Unreliable diesel truck

The 2500 hd gas version is reliable. However the 2500 diesel version is unreliable. My father had a 2014 chevy silverado 2500hd with the duramax engine. It broke down often. He hardly used it for work. Mostly just for weekends to go out . Never pulled ,towed or hauled anything with it. The reason he finally got rid of it was after the fuel system had a problem and it ended up damaging the internal parts of the engine . Factory warranty paid $8k to fix it. Luckily it was still under the 36k miles. So stay away from these duramax engines. The only reliable duramax engines are the ones made in 2006 .
William Karrels was the best salesman I have ever dealt with..He was amazing and I will return for any future purchases I have..I highly recommend Grant motors and William Karrels for your auto buying needs..Thanks William...

Best truck. Best motor. The LML motor is a beast. The truck rides great. The interior is awesome. Everything works together great. Best truck that I have bought.
It was nice to get beyond the dickering that one is always subjected to from car salespeople. Buying from the comfort of home was nice.
Best truck I've owned

Besides the gas mileage being extremely low due to being a gas truck it was worked extremely well for my family. Pulled my camper fully loaded and the bed filled. On long drives was very comfortable not just for me but my passengers also. World but this truck again but might go for the Diesel upgrade.
Amazing customer service all very polite and helpful on trying to make sure your happiness is achieved. When I was not sure about the vehicle I was originally mistreated in they helped me find a car around the price and model I wanted.
Has good and bad points

The truck is a little under powered. There are some rattles that should not be there. The hook up for the safety chains and receiver for the hitch are a 1 or 2 out of 5. The ride is quite comfortable.
My experience with Lee Auto Group was unforgettable! They treated me like a part of the family and showed me they were ONLY looking out for my best interest, as oppose to merely trying to make a sale. They are great business folk, and I would recommend anyone to go there for a thorough, fervent, affable, and professional experience. Don’t let the looks fool you!
Perfect Truck for LIFE!

I love my Silverado LTZ! It drives amazing and looks the same! Its by far the most comfortable diesel truck I've ever been in and still has a ton of luxury features that make it a fantastic ride anywhere I need to go!
My rating is based on Craig???s work. He answered all my questions. He walked through the lot and looked at every truck with me until I found the one I wanted.
L5P Duramax has no comparisons

I’ve owned Ford and Dodge diesels in the past, nothing compares to the L5P. The truck is comfortable, quiet and has an impressive torque range. Have not had it long enough to gauge mileage, so far it compares to the LML when it was new.
Excellent In so many ways: Mr. Hernandez, the salesman; the car itself,
the professionalism of the staff, the quality of the repairs.

Actually this was the perfect truck for my needs everything is what I wanted from gas engine to double cab even the color only concern I may have is fuel milage but with towing ability an very well equipped I think I can live with it
I had what could of been a disastrous experience. Thanks to Carlos that didn't happen. I got the vehicle i really wanted at the price i wanted. And although i cant in good conscience recommend their service department the guys up front from sales up to management should be commended. They all made sure my needs were met. Thanks Grant motors. Sincerely. Id do business with you again based solely off your willingness to have satisfactory solutions and most importantly your integrity to keep your word. Thanks again Carlos.

I’m disappointed 68000 dollar truck with 54000 miles only and def system is bad what a shame I parked it bought a 07 dodge I pay 730 bucks a month on a truck that needs 3 to 4000 dollars or more worth of work what a shame chevy
I needed a new bulb for my taillight. I was helped by Alicia. since my other representative, Mike retired. I am a 90-year-old customer and have a 20-year-old Oldsmobile. You have taken care of my car for the 14 years I have lived in Naples. Alicia was so kind and helpful.
I am hoping she can be my service representative when I have future car problems.
My experience rates 5 stars and a thank you. Irma Johnson

Great ride. Quieter than i thought for a diesel. All bells and wistles needed. Easy to enter and comfortable. Rear camera gelps alot, especally for hooking rv.
Overall experience was good. Brought vehicle in to be serviced and the job was completed; however, very, very expensive. A $45 part cost me $870 for total repair.
Very unreliable truck.

Bought this truck new. It only has 60,000 miles in 7 years. Everything works fine except for the DEF system for the diesel engine. It's been in shop 4 times for DEF sensors and each time cost me around $500 to $900 dollars to get it fixed. I will not drive too far from home because never know when the sensors will break. Never buy another chevrolet diesel.
Courteous and professional. This was my 2nd vehicle from Harbor and will likely buy from them again, why do you need twenty five words? Stupid
loved truck until the DEF system started failing!

After 120,000 miles the DEF system started failing, with the cost of this truck GM should correct this flaw which continue to plague many of the customers owning these trucks,
