STAR AUTO MALL: Worst car dealer EVER! I bought a 2017 BMW X3. They never checked the car! I had problems immediately! I called, emailed & texted... Star Auto Mall would NOT return my calls, texts or emails! I went to BMW dealer, and they found lots of issues! Wires hanging down, tires rubbing, etc. It cost me $480 to fix it! I billed Star Auto Mall, and it looks like they're just chucking me the finger!! AVOID these incompetent thieves! We love this car, we have a 2003 BMW 325 wagon, wife wanted something bigger that sat higher. We already had a truck, so X5 was too big but X3 was too small. Interior is great, I call it the luxo-barge. Seats are super comfortable, interior layout is (typical BMW) great, plenty of room, it's great for an 8+ hour drive or long days in the car (done both). The split hatch/trunklid is really handy, I don't know why some of the early reviewers didn't like it. It is taller, heavier than a sedan and has airbag springs in the rear and you notice that in the handling, but it it can still tell it's a BMW, so even with the extra weight and height, it still handles a lot better than non-BMW sedans. The N55 (six cylinder) has plenty of power (the car can get out of it's own way) and makes it fun to drive. The 8 cylinder would have been awesome but one in our price and mileage range wasn't available. The icing on the cake - people either like this car (some) or they hate it (more) so the resale on them isn't good. The one we got was a lease return, so it was regularly maintained and low mileage and we ended up with a $72,000 MSRP car for less than half that. Maintenance hasn't been bad, moonroof cover broke, got it covered under warranty and I'm about to replace a thermostat, water pump (proactive while I'm changing the thermostat) and parking brake module. If you've got older BMWs, you'll have to get new tools (lots of external Torx) and Bentley's doesn't publish manuals for them. Still pretty straightforward maintenance, but the parts are expensive, even through Pelican Parts. Oh, only bad thing is the run flat tires - we've been through two full sets in about 3 years. They handle like crap and the rears wear heavily on the inside, resulting in two tire failures while driving, luckily the car still handled well. The wear isn't obvious unless you specifically look on that inside rounded edge, not where you would normally expect to find heavy wear. I would recommend standard tires, a can of fix-a-flat and an air pump (wife wants the run flats in case she's alone or I would change to the standard tires).

I had a oil change and transmission check. The work was done quickly. The service lane assistant Alli Smith was very professional.All work was done well.

BEST CAR EVER, I BOUGTH IT ON 2018 WITH 44000 MILES. STILL RUNNING PERFECT WITH 180000 MILES. GREAT POWER ON COMFORT DRIVE. ON ECO DRIVE YOU LOSE A LOT OF POWER BUT YOU SAVE GAS. IT HAS A GREAT STABILITY ON HIGHWAY. THE MUSIC SOUND SYSTEM IS POWERFUL!!

Battery in our Fusion drops dead on a Saturday. Jump started and to Jerry?s on Sunday. Thinking it would be a few days before they could get to it, I get a call on Monday at 10 am that our car ir READY!! Now that?s service.

This car is simply beautiful, spacious, unique color. It is gorgeous inside out. You don't see too many BMWs this color so I think it is unique color. It has one of the smoothest ride, which I find a plus for long trips. Love it!

I had routine maintenance done on one of my vehicles while I was in the area. The service was performed correctly and completed in a timely manner.

Great for a small/short person. Not comfortable for tall people. Love all the premium features. All leather interior, navigation, heated seats and steering wheel, memory seating. Electric adjustable passenger seat. Not a great sound system though.

i bought my x6 xdrive 35i in july of 2023 with 40,000 miles for $32,000. i couldn't be happier. drives like a dream, is super comfortable, has very decent gas mileage, i love the looks and i've always done all my vehicle servicing and repairs since high school (i'm 69...so i've passed my learning curve), so repair and/or service costs aren't really a concern for me. the only complaint i have is the staggered size tires with no spare. as it's an all-wheel drive, and i bought it for its all-wheel drive ability, i obviously need "all-season" tires. the issue: the car came with run-flats WHICH ARE ONLY AVAILABLE IN SUMMER TIRES at these two different 20" sizes. also, when buying staggered size tires, they aren't possible to rotate which halves the tire warranty. 😖😖😖

My x drive diesel gives me 14.5 - 15km per liter which is exceptional and handles like a sports car. Run flats are hard but not an issue. There seems to be a issue with the engine mountings as both x2 cars I had and have, have had to have them replaced with the new design engine mountings. No major issues.

This was my first car and i definitely recommend. 1.It is super cute 2.it is small and easily maneuverable and fear of hitting something is low 3. it goes really fast so its easy to get up to right speed quickly. It brakes i would say are a little different at first but once you experiment you get the jist and they are actually very good. Overall I would recommend for the price and its an easy car to operate and goes fast.

My 2011 328i has just reached 223k miles. No timing chain replacement. Only oil changes and coolant flushes. Obviously break pads and rotors. It’s been amazing. Fun to drive although I get 22mpg average. As Long as you don’t touch it and don’t drive it like you stole it, you can count on it.

I have been driving BMW's for almost 40 years now and have put well over 500,000 miles on them over the years. I have owned 7 BMW's including a 1982 BMW 320i, a 1985 325e, a 1990 535i 5speed SPORT with BBS WHEELS, a 1998 735i, a 2000 740i SPORT (One of my FAVORITES), a 2008 750Li SPORT, and finally this 2012 BMW 750Li xDrive "INDIVIDUAL COMPOSITION" MODEL (Another one of my FAVORITES). This 2012 is a powerful Beast and yet you are surrounded by LUXURY and COMFORT. BMW's have a BAD REPUTATION for NOT BEING RELIABLE BUT I HAVE FOUND THEM TO BE VERY RELIABLE. NO CAR IS PERFECT BUT I WOULD SAY BMW's COME PRETTY CLOSE WHEN IT COMES TO MECHANICAL REPAIRS. Just perform your regular OIL AND FILTER CHANGES PLUS TUNE-UPS AND YOU ARE GOOD TO GO. I would also recommend purchasing a USED BMW, NOT NEW as they DEPRECIATE BADLY BUT are a VERY GOOD VALUE WHEN PURCHASED USED. I can purchase a used LOADED 7 SERIES like this 2012 with only 60K miles for $20,000 and drive it 100,000 more miles and still SELL IT for $6,000 to $8,000 Dollars. Tell me another loaded luxury car that you can drive 100,000 miles for just $12K to $14K? I LOVE BMW's!!!! THEY ARE GREAT CARS!!!!

From the beginning they were quick to respond to set up a time for me to look at and test drive the Subaru I was interested in. They were up front with all the costs and the cars history. Found this used BMW with all the bells and whistles at a reasonable price. It's very responsive at the throttle and feels like it grips the road. It's a sporty but comfortable ride.

I have bought two used Volvos from DarCars Volvo in Rockville, Maryland and had excellent service from them. If you want a Volvo, this is where you should go! We were treated as if we were buying a brand-new Volvo. This time my husband and I worked with a new sales associate, Bea-Alice Sesay. Bea is courteous, personable, and answered all our questions (or checked with other DarCars staff for us). She responded quickly to emails and made our experience pleasant. This is my first all-electric car. Bea and her colleague, Manny, showed me all the car's features and spent time helping me understand the electronics. From start to finish, it was a pleasant and positive experience.

This car has been a ton of fun to own. I searched far and wide to find a 128i couple in dark gray, with navigation. Patience paid off and I found the one I currently own several months later, and it has been an absolute showstopper. I am constantly getting compliments on this car, even though it is now seven years old. It is aging very gracefully and has not been hard to maintain. Highly recommend.

Have put about 12,000 miles on a used 94ah Rex over the past year. It's a unique little car to be sure, with some substantial upsides and downsides. First the good stuff: It's a fantastic city / mall / school drop off / tight quarters car. Very quick under 50 mph, turning radius of a bike, only a bit larger footprint than a Mini. Just a fun little car to zip around in. The interior fits 4 pretty comfortably, and it's a pretty open, airy feeling despite being so small. Not cramped at all. I really like the styling as well, and it's on the cheap end of cars we've owned over the past 15 years. It's been pretty reliable for the most part, but the Rex does not seem to like to sit for long periods without use. It threw codes several times during the first couple months, all of which cleared and did not immediately recur. I believe it sat at the dealer for many months prior to me purchasing it. After that initial spat of codes, it's worked flawlessly. Range is fine for around town, I would not attempt long distance travel, though you COULD do it. I have always charged it at home, with a level-2 charger I installed myself. Electricity is about 1/4-1/3 the cost of gas under this setup, so it's very efficient. Now the not so good: The rear tires burn up fast, are unique to the car (no other car uses the same tire size), are kind of expensive, and honestly, the traction isn't great. Plan on replacing tires every 12-15k miles, if you make it that far. It's particularly bad in the snow. There's no way to reduce the lift off regen, so it will drag its rear end. You end up left foot braking when it's really slick to make sure you engage the ABS. Do not plan on this being your snow car. The range also goes down significantly in the winter. It'll do >100 miles of around town driving in the summer months, but that's more like 60-70 when it gets cold. Has to run the heat pump, heat the battery, etc. It's only got 4 seats (2 in back). A tiny middle seat probably makes more sense, though it would only be for small children. The BMW connected app subscription is basically a requirement to connect to your utility and get credit for charging off peak (if it's available in your region). It's $120 a year, which is typical German luxury xx. The Odd: The exterior is...different. It sure does attract attention. I guess to each his or her own. Rear suicide doors work pretty well, but they come with a bit of a learning curve. At least people can get in back without front passengers having to get out or bend over. It has a scooter engine, and it sounds like it too! My take: It's a great 3rd car for a family that does a lot of pick up / drop off, grocery-getting, commuting, etc. in a relatively small radius (say 20 miles max, each way). Under that setup, it's very cheap to run, it's fun to drive, it fits everywhere, and it's a nice place to spend time. As the only household car, forget it. As the 2nd car in a 2-car household? Only if you don't spend a ton of time in freezing weather / snow. But in a household where it competes with an M2, an Odyssey and a Cayenne, I put more miles on the i3 than any of the other cars over the past year. So I clearly like the darn thing! Other Recommendation: Get bimmercode app and code on a function that allows you to manually start the Rex at any time the battery is under 75%. Waiting til it hits 6% to turn on automatically isn't going to run it often enough to keep it happy. You don't want to run the battery that empty very often either.

I love everything about this car except for the front lower bumper, I wasn’t a big fan of so I updated it with the M Sport series style, I also Installed aftermarket 20x10 TSW Watkins wheels wrapped w/ Lionhart 255-35z-r20 tires, Tinted Windows,BMW emblem carbon fiber exhaust tips with aftermarket Bora exhaust (Not Loud), Cold Air intake and Followed by a DINAN Performance Tune kit. Lots of other extras as well, like BMW Door projector lights, Aftermarket Speaker System etc…. In my opinion, I feel that I built a car into something that I always wanted. It’s Very Fast, Reliable, Has Style, Comfortable, and I didn’t have to break the bank while doing it….

This is a surprisingly fun car. We bought it mainly to not feel guilty running the AC in car line - but got to appreciate it in various situation. The range isn't great, the flimsy tires need getting used to - but for what a used (ideally certified pre-owned) one goes for - I really don't think you can go wrong. Unless you live in a city and have good places to charge - it probably is not a suitable car as your only car - but it's a great addition if you don't depend on it for a 300 mile drive. Accelerations is fun, the car is a lot bigger inside than it looks. It has a little bit of a theme park ride feel to it at times.

Generally people start out by saying they are expensive to maintain, just don't go to the dealership. In every City there is someone who specializes in BMW older models. 2500 miles is oil change time, not 5000 miles like dealership will tell you. I strongly believe the reason they tell you that is something will go wrong and you will be right back in there to fix a $3000 repair that normally would cost you $75 elsewhere, As this happened to me. At 100,000 miles, whether it needs it or not, REPLACE "VISA VALVE". This part sits on the side of the motor right at the oil stick. There's a light rattle sometimes when I start the car, then goes away. When it got bad enough, check engine light came on, it stopped in its tracks. It took my son one minute to take off 3 screws and replace. The part was $59.00 on Amazon! Dealership wanted $500 for the part and $300 to put it on. Car is good as new.
