seat. Not a great sound system though.

I am a repeat customer of Dennis Smith. He worked tirelessly to ensure that my complex transaction was seamless (two trade-ins for a new vehicle). He ran point with all the stakeholders to get me into my new car with kettle effort on my part. He is knowledgeable, compassionate, and simply a pleasure to work with. Just picked-up the X1 on Mar 28th and had a great ride home from the dealership. Handles very well on the road with ample torque when needed. Hate the start/stop mechanics and the fact that you must deactivate each time. Hate the ConnectDrive thing—beware this is a sinister ploy to get more of your dollars and convert once standard car features into subscription services. It is evil. Love the interior. This is my third BMW, so I think this X1 interior is quite good for the money and I am astounded by the standard features list—Wow! And there’s a spare tire with tools in the trunk, WHAT!? I use a touch screen all day, so the tech is no stretch, as long as it works. We shall see, the OS is new. Dual clutch….hmmm, it has its advantages, but smooth take off ain’t one of ‘em. The seats are superb and the cabin very clean. Love the cargo space. This is a good vehicle for a certain group of buyers who want cargo and fun. This is a smart ICE choice, and I hope there will eventually be a U.S. bound iX1.
