I purchased a car 18 months ago from Goldstein Jeep in Latham. It was totally by chance that I ended up there to look at cars. I had been to several dealerships, as my lease was ending and needed a car. It was truly a wonderful experience . My salesman, Mike Davey was great. He listened to what I was looking for and what I wamted to spend. The whole sales team was amazing. Then I went on to work with the finance team that was also an amazing experience. You are THE CUSTOMER when you're buying a car at GOLDSTEIN. Your salesman doesn't move away from you to wait on another customer
It has been a year and a half since my Purchase and I walk in the dealership to have my car washed every few weeks and every single person says hello to me -every person that I encountered throughout my sale remembers me. I just had my first experience with the service department and I have to say I'm once again I'm amazed. I know I've use that word a lot but there truly is no other way to say it.
It must be an amazing place to work because every single employee that you encounter when you visit that dealership is happy.
This visit was for a factory recall and. it was handled very professionally and quick. Other visits for maintained issues were equally as satisfying. I purchased two other cars from Andi and she is wonderful, love her.
Carolyn was extremely knowledgeable and patient with me as I am not an easy customer. She was not at all the typical pushy sales person. I would strongly recommend her services. I am so happy with my car and my experience

Dave was great to work with and everything seemed low pressure for the most part. Biggest issue was their financing over ours. We were threatened with releasing our car back for other sales if we did not use their financing (as it would take too long to get a certified check form us). When we continued to assert that it was our bank or we walk, then the deal came through. I'm not sure if this was just pressure to close before the end of the month or only a standard finance maneuver. The rest of the buying experience from the test drive, through negotiations and final car pickup all went well. Nice variety of cars here to look at, but beware on financing pressures.
My wife and I were in the market for a new Willys in Gobi. We found a few but the dealers weren't too cooperative over the phone. When I got a hold of Main Motorcar, Steve Ross was very eager to assist us in the buying process over the phone. The dealership is a 4 hour drive from us in another state.
Anyway, after agreeing to the price, I worked with Dave to get the paperwork in order before we could drive out there during the upcoming weekend. When we got there, everything was perfect and ready to go. We were in and out of there in 45 minutes!
The best part was their honesty, no games. It's a small town dealership with folks who help you out by saying what they do and doing what they say. There was no "gotcha moment" that I've experience from other dealers who are trying to squeeze you for a few more bucks.
It was worth the drive!
The overall experience of buying a new vehicle at Stephens exceeded my expectations. Our sales consultant- Melvin Rucinski provided top notch customer service and his friendly demeanor made it worthwhile. The business director- Steven Musctare made the financial end of things very simple and quick. He provided thorough information on warranties. Lastly, the owner, Steve Rucinski greeted us with a warm welcome and gave us some additional information on the new jeep. I would highly reccomend the employees, service and facility of this dealership.
Very friendly and low pressure car purchasing experience. Stephens Chrysler provides a home town buying experience.
Staff was very friendly and easy to deal with. They took the time to listen to my requests for a lease and provided a deal no other local dealer could match.

Berney Brunza was great with meeting my needs. Choice was between 2 Ram 2500 Laramie models with low mileage. I bought my 2012Ram from Stephens but had been looking at dealerships closer to home. Decided Stephens wasn't that far if I could find what I wanted. Sure enough, between Berney, George and the dealership, I found what I wanted and could afford. Thanks guys!
Berney Brunza a very nice person, purchase a 2015 Dodge Ram with only 29,000 miles with cap. Truck was like new, Berney did his best and save me some money on a great deal with no pressure. Put on the dealer plates and told me to take for a ride. Truck was clean and ready the next day. I am coming back for a Town & Country van for my wife as soon as Berney finds me a clean used one. Several months ago, I purchased a new 2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited from Main Motorcar in downtown Johnstown. The exact model I was interested in was unfortunately not available for sale at the time I first inquired at the dealership. Fortunately, I was notified by my salesperson - Shannon - as soon as they could custom-order the vehicle to my desired specifications.
Ordering the Jeep was surprisingly fast and simple. I was provided with periodic updates as the Wrangler moved through the manufacturing process, too. I was given an approximate time frame for delivery and was pleasantly surprised when it rolled off the assembly line sooner than scheduled.
Just before my Wrangler was scheduled to arrive however, the Nissan I planned to trade-in suffered an apparently common electronic failure. I began working with the original Nissan dealership (not Main Motorcar) to fix the issue and was charged almost $1,500 for the repair. Days later, I found out the pricey problem was actually covered by a recall; frustratingly, the Nissan dealership refused to refund my payment. Only after a series of phone calls to the unhelpful big-city Nissan dealership was I told to call the Nissan corporate office for a resolution.
The folks at Main Motorcar were kind enough to step in and provide some much-needed assistance in dealing with the Nissan corporate office to help me obtain my refund for the now-recall-eligible repair. They were able to expedite the process with Nissan corporate... something the Nissan dealership refused to do.
Even with the trade-in difficulties, I was offered a fair value for the Nissan from Main Motorcar. Months later, I am extremely happy with my purchase as well as my experience with the staff at Main... who went out of their way to help make the purchasing and trade-in processes go as smoothly as possible.
Based on my experience, I have been recommending that my friends and family - and anyone who has asked about my car-buying experience - stop by Main Motorcar in Johnstown. They have earned a customer for life!
If you need a new car, be sure to see Mel Rucinski at Stephens. He spent over a week with us trying to find us the best car and deal to suit our needs. He was always friendly, responsive, and patient. When we finally believed we had made our decision, Mel hustled to pull all the paperwork together to make our transaction as quick and efficient has possible. When we arrived at the dealership, we discussed things further, and realized we were not quite settled on our choice. Despite all the work Mel had put into preparing for our transaction, he handled the situation with grace and class. In no time at all, he found us the right vehicle, and with help from the great team at Stephens, revised the paperwork, arranged a last minute mechanic's inspection-despite the late hour-and we drove away in the car that met our needs. We love our brand new Dodge Caravan, and could not have been more satisfied with the friendly and professional service from Mel and everyone at Stephens!
My wife and I had the best experience buying the 2015 Chrysler 200 this morning. From the first time we stepped into the building Tuesday until we drove away this morning the whole staff made sure that we were happy and pleased. The best I have ever felt leaving a dealership.
Would not recommend this dealership for used cars. They do not repair anything that is wrong with the vehicle before putting it on their lot for sale. The extended warranty is nothing but a farce. They find every reason not to cover the expense of repairing the vehicle. Would never buy another vehicle there.
