These guys were SO good to me. The owner heard through a friend that I was without a car. I have a 7 year old nephew, that I'm raising, and was planning to use my tax returns to buy a cheap car. Steve, the owner of CBS Quality Cars in Durham, made the decision to GIVE me a 94' Honda Accord. Gave it to me, at no cost. He even paid for the tags. I am very pleased with the staff and workmanship. One complaint: someone rummaged through my dash, console, and hatch looking for the lugnut to use for the tires. I had strategically, for safety and security, placed two pairs of sunglasses in the dash and the garage door opener in the console to find that everything in these compartments were topsy turvey because someone rummaged through these compartments and made a big mess. Had someone called me, I would have gladly told them where to find the lugnut. Please be sure the manager is aware that someone is rummaging through the vehicles without authorization. The customer should be called first. Suppose it wasn't one in the vehicle? They did find mine and they had to look good for it for where it was - I truly don't appreciate knowing that someone went through all my belongings in my vehicle. And . . . . it was put back in the wrong spot. When I arrived home, I had to look for the garage door opener as it had fallen to the bottom of the console due to the mess someone had made. In these instances, please call the customer first. I know I would certainly appreciate it instead of someone making a mess of my belongings.

I drove the Buick Encore Essence 2017 with sun roof during a 10 day stay in Arizona for vacation. I originally rented a Nissan sedan but they were out so I took 'the blue SUV'. I was 5 miles north on route 17 when I noticed how quiet the ride was. Then a text came over the Android Auto, which I didn't realized I hooked up by connecting the USB cable to the charger. I found the interior to be very intuitive. The long ride from Phoenix to Sedona was very enjoyable the heated steering wheel and seats plus motorized drivers seat. The pick up climbing the mountain grades was easy as was passing trucks and cars. It doesn't have crazy horse power by any means by it performed fine. The keyless entry and start were great since I was always carrying backpack and gear, no fumbling for the keys. Then I drove back down to Phoenix for 5 days and it handled the off dirt roads to the trail head fine. I came home and 2 weeks later I traded in my loyal Subaru Impreza wagon that I had for 6 years. I enjoyed the Impreza but it has a CVT trans and I wanted to drive a traditions auto trans. The Encore has 25 MPG +/- and I'm ok with that. I purchased the AWD as I live in Massachusetts and NO... FWD with snow tires IS NOT the same thing. So test driving a car for 10 days informed my of how the car runs on average and when snow came in January the Encore handled great with the AWD. Four months owning my Buick Encore Essence now and very happy. It is small on the inside, about the same cubic storage dimensions as a Subaru Impreza Wagon but the off ground height is also what I wanted in my next car. It has great head room, leg room and the leather seats are ALL leather and stitched great, not pleather or 'leather trimmed'. Back seats can squeeze 3 adults but 2 adults for comfort, same beautiful leather seats in back. Soft touch materials, nice dash, nothing flashy but more classic and understated. I added OEM chrome side body molding and chrome wind deflector as well as custom rain guards. Now my car is my own. The aluminum painted grey wheels are awesome too. Very happy!

The first time I bought a car (not from CarMax) it was a terrible experience and I was stuck with a hunk of junk that was worth far less than what I owed. I've been burned by used car dealers. I also have a "boomer" uncle who sold used cars from the 70's - 90's. I counted the seconds before the bait-and-switch. I even abandoned a conversation with Andre b/c I did not get my question answered before he asked for my t-phone number. Still, I went in to check out the two trucks I wanted to investigate. Andre hooked me up with Sam Isaac. First, Sam listened - what I wanted and what I didn't. When I asked about 2 trucks and became interested in a 3rd, he brought back the third key and a cup of cold water. I appreciated the kindness. Second - he didn't hover. I took notes, crawled under the vehicle, compared internet notes and snapped pics of items of interest. He let me take my time and popped in / out as I did my homework. "What do I need to do to earn your business?" can be translated to 'where can I focus my sales skills to wear you down'. He really meant it. He brought over the finance guy who brought out several documents that were indicative of transparency. I had already downloaded some of these docs and they were the same. I began to relax because ...truth. The obligatory extended warranty discussion was held. And it was a discussion...he extolled benefits. I explained my rationale to refuse. He smiled and said, "It's my job to ask." And with a wink, he was gone. I had a 70% chance of returning the vehicle within the 5 days b/c I had a trick up my sleeve. I was going to the dealership and they were going to take 2 hours tearing into the truck and list all the problems that were be hidden. You would not BELIEVE what they found! Nothing. Nada. It was exactly what they said it was. I was so impressed that I went back to Sam and told him how much I appreciated my treatment, his honesty, and the transparency across the board. I gladly shared my story with Kevin Condon b/c as the manager, he needs to hear the good, the bad, and the WTH? I was met again with the same transparency and graciousness. Maybe I'm just a lucky SOB. Or maybe they are what they say they are. I think you should go in and find out for yourself. I'm already recommending them to my co-workers and friends.

My husband told me about Carvana from a commercial ad he heard/saw. I laughed about it and said 'yah right, there's gotta be a hitch somewhere'. A few weeks later, he brought up Carvana again....curious, I decided to check it out online. The key words there was 'check it out'. I ended up buying a vehicle a couple hours later. Yeup, it was just like that. No hassle, no hidden costs or agendas. So after reviewing everything on the site, I started looking at minivans....I started falling in love with minivans....I started buying minivans....all through carvana. Once I locked in the one I wanted, I went through the credit process, documentation process, and pick up date (I chose pick up - because at this point, I still felt a little 'leary' about the whole deal'. It was so simple, and so honest, and so real. Over the course of the next 24 hours, all my submitted documents were approved and we just had two days to go to pick up the new mininvan. When we got to the store, it's not like a dealership with a lot, but it had three beautiful, well lit, very clean, showroom like bays that your vehicle is sitting in for your to do a complete inspection of it. It was very classy. Please note, our particular location does not have the car vending machine just yet. After passing our over check, I hopped in the car and drove it 65 miles home. She ran like a charm and I knew I had 7 days to decide if I wanted to keep her not. At day 3, although I loved her, she didn't have all the bells and whistles I truly wanted so that evening, I was back on the Carvana site, shopping for a replacement minivan....it's so easy to do when it gives you results based on your financial settings....I found the new 'her' a few hours later. I ordered her up and made the quick call explaining I was swapping and chose to have the vehicle delivered instead of going there to save time. The whole swap process took 2 days...they pulled up right to my house with my next new minivan. In my eyes, she was perfect, but I found a flaw before she was even off the truck. There was a huge bolt in the back tire. I was so disappointed. But Carvana took care of that so amazingly over the top.....they still brought her off the truck so I can check out the interior, test drive it, etc. We found a few more things that we felt should be fixed...minor things. Carvana took note of the items, and took the vehicle back on the truck but promised me (because I really wanted her that day) they would bring her back with a new tire....they kept their promise, three hours later she was back with a brand new tire, not one, but TWO brand new back tires. And they put an extra Carvana cup in the car for me. They swapped the minivans and off the old one went and there I sat with the new one. Smile ear to ear. I worked with Carvana on 6 items that we believed needed repair before committing to keep the vehicle. Carvana went above and beyond. I got an estimate for the repairs at a local shop, Carvana approved it, and within a few weeks, all repairs were completed through Carvana and I have the perfect vehicle, no hassle, no hidden agendas. And every person I dealt with on the phone or in person were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, FRIENDLY, HELPFUL, AND JUST THE BEST!! My Carvana experience was the absolute best. I will never go back to buying a car the old 'car dealership' way. And ironically, we had bought our other vehicle from a dealership just 3 months before being introduced to Carvana. I will give one warning about buying a vehicle through Carvana this way....it can be addicting..lol :-) Yes, I still shop Carvana cars every now and then....I don't even need a car, I just love seeing what Carvana has because it was sooo simple :-) Thank you Carvana for a trememdously wonderful experience.

Buying a car is stressful even if you have a lot of experience. Historically, it has been time consuming, emotionally taxing and most of us go into a dealership with far less knowledge than we ought for a purchase of the magnitude of a car. Salespeople have (understandable) pressures to move inventory and even the most fair-minded is looking to get the highest price they can get away with. It is harrowing at best. With my experience with Carvana, all of these stresses were eliminated. I browsed inventory as widely or narrowly as I wanted, for as long as I needed. I could dictate pricing ranges that were suitable for me. The car I received was *exactly* the car I examined online, right down to some inconsequential bumper scuffs. Beyond this, and *absolutely unlike* any other online business, I could speak to a *real human being* within a few minutes of calling (I had six or seven conversations with Carvana agents over the 3 1/2 weeks from car selection to car receipt). They either had the answers at hand, or researched them and replied promptly with a follow up call. Delivery coordination and drop off (and test drive) were *painless no pressure* experiences???all preparatory contract paperwork was prepared in advance leaving only title transfer stuff to take care of. It took 45 minutes, tops. (I transacted entirely in cash, so I cannot speak to the process when there is financing.) Honestly, the biggest delay was on *my* end getting the insurance transferred (having to wait on hold with my insurance company for 15 minutes). The car was 100% was described???absolutely no surprises. The images on the web site for my car were not stock images. What I saw was what I got. Naturally, it was clean, filled up with a full tank, with new tires and the whole nine yards. Even got a ???free??? Carvana reusable coffee cup and key chain. Nice touch. The part that I found the most extraordinary was the 7-day money-back guarantee, which pretty much covers a change of mind unless you get into an accident or drive it a ton (over 400 miles, and even then, they???ll take it back after a modest per-mile-over-400 charge). All in all, I was dreading buying a car (and selling my used one) and Carvana made it pleasurable. I am absolutely recommending them to all of my friends and coworkers and I hope (as a relatively new company) they keep up the excellent work.

The seal on moonroof keeps coming off. The brakes squeaking and now the engine light came on today with a message that the engine needs to power down. It's in the dealership hopefully getting fixed. I love this car, but it's a year old with these issues, I'm not optimistic.

Yes, where do I start. Do I start with this being the best car buying experience I've ever had? That would be too obvious. But it would be the absolute honest truth. I think that everyone is so used to going to the dealership. Being there for 8 hours (you should get paid for being there you're there so long). Sales people trying to up-sell you on every little thing that you didn't ask for. Just an all around miserable experience. Then you go to carvana.com. You put in exactly what you're looking for. Exactly what you want to pay and presto you have a wonderful car. I believe it took me 45 minutes to do this entire transaction. From first going on the site and finding my 2016 Chervolet Equinox (maybe 15 minutes). To uploading my paperwork (5 minutes). To being approved (5 minutes). To having the car delivered, taking a test drive and signing the papers (20 minutes). It was the best transactions I've done since finding my husband. I've told everyone I know about this. We've watched videos of other people getting their cars. Too funny. Thank you Carvana for this wonderful experience. Can't wait to get my Husband a car now.

I could not believe how easy - and fast - buying a car could be. I decided a used car was for me, so I started looking online and at local dealerships. All I can say is that that experience was enough to put me off the whole process. Dealer add-ons. Limited or no warranty. ???What are you willing to pay???? Enough!!! I saw an ad online for Carvana, which I had never heard of, and thought ???what the heck.??? Such a great find! From the quick and easy search, to no haggle pricing, to easy payment (I was able to pay cash online, but they also offer financing), to a no-risk 7-day return policy AND an additional 100-day warranty on top of that! There was nothing to lose. It took only a few days for delivery - to my home! - and the paperwork was handled in about 5 minutes. They even had a notary show up! They handle the registration, too - no waiting in line at DMV. Bottom line: I love the car, I got it at a good price, and it could not have been easier. Actually, it???s scary how easy it was. I have to stop myself from looking more on he Carvana website, lol.

We bought a 2012 Honda CR-V LX with 16,671 miles recently. The entire experience was first rate: From searching online for the right vehicle (price, features, condition) to the buying experience and through delivery. Everything was accurate and straight forward. Our new car met all expectations when delivered: Clean. No apparent defects.The items listed as imperfections were barely perceptible. Our test drive before accepting the car was flawless. Our delivery person was friendly, professional and informative. After delivery, I took our new car to our long-time trusted mechanic for an in-depth inspection. He was impressed with all aspects of our new car. His only comments were associated with (1) light under-body rust and original equipment tires with few miles, plenty of tread, in good condition but six years old. All manuals, one full feature key, and one valet key were provided. (Two full feature keys would have been nice.) Documentation of Carvana's 150 point inspection was not provided. This, too, would have been a nice addition to complete the sale documentation. All-in-all, close to a perfect buying experience! So much so that I'm looking forward to purchasing another vehicle from Carvana in the near future.

I was drawn to the Buick Encore for it's smaller size for handling, but design with lots of room inside. The car has comfort and the turbo 4 cyl. gives it enough power and good gas mileage. I have had Buicks in the past and never been disappointed.

I called a LOT leading up to my delivery, One poor guy was on the phone with me for nearly an hour trying to deal with my bank (it was fully automated and difficult), but the entire time he remained happy and kept chatting with me as we got through the process, I felt important and extremely valued. I made my purchase on 5/19/2018. I am so happy with my vehicle! The website was super user friendly, I really liked the filters you can apply to give you all the options at the terms you want. I appreciated the fact that I could get my personalized financing terms without a hard hit on my credit, in the event I didn't go through with a purchase. The customer advocates on the phone and at the store were all really friendly. This was actually a really fun experience, getting to have my car come down from the vending machine and put into a bay just for me. I bought a 2016 Lexus GS 350 two weeks ago through Carvana. What drew me in initially was a great price (nearby dealership was about $3,500 more for almost an identical car with similar mileage) and a user friendly website that made it easy to tour the car. You also get a FREE copy of the carfax report. With saving as much money as I did I wasn't expecting good customer service. Boy was I wrong, when I called to discuss adding a trade in car to my purchase I was greeted by a positive helpful person. All my future calls to confirm pickup date and verify my back account funds were also with very upbeat positive customer service people. I was relived with how stress free they made the process. They have even streamlined how they verify you have enough money in your account for car purchase. The 7 day money back guarantee is nice and I was pleasantly surprised that Carvana sent me emails following up on how car was driving and reminding me how many days I had left on 7 day guarantee. Other companies would have gone out of there way to try to make your forget about the 7 days to lower the chance you might return. This showed me the confidence Carvana has in their car quality. I bought the car on Black Friday and was very impressed that the day after my 7 days was up. Carvana made sure my $1000 promotion check was overnight mailed to me. Picking up the car was a fun experience with putting the token in the machine. Lastly and most importantly the car drives great and looks exactly like it did on the website. To be safe I took it too dealership for an inspection and they confirmed the car was in great shape and the tires were basically new. My next car will also be from carvana.

I have been buying cars for 45 years, mostly though dealers but also some from private parties. Car dealers were a love/hate relationship: the excitement of getting a new car vs. the very long wait time, the high pressure, and the "surprises" when the deal is about to be closed. Carvana changed all that, with the exception of the excitement factor. Never have I worked with employees who were were so honestly pleasant and knowledgeable about what they do. Pressure? There simply was none. The process of actually filling out the forms, payment, etc. took less than 45 minutes. Buying a car you have never physically seen in person can be worrisome, but Carvana also has that covered with their 4 month, 4000 mile service contract, not to mention their 7 day return policy. I even caught a bit of luck. When I first visited their website they had the exact car I was looking for at considerably less than a competing online dealership had to offer. On the day of delivery the Carvana truck was right on time, and in 45 minutes, which included a 15 minute test drive, our new car was ours. Because of this extremely positive experience the next time I am in the market for a car my first stop will be Carvana. and I will recommend Carvana to anyone who is looking to buy a car. Keep up the great work!

I rented this car for a 10 day vacation in Arizona and loved it immediately. The first thing I noticed was how quiet it was in the interior. The interior was all leather, like all leather, not pleather, not just trim pieces but full leather, heated steering wheel and seats, Android Auto, power drivers seat. Awesome! Keyless entry allowed me to just have the key in my pocket to open doors and hatch. Since I was hiking trails with gear and supplies it was great to not fumble with a key. The car is turbo and pass on mountain roads just fine with automatic transmission. My previous car had a CVT transmission so that was sluggish. The horsepower is average but the turbo gives it the boost it needs. I returned from vacation in Arizona to Boston, MA and bought a 2017 Encore AWD with 85 miles on it.

I was searching for a new car at local area dealerships and in two instances got to the negotiating table and couldn???t close the deal. The dealerships were either low balling my trade or asking for more than the car was worth. So my husband and I were out on a date and we saw the new vending machine in Charlotte. I had not heard of Carvana. My husband had because his friend raved about his experience purchasing a mini van in Atlanta. I went home to see what cars were available and sure enough they had the car I wanted with 11k miles less than anything in my local market within the price point I was willing to pay. So I started doing research. I was worried that this wasn???t a legitimate company, but everything I read was to the contrary. Additionally, I work for a major financial institution and had my own financing. Then I was worried that my company wouldn???t do business with Carvana. Sure enough they were an approved lender. I took this as a sign to go for the car I???ve wanted for 4 years. The entire process was easy from start to finish. The online forms were easy to understand. I even had a trade. All I needed to do was to answer questions and provide pictures which were also easy to upload. The offer for my trade was right inline with what I expected it to be. Every time I had a question I would call into Carvana and I would get a different person, but that wasn???t a problem because they all were able to see my account and answer any questions I had. They all had the best personalities and were very customer focused to make me feel at ease with the process. I received ongoing communication about the status of my application and final purchase. My delivery was scheduled for a time that worked with my schedule because the vending machine was not open. The young women who delivered my car was a joy to work with. She called ahead to let me know she was on the way. When she arrived she let me take the car for a test drive while she took care of my trade. The whole process took about 30 to 45 minutes at the most. Within a week of the delivery, I received a lovely note from the young women who delivered my vehicle thanking me for my purchase. I received an email from Carvana and a gift certificate thanking me as well. I took my new car to my local mechanic and they confirmed that it was perfect. This has far exceeded my expectations and has far surpassed any car purchase I have had. Thank you Carvana for changing the car buying experience forever. My son will be getting his first car at the end of the summer and I have already said we will purchase again from Carvana!

Let me start by saying that I've typically shied away from the smaller independent lots. I recently bought a 2011 Acura MDX from Apex Car & Truck Sales. From start to finish it was a GREAT experience. I'd done my homework and was pretty set on the make/model/year of what I wanted to get. When I saw they had what I wanted listed in their inventory I called them up to make sure it was still in stock and also to make sure the timing of my visit was ok as they were very close to closing. They told me to come on in. I was greeted by David the owner as well as Michael Ketter who was the salesman I dealt with. The car was pulled around all ready to go when I arrived. Michael showed me around the car, got a copy of my license and sent me on my way for a test drive. Even though it was very near closing time they pressured me in no way at all and allowed me to take my time. I ended up staying at the dealer a good 15 or 20 minutes after closing. Once I settled on the car and got my financing taken care of at my bank I called them to let them know I was ready to buy. When I showed up everything was ready to go, just had to sign a few things and I was on my way. A few things that set this dealer apart: 1. Price! I can't necessarily comment on the prices of other vehicles on the lot but the car I bought was priced WAY below similar vehicles I'd seen. So much so that I told Michael up front that I was good on the price and saw no reason to negotiate any further. Especially considering bullet point #2. 2. NO DOC FEES! Take the sticker price, add 3% sales tax and that is your out the door price. No hidden or additional fees. 3. All vehicles come standard with a 3 month/4500 mile limited warranty. Not many used car dealers include any kind of warranty. 3 month/4500 isn't that long but it's enough to give you a little peace of mind in the unfortunate event that something goes wrong shortly after purchase. 4. Fantastic pricing! Like I said I'd done my homework and knew what I should expect to pay for such a car. Their price was $2300 below NADA value and came in under my budget enough that I was able to purchase a 4 year unlimited mile warranty. Given the vehicle I’d been shopping for and my price range this was a totally unexpected bonus. All in all this was the best car buying experience I've ever had. In fact it’s not even close. They were trustworthy, easygoing and made the buying process a very easy low pressure experience. Five stars. I’d give more if I could. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

The room in this mid size SUV with third row seating is absolutely amazing. I'm 5'9" and I don't have to crouch down to move through the back area. I barely have to bend any further than I did in my minivan and that amazes me, I thought I'd be sacrificing a lot of room moving from a van to an SUV but that is not the case here. The only real complaint I have is that I purchased the 6 cylinder AWD and I think definitely go for the 8 cylinder if you have the option. You're going to break even in the gas mileage department and the extra power is noticeably worth it, in my opinion. All in all, I think Buick hit it out of the park with this ride!

We came to Johnson Subaru after seeing and hearing about the new Subaru Ascent. I previously had a 2006 Subaru Forester XT and felt that it was out of date with technology and features, so my next car was a 2012 Toyota Prius C. As my Toyota no longer met our family's current needs, we began our car search for an SUV that was safe, and as I put it, "Casey Proof" since I am spacey and clumsy. We were looking for a car that had new technology and safety features, and found that other brands (GMC, Buick, Chevy, etc.) only offered the features in the top trim and were out of our price range. We honestly came to the dealership thinking we would just do a quick test drive and cross Subaru off of our list, but surprisingly it turned out to be exactly the opposite. Bobby was super friendly and we let him know that we wouldn't be purchasing today, and didn't want to waste his time. He didn't seem to mind and said that he was excited to show me what the new Ascent is all about. We drove up to their huge lot and drove by all of their inventory. During the test drive, Bobby told us about the dealership, what they are known for, and never pressured us to purchase anything. Bobby was very knowledgeable and answered the 200 questions I had haha. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that all new 2019 Subaru vehicles have the standard safety and technology features that we were looking for. Subaru has come a long way since I last knew about them. We stopped our car search and knew that we wanted to purchase a Subaru from Bobby due to his exceptional customer service. We went back and forth with the Ascent and Forester, and ultimately ended up purchasing a Forester. We are so happy with the our new SUV. It is a very smooth drive, we feel safe, and we like all of the features with our phone apps, Apple Car Play, etc. We were also happy that the Johnson Subaru dealership is part of the Costco Auto program. It helped make negotiating easier, and we felt that we got a good deal. We feel that Bobby is very approachable and easy to ask questions to. I sometimes asked the same questions multiple times because I forgot the answer and he didn't make me feel silly. I left the dealership with all of my questions answered. I feel EDUCATED about the vehicle that I purchased, and I think that that is the most important thing!! :) I highly recommend working with Bobby for his honesty, knowledge, and personality.

Great small SUV with all the latest in technology. I get great gas mileage 38 on the highway and around 32 combined. Has adequate pickup; Buick sales rep told me about Trifecta performance tuning which livened up the vehicle. (optional aftermarket engine trans tuning software)
