Found my '13 Ram 1500 on Cars.com but Heath handled the rest over the phone. He got me financed, got all my requirements filled and answered all of my questions. We got everything done so I could drive up, test drive, sign the paperwork and drive home.
Dee was an excellent sales lady. She went above and beyond helpful when we were looking for a used Lacrosse! I give her a 5! Although we did not purchase from you, it wasn't because of her...It was because of the fellow who looked at our used car for trade in. He did not ask us anything about it and did not know about the car. He gave us a low ball figure without so much as acknowledging our presence or even giving us eye contact. The KBB he gave us was for a poor condition vehicle. We ended up selling it for triple what he said it was worth. When he gave the low figure I knew he did not know the model. He needs to work on getting more information before giving a number that was outrageously low. On a positive note, you've got an excellent sales lady with Dee and I would've loved buying a car from her!
I had a howling rear wheel bearing needed to be changed. Because of the age of the car and the rust buildup on the assembly, the estimate was $500 plus. As a 72 year old Viet Nam veteran, this would mean that I would have to give up things to pay for it. Much to my surprise, a Service Tech named Duane successfully tried and implemented an unorthodox method of replacing the bearing. That reduced the cost down to $247. He is my hero. I have always had good luck with Hart Ford but this experience was the best. I cannot say enough to express my appreciation of the whole crew over there: Jerry, Andrew, and several more whose names I don't know.
I contacted the dealer regarding a 2002 Nissan Maxima. Alan Schaeffer contacted me and made arrangements for me to inspect the vehicle on a hoist. As a certified auto technician it was important to me to be able to check out the car beyond just a test drive. Alan went above and beyond to make sure he met my requests. He originally was going to be out of town but met me in the morning to take care of me. Their facility was undergoing a remodel when I visited so they were working out of a mobile office (trailer). I thought the other guys in the office weren't very interested but they might just have been being respectful and quiet. I found the pictures on the classified sites were very accurate. I was not impressed by one picture but it was very accurate and the only problem was limitation with pictures. If you wonder what I mean, look at your car, take some pictures and then look at the pictures. Can you see all of the scratches or tiny dings? Do you see in the pictures everything you see with your eyes? No you won't. The pictures of my car were not misleading or inaccurate. One was just not flattering. If anything the only complaint I could find was the description of the car wasn't complete in that it didn't list ALL of the features. The car was better equipped than the description. But is that really a bad thing? I was very pleased with my experience and would definitely recommend this dealer and especially Alan Shaeffer to any friend willing to drive to Hart Ford Lincoln. I will definitely check their inventory the next time I am in the market for a vehicle since I have 3 soon to be 4 drivers in my home.
As I said, I was satisfied with the service, and will be back in the future. Time to do oil change was under 45 minutes. The facility is neat and clean.
