2018 2.0T AWD with 172k miles on it and it is going STRONG. Bought it used with 31k miles. Zero major issues but I've maintained it religiously, oil and transmission oil changed regularly. Spark plugs and coils had to be switched out at 130k miles but that's expected. Transmission is running strong and still sounds as great as the day I bought it.

I bought a 2016 Cruze Limited brand new in December 2015 and just this week parted ways with it at 100k miles. This was a great little car that I wouldn’t hesitate to buy again! The interior is comfortable and roomy and for the price, it has all the tech that you really need. Like most cars, it started needing more than the regular maintenance when it started getting close to 100k miles, but it’s still a reliable car and a great value. If you’re truly looking for a car to get you from A to B with a little extra in the way of amenities and you don’t have a complex about impressing people you don’t know with things you can’t afford, this car is a wonderful option.

I bought my Equinox new off the lot in 2015 to be my winter driving car. I’ve had it for 10 years, and have driven it 60 miles round-trip in some of the worst winter weather in the lower 48 states. The Equinox held the road well on ice, in slush, and in deep snow on days that I was on the road before the snow plows. It has always been reliable and has never left me stranded. I’ve had no major issues in over 107,000 miles. I appreciate the cargo space which is much better than the newer models. I regularly recommend Equinoxes to my friends and family.

We purchased our 2017 hatchback new in the summer of 2017. Our only expenses at 134,000 plus miles has been gas, regular oil and filter changes, tire pressure sensor and tires. A VERY reliable car with average mileage 34 mpg, max highway was 55 plus! And normal highway at 70 mpg of 43 mpg. No interior, exterior or mechanical issues or viewable wear. I wish Chevy still produced them for sale in U.S.A. as we would gladly buy another. No other new vehicle this size, mileage, amenities at this price.

I’ve had my 2019 trax 52k miles for almost 3 years, absolutely love the car no problems so far(knock on wood) only small minor inconvenience a ground wire got a little dusty and was cleaned. I have done the pcv fix as Chevy did not make it good for these engines in the long run. Not a lot of power for my liking so I modified some components. Not very friendly for tall people im 6’3 and have my seat set almost all the way back.

I called this dealership regarding a used car they had listed on the Car.com website. I was looking at this car for my son. I spoke with Luke Varner and he informed me that someone had put a deposit on the car to see if they could get a loan and that if the deal fell through, he would call me back. I really did not expect to hear back from Mr. Varner; but he did call me back and let me know the other individual couldn't get a loan to buy the car and if I was still interested to call him and he would answer any questions that I might have regarding the car. Unfortunately, at that point in time my son had already purchased another vehicle. However, I do appreciate that fact that Mr. Varner called me back and was very polite and courteous. I would recommend Varner Car Sales based on the customer service I received from the dealership; however I cannot vouch for the reliability of their cars based on the fact that I did not purchase a vehicle.

I brought my Ford Fiesta in for service. Kayla in the service center was very professional, knowledgeable and kept me informed. I thought the service was expensive....but that is not on the Ford Dealership...that is the way parts are these days. I was a little angry because I had to bring the car back for service within 3 days, but was very happy at the treatment received from Kayla and the dealership. I bought a 2007 Chevy Cobalt LT with 89000 miles roughly every light you can think of on the dashboard was lit up to the guy just want to get rid of it so he sells me for 500 bucks I bought it cause my niece also had the same make and the same year but her car only had 79,000 mi but she didn't think it was I don't know fast enough or what the color maybe cuz hers was yellow so I bought it off her for $1,000 cause she had the money for the car that she wanted and she really didn't care about how much she could get maximum for her car so she said $1,000 I said so plus you know all the closing fees and all that so what I did was did an engine swap I did I'd say about 40% of the engine swap and my niece's husband did the other 60% and swap and it worked out perfectly the 2.2 ecotec engine that's it Chevy made was a very easy swap and they easy to work on and everything like that anyhow I drove that car from 79000 MI at the age of 20 to roughly 256,000 MI I never had a serious engine transmission breakdown I had to get a new exhaust because I hit a rock and it punctured a hole in my old exhaust so I had to buy a new one but I changed the oil on it every 3,000 miles with synthetic high mileage Pennzoil every 3k miles cuz that's what the handbook said I should ever see something on I should change the engine oil in my car I definitely spent more money in engine oil and filters cuz I do my own oil changes on all my vehicles held I think a little less than 5 quarts every time I just had to buy a 5 quart borrow a pennzo and oil filter change a couple of times and find out that this oil phone is better than anything and all that so it wasn't always the same but I never had an ending problem transmission problem or anything the car ran perfect for the time I had it until the time I saw it to buy a 2012 Toyota Camry I bought it was the most reliable midsize car and it was in my price range I basically paid $1,500 for the Cobalt couldn't tell you how much for the exhaust repair the brakes calipers the bigger meeting you in the car but I got $2,500 for the car from a guy I was asking for $3,000 because it never had a problem I told him everything about it he said no problem how about 2500 I said you got à deal. We took the car to the thing to change ownership and all that other crap you know that cost a couple hundred dollars to do and that same day I went and picked up the Toyota Camry roughly 3 hours after I sold the Cobalt at 10:00 in the morning and I have not had any major issues with the Camry so far it has 179,000 MI no lights are on shifts good drives good can't complain just like I couldn't complain about the couple I still talk to the guy every now and again he still owns the car it has 393,000 MI I asked if he had any major issues except for you know normal stuff like changing the oil brake pads calipers stuff like that and he said nope he said it's been smooth never had a problem it's just right now I'm not driving it because I don't have a license cuz I ain't got a DUI in it but parade Chief and a compact car sure had a nice 393,000 MI no major breakdowns just your everyday upkeep I think I did pretty good for $1500 and I think he did pretty good for $2,500 I paid $7,500 for the camry and I just must be looking except I've had no music phones at either and I use it everyday for work and for if I need to go to the store or something like that but that's my story and that's why I give it a 5 out of five I've heard so many horror stories about to come off I think it's mainly because people don't keep the car correctly by you know changing the oil change in brake pads caliper struts all that stuff when they go to bed the reason my niece is cars agencies that was good she never changed the oil in it she drove it like 28,000 miles without ever changing oil in it and it seized up her engine that is but I had a good deal in the end.

They quickly responded when I inquired about the availability of one of their listings. Nothing more occurred between us because I chose not to pursue a deal.

It's unfortunate the previous owners of the recent reviews had terrible ownership experiences . I have used this car for nearly four years without a single problem. Fun to drive, very spirited, great gas mileage, and outstanding handling at highway speeds. At 95,000 miles, no squeaks, wind noise, or rattles. its still very solid. Would highly recommend if you find a well cared for one. My only complaint is you would be hard pressed to fit four ave. size people at one time. But on the plus side it can fit in small spaces.

I owned this car for 10 years (2013 purchased in 2012). Spent less than $3k in repairs over those 10 years. With regular oil changes and good tires reached 135k miles comfortably and quietly. Buying a new Equinox looking forward to another 10+ years

Bought new in January 2014. So far it's been a reliable car. It's been back to the shop twice in almost 11 years for a leaking transmission line & a emission issue. Other than two recalls it's been good. Of course, I'm only at 67,676 miles. Oh, I forgot I had to replace the front two struts. When it was wet outside while turning I would get some vibration. Dealer had a TSB on it, the cost was 1,500 dollars. But overall the car has been fairly reliable. It's been quiet, roomy, comfortable and has decent power.

This is a fuel efficient and modest car. It achieves 98hp has a 9 gallon tank and an automatic transmission. The LS has crank windows and old fashioned key-lock doors. You can haul a reasonable load in the back seat and hatch or even three other people, though it might be somewhat cramped. It appears to be designed for urban commuters, but I've driven it some decent distances and in all seasons now and it seems to up the challenge of all weather and (paved) terrains. The onboard technology (radio, backup camera, and internet connectivity--with Apple Play and Android Auto) is surprisingly good. Its small size makes it fit easily into small spaces. It was discontinued in 2022, so there should be parts for awhile and prices are coming down. If you need a second car, give this one some consideration.

Bought this used in 2019 w/65k miles. It's a solid A to B car, does what it needs to do, with little no to fuss. The interior isn't flashy, but rattles much less than most other entry level cars I've been in. Ride quality is commendable, a little lound (but I have a feeling that's more the fault of the budget brand tires the dealer threw on the car). But overall way better ride quality than a 2020 Trax I had as a loaner for a day (roughest car I think I've ever driven....and I've owed some really crappy econoboxes in my day). I've had one issue with the car thus far, the water pump went out on me, but hey, it happens. Been almost a year since and haven't had a single other issue with it. For the relatively small engine, this thing has some pep to it, but the transmission doesn't do it any favors and is the one negative about this car. The way it is geared is my one irritation. Its sluggish and downshifts aggressively making it obnoxious to drive in the city as it doesn't coast very well (in particular it downshifts hard from 4th to 3rd at 27mph and begins to engine brake, slowing the car down noticably), I usually just end up using the manual automatic so I can actually coast a city block to the next light. Overall, for the 10k I paid for the car, not too much to complain about. It's a safe, good driving commuter.
