I dealt with Kemmy Shores when purchasing my used vehicle and he was fantastic. Showed me all of the available inventory and helped choose the right car to fit my needs. Would never go anywhere else other than Gupton's for sales or service!

I am pleased with this truck. I haven't had any problems, as of yet. The truck is showing 97,000 on it but the carfax shows 297,000. Other than that I have had good luck with it. The A/C works as well as the heater. The interior is plush and carpet in good condition. It seems to drive and handle a bit on the HEAVY side, thus it being a 2500. I am experiencing a bit of a problem with the tie rod end on the driver's side, and the lock won't lock on the pass. side with the button. Over all a good truck to scoot around in, it's working days are over with.
I bought this 97 K2500 4x4 truck used with a 6.5 turbo diesel. The motor needed a new PMD which happens alot with this motor. The PMD always burns up and the truck wont run right because of the PMDs placement.and I got a FSD heat-sync because of its relocated location so it will never go bad ever again. The truck runs like a champ after I replaced a bad vacuum pump and now the turbo works great. mileage is from low 12s city and could go all the way up to 20 highway if you drive it right. The control arm bushings are being replaced, I put on a new air intake, and I hope to do much more with this big block V8 motor. but a FSD HEAT-SYNC is a MUST with this motor of you will hate this truck and the dealerships for changing your injection pumps 10 times in two year and still not solving the problem!
Was looking at a Chevy HHR on the lot asked some questions about the rear seats and got answers back quickly had knowledge about the vehicle which was fine however asked about taking it to my mechanic to have it checked and was told I could bring him down but couldn't take it to him other dealers had no problem with it so this did bring up a concern about the dealer.
Good experience with my used car purchase. The staff at Stewart's were very accommodating. I was from out of town and they were more than happy to work with my schedule to test drive as well as the final purchase. Great deal on used cars! Wouldn't hesitate to shop there again.

the best suspension for towing the best power for towing and snow plowing the most comfortable interior for long and short ride times 7.4 liter engine is the most durable around with the best performance and mileage for what the use has been for its life
They keep an accurate online inventory. The car was sold before I could make it to the dealer. They saved me from making a 150 mile trip for nothing, some dealers are a little more lax in their online inventory management. "Oh, hey sorry about that we sold that car last month, do you want to look at something else?"

Perfect for my job-I needed a strong truck with an eight foot bed and this one is perfect for the way I use it.

Great truck to drive and cool around town

This car has met all my needs except A/C. I’ve always loved this truck. It’s fast and reliable and all in all a great truck.
Jim Rush has awesome salespeople, service department and the administration office was fast and sweet with no bull. Rick is a man of his word what he said is exactly what's happened. So if there's bad reviews against them don't believe it. It's probably just another car lot trying to make them look bad. We all know not everything on the internet is true. Accept this review. I'm just a small town guy telling it like it is!
One of the best vehicles that was made

The pickup of my choice is the 6.5litre turbo diesel. This truck did not have the most power of any diesel when made but it was incredibley reliable. It also got amazing milage, and the handeling was awesome for a three quarter ton pickup. It would pull a 26 foot stock trailer fine but you better not try to race anyone when pulling. Alltogher it was a nice machine and they should have kept making them.
Large selection. No pressure to buy. Was able to browse without anyone hovering over me. Loved the cats and the scenic country atmosphere. Much better than the city car lots I had visited
Best Truck Ever Built

This truck was bought new and ran it for 230000+ miles. The only reason i got rid of it is due to the rear seal going out in the engine. This caused the clutch to burn out. By far one of the best trucks I ever owned.
Overall I was happy with the experience I had and the truck I purchased. They do not offer a free warranty upon purchase so ask about warranty as they offer a 3rd party warranty that you have to pay for.
I bought my current daily driver from them in 2014. It had been part of their rental fleet. I had to replace the alternator shortly after purchase. I never got the promised maintenance record so I have no idea about the life of shocks, brakes, and other parts with similar upkeep needs. Despite these disappointments I'm giving them an overall good rating and excellent on the buying experience which was straightforward and well-handled. There were no high-pressure tactics or fannying about. I'm currently in the market for a pickup for utility hauling and would buy from them again if they had the right "rig" (as we say out west).
1996 K2500 6.5 Liter Turbo Diesel

I purchased my Cheyene from my state department of transportation as surplus. they used it for ten years then auctioned it for $5600.00 with 130,000 miles on it.
I had many required maintenance trips to the shop.
But have put another 100,000 miles on the running gear.
Recently I replaced the transmission but the engine is still very good. No blow by and no oil consumption.
I had to replace the rear main seal so I put a new transmission in. The old transmission was still running but had too many miles on it for me.
The miles and cost 25 cents per mile for maintenance and diesel modifications says alot about these trucks. I still get 14 miles per gallon too.
About the same as my old B2200.
It is a good old fashioned diesel pickup that sounds like a truck and rides like a truck.
I had a great experience with Ron and Roxanne. They were very knowledgeable about all the cars that I asked about. There were plenty of cars to choose from; I bought a great mileage car and I did have to bring it back cuz I had a light out and he got it fixed right away. Nice clean business and I even got to join them for a delicious lunch!
Only inquired...however response from staff was impressive and courteous...may still stop in for test drive
