Exhilarating performance with a sleeper-like body style. Until you notice the giant Brimbo brakes on each wheel, some may dismiss the SS as a family vehicle (which it easily could be). The brilliant LS3 motor and impressive power-train flawlessly deliver power to the rear wheels which you feel in the driver seat. If you find yourself on a test drive then may I highly suggest the Competitive Mode setting.
I had THE best experience at Carmax...the salespeople were non-pressuring, helpful and just amazing (especially Daniel!). They went out of their way to make every step comfortable and unpainful. I will most definitely go there when I need to buy my daughter a car and when I need to upgrade in a few years!
A great car for the money

I recently purchased a certified pre owned 2015 Chevy SS sedan and I love it!! This car has good power and a lot of amenities that my 2009 bmw 528i doesn’t have nor any of my previous bmw’s have had in them. Chevy did a good job with the production of this car. I really love the power and comfort of this car for a 4 door sedan. Great job to Chevy. A true 4 door corvette!!!!
I was contact Mr Jake Henshaw in the Raleigh N.C. store who was very professional and provided me with the best car buying experience that I’ve ever had. After identifying what I was looking for in a car he was able to provide me with several option which helped with my selection. Mr Henshaw followed the Car Max procedure which covered a detailed outline that indeed provided a very smooth and thorough handling of all paperwork within a timely fashion. I rate Mr Henshaw 5+

This is my second one. Had a 14 traded it for a 16, couldn’t be happier. Interior is up to date, the styling could be better
We were so happy after the first time dealing with Don Franklin and our salesman Darryl Bond it was an easy decision where to go 2 more times! We got great deals with no stress or pressure, Darryl Bond worked hard and found us exactly what we wanted and got us a really good deal. I have and will continue to send people there including my parents! This IS the place to go! #007

I have owned this vehicle previously and although it was totaled in an accident I had to acquire another. My personal preference is a manual transmission which is why I first looked at this vehicle. It is hard to find a vehicle that seats 5 has this much space, power, comes with an option for a manual transmission, and is in this price point. The Cadillac ATS-V would be a runner up, but it doesn’t have the sound and feel of a V8, is smaller and more expensive. The only reason I knocked it down a star in exterior is because it has more chrome than I care for.
The service crew is one of the best in town. They the experience worth coming in. If there were more service teams like this one, people would be more than happy to take their car in for service.
A new E39 from Chevrolet

These cars are know as the Commodore in Australia and Europe. They were built by Holden before GM closed the Australian manufacturing. There is a sense of European balance with Ozzie swagger. The styling is very subtle. Perfect for those of us who prefer the driving experience to showing off. All the underpinnings come from the GM parts bin that supports Camaro’s and Corvettes. 6.2 V8, 6-speed manual and fabulous handling on the magnetic ride control. Yet does not draw attention. A perfect Q-car to quickly work traffic with. I did a cross country in very good without so much as a glance from the constabulary. Drove 17 hours one day without become uncomfortable. I have a E39 BMW, this is about as close to that type of driving experience I have found.
We have bought several cars over the years from Colman Freeman. Best place in town! Go see them if you are looking for a car!
Made in Australia. Excellent workmanship!

The car had only two options, moon roof and full size spare. EVERYTHING else was in the base price! LS3-6.2 V-8. It's a four door Corvette. $25,000 less than a CTS-V. If they were still making them I would buy another.
Johnny German was exceptionally helpful in the purchase of my truck.
Most fun I have ever had in car ownership

Lets be honest, this is a niche car. It's for person who wants the thrill of a corvette but cannot afford to have a weekend car and needs four doors for the kids. It's a tough sell in this market when there are M3's and CTS-V's to compete against (M5's don't come with a third peddle for some time so I don't include it in my list). And may explain why it is no longer made. But xxxx they got it right - it's everything the other two have but at a more reasonable price.
I was presently surprised with the My Link infotainment system. I am able to play my podcasts and skip through the list of podcasts through the touch screen. No fast forward, but I normally do that with my Apple Watch anyway.
But again, I need to be honest again - you don't get this car for the infotainment system. You get it for the Power and handling. I got the stick shift which was VERY hard to find, but worth the chase! Anyone who is reading this who has not learned to drive stick do me a favor and ask yourself "do you make love with your clothes on?" No? Then stop driving an automatic and learn to drive with your clothes off, umm well you get my point.
I have never had so much fun going to get milk in my life. I will keep this car until the wheels fall off, and if they do I will find someone to put them back on.
I never had a problem out of this car, the interior of the car is nice, everything runs properly & smoothly, I feel safe for my 4 month yearbook old son to be in this car and the car is also a easy clean for those who has children or a child.
I was amazed with the courtesy provided this dealership. I was expecting to get a ride home until they completed the repairs on my car. Kathy asked me if I wanted a loaner car? I responded how much per day is it. She replied it’s free! I nearly spit my coffee out when I heard this. I said thank you to her.
The problem with my car the check engine light comes on. I went to Autozone and the ran a test that revealed P0101. ITunes U videos showed this being an Mass Airfow Sensor as the cause of the problem. I had 29,300 miles on the car, thinking that it would cost me an arm and leg if I took the car to the dealership. I bought some MAS cleaner from autozone thinking I could fix this on my own. To make a long story short. I went ahead a took the car from the dealership. This was the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and Kathy said they would start the repair on Friday due to the holiday. On Friday around noon I received a call from Kathy and she told me I could pick the car up anytime before 7 PM.
At end of the conversation I had ask how was it going to cost me? I held my breath! All repairs were free! Yes Free!
I went to pickup my car and and came home a happy man.
Today is sad that more businesses doesn’t that type of service! I appreciate Nissan dealership in Lewisville their staff for making my day just a little bit better. If the scale was 100 I would them 100 stars for the courtesy, professionalism and desire to give quality service to the people who bought cars from them.
Kathy should a get raise for her excellent customer service and her professionalism. Rating. 100 stars!

quicker than a mustang, charger, challenger and camaro, plus it has 4 doors. chevy ss is fast and cheaper than a corvette.
The title says it all. I never get pressured by the sales or finance people. I got exactly what I wanted at a great price. And I was in and out in 2.5 hours including test driving to signing the papers. Steve and Miguel were fantastic.
Fun to drive

The seats are a bit hard so I give it 4 stars for comfort. What can I say, 2 years later and I can still get over 90% of what I paid for it, very few cars that can do that. Basically this is a camaro for those of us with kids. I take it on ski trips with snow tires and it is a fun car to drive on the mountains. I cannot recommend it for long trips... but just buy another more cushy car for that and keep the SS for 2-3 hour adrenaline loaded trips
Dean Francis and the finance staff were very helpful. They were great about financing with whichever bank you want to work with. I received a fair deal for my trade and the price was right on the used vehicle that I purchased. I had one trade offer for my vehicle elsewhere that was higher, but the Helfman offer was the same as two others for my trade. Even so, the deal at Helfman was better. There are too many factors to list and they did NOT try to sell me anything I did not need. As a bonus, Unlike some dealers, my used vehicle at Helfman actually had floor mats and BOTH keys to the car. They have a big selection of sports cars and I am very happy with my experience. Thank you!

We will miss the Holden Commodore, which is what the Chevrolet SS is. The car has tremendous power, holds the road tight and is a true joy to drive. Sadly never was advertised by GM.
Found a few cars I was interested in online. Called and was told how online works, but I was visiting Houston area the following week, so I decided I wanted to just go to the dealership. I was very impressed how easy this process was. After test driving four cars decided on the Maxima (my third Maxima). Was told it was not ready to roll and it would take a few days for it to be ready. I told the salesman that we were leaving Houston in three days and I needed to take the car with me. Thank you Sergio for making sure my car would be ready and texting me with updates, as I asked about the deadline promised.
Ultimate Stealth Mode Performance Vehicle

Superb performance! Strong acceleration from the LS3 V8. Intoxicating exhaust note! It just begs you to push the revs above 3 grand. Excellent handling, strong brakes, precise steering. Seat comfort is good. Plenty of adult legroom in the front and back seats. It's basically a 4 door Camaro.
Dislikes: weak AC, not so grand sound quality from stereo, slow and ancient looking nav system.
I made an appointment with a sales person who contacted me by phone in response to a website enquiry I made. The sales person was waiting for me when I arrived, took me out for a test drive and handled the sale thoroughly and professionally. There were one or two minor maintenance issues I wanted the service department to check before taking the car, so they kept it over the weekend. The service manager called on Monday to update status and kept me informed. I picked up the car on Tuesday and have been pleased with it. Price was what should be expected for the make, model and mileage according to Cars.com, NADA and Kelly Bluebook.

Amazing car for the money. Great usable space. This car may be the last of its kind, v8 powered, option for a manual transmission, and seating for a family of 5.
Excellent customer service!! Staff was so helpful and made the experience so great and so easy. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a new or used car.

I have been looking for a bigger 4 door performance sedan to accomodate my growing family. I already own a SUV and a Wagon..so my personal fun vehicle needs to be replaced. It is great..but too small to fit the family of 4 now if i want to go out for a fun drive. The list of 4 door performace sedans that are a few years old (V8'S) is not long. I don't want the maintenance cost of a BMW or a Mercedes...so this vehicle was my target. Cars.com pointed me to a dealer who had the exact SS i was looking for in stock. Made the appointment and headed over to see it. The car is BIG...I'm 6 foot and 350 lbs and i could sit in the back behind the drivers seat adjusted to me drving with no problem. Trunk is big. And of course the drivetrain is awesome..LS3 and 6 speed paddle shift auto. The drivers seat was a bit hard..think some rear numbness may occur on longer drives. Dual zone climate control was great...and the sound and power..again...awesome. Would be a very fun car for the daily slog and for some fun on a backroad too. I will own one of these at some point..just have to keep my eye on the market for them.
