I've been taking my Chevy vehicles to the Doyle Chevrolet service department for years and have always been treated with awesome customer service. So when the time came to purchase a new vehicle I did my research and decided to look into the Chevy Traverse. I stopped by randomly on a Saturday afternoon and met Phil Kunzer. He took the time to show my wife and I a few Traverse's on their lot, demonstrating and explaining all the features. We explained we just started the process and needed time to do our own research on various vehicles. Phil has been in the car industry for decades, but he's not the cliche car salesman. He allows you the time to go through the process at your own pace unlike other salesmen who try to close you within a few minutes. This was so refreshing. My wife and I researched and test drove the Explorer XLT the following week while staying in touch with Phil. He was very responsive to our emails and when I mentioned we wanted to come back for a test drive he had everything ready upon our arrival. I mean everything, he literally just handed us the keys as we walked in. This was completely different than my experience with other dealerships where I made appointments and ended up sitting around waiting for assistance. When we returned from our test drive my wife and I knew the Traverse was the vehicle for us. Phil was still a consummate professional, taking the time to go through different quotes and making sure we understood each detail. I admit, I never liked purchasing vehicles as I feel car salesmen are all the same, i.e. quantity over quality. However, Phil made us feel like a valued customer and treated us with patience and respect from beginning to the end.
