Went in to test drive a 4runner at Charlton Motors. I called the dealership right after they opened. Allen answered the phone and told me to come on by. I was greeted promptly by another employee and was taken to Allen's office. He knew exactly what vehicle I wanted to drive and has me test driving within 5 mins. No nonsense dealership. My deal didn't go through due to extraneous reasons but I wouldn't mind coming back here for a purchase or repairs.

Top notch, hi end dealership. My salesman Kenneth answered all questions and really made me and my wife feel at home. He took the time to answer all questions and let us test drive as many cars as we wanted with no hesitations. I really believed he wanted is to leave very satisfied. I found a very specific and unique sportscar at TVE using the internet (Jaguar XK-R). I'm in Illinois so giving it a test drive in person was not practical. I sent a friend from the Dallas area to inspect the car and test drive. Everything went without a hitch. The inspection showed no surprises. The dealer didn't point out anything, but any blemishes were there to see and the dealer certainly didn't try to hide anything. The test drive went good, everything on the car checked out. The carfax was good and I called Jaguar and the VIN check showed all maintenance was up to date. I bought the car without a hassle ($500 deposit, cashier's check down payment with paperwork, they financed balance of car price at a better than local rate). Everything went as fast as you could hope for thanks to a prepaid and labeled Fedex envelope. They received my check on Friday morning, car was loaded on a transporter on Saturday morning, I received the car Sunday night. Car had all the minor issues I already knew about, nothing more. Engine runs perfectly, even better than expected. I'm extremely pleased and would not hesitate to buy from this place again. There are some other places near the area I would NOT recommend - but this place is A-OK! They've been in business around 17 years. You don't stick around that long if you sell junk. I will certainly check them out again when I'm looking for that special sports, luxury, or off-road vehicle!
I bought a used vehicle from Crest. The conditions of sale was somewhat challenging due to the condition of the vehicle. As I understood it, the vehicle was a trade-in that had not gone through the regular service and sale readiness. Tire, rear light and other minor parts had to be replaced, but I had to agree to buy the vehicle before these services were performed. The vehicle couldn't be properly checked out because regular things like remote etc were not working. I agreed to buy the vehicle because I liked the vehicle and trusted Crest's reputation. Things got complicated when some of the important options were not working after the services were completed. The salesman (Jolly) was understanding, but the manager (Steve) didn't want to fix anything else on the vehicle. Luckily, the malfunctioning options only needed proper operation.and adjustments. 2 days after the vehicle was picked up, we noticed that the A/C was not functioning properly. The vehicle was taken back to Crest for diagnosis. A rental vehicle was provided while the vehicle was being serviced. The service department initially requested that I pay $400.00 of the cost of $1,600.00 to get it fixed. They later waived the $400.00 charge. Although I had some problems with the buying experience, the eventual result was positive. The 5* is to show appreciation for the commitment to customer satisfaction.
The time that I spent at the dealership was kept to a minimum. The staff was courteous and friendly! I would recommend James Wood to all of my family and friends..
