Bought this baby used with just 4700 miles on it. Mine is the 6-speed manual version, 4.0L NA flat 6. I LOVE IT!!! This car is so much fun to drive. I work from home so don't have a daily commute, but it's a blast around town and on weekends. Not sure I'd love it as a daily, with a longer commute or in traffic - but that's not my situation - and we have 2 other cars in the family for daily commuting and road trips (Tesla 3 & Audi Q7). Get one as a 2nd or 3rd vehicle and it'll put a smile on your face every time!

I came in to look at a 2018 Challenger. The first salesman I talked to was Sean. He took down my information and gave me the keys for a test drive. When I pulled back into the lot, I started going through the car. There was no sales pressure pitces at all and Sean pretty much left me alone so I could thoroughly look at the car. I slept on it and returned the next day. It was Sean's day off so Scott let me take it out for a final test drive. I liked the car and Scott walked me through all the paperwork. I've only owned my XK8 for six months, so I cannot speak to my own long-term experience, but I researched and followed these cars for four years before buying one. It's one of those cars you buy because you want one--bad. Jaguars, at their best, appeal to your heart. That doesn't mean you have to turn off your brain, though. I can say that my car was well-designed and well-built. It feels solid and tight and built to a high standard. I've owned mostly Japanese cars--Hondas, Acuras, and a Lexus, which I still own. These are not true sports cars; they are luxury GTs. That's important to note. I had a Honda S2000 before this--totally different animal. The X100 (XK8 and XKR, 1996--2006) is a heavy car--almost two tons, so even with a V8 under the bonnet, they aren't "fast" by today's measure. (The supercharged XKR is the way to go for those looking for more of that kind of thrill.) I gave my car a 5 for performance because to me it perfectly fits the bill for what it is. It's composed, quiet, and handling is capable, not corner-carving. The steering is precise but light. It does not wander on-center. The car is gorgeous inside and out, and the interior is bordering on sumptuous. The seats are the most comfortable and supportive for long trips I've ever owned, and I've had some nice cars. Mine is a Victory Edition final-year model, with the "soft-grain" leather interior. This leather is soft and supple but it wears really well. My interior looks new and my car has 52K on it. As for reconditioning and upkeep: these cars are all 20--30 years old. They will need this and that. Buy in the best condition you can find and you'll come out ahead financially over buying one that needs work. (Unless of course you're a skilled DIY.)

Bought the solera in 2008 and am very happy with the car / I have 140000 miles on the car and have had only minor maintance. This car will ultimately be a classic.

This is my first time buying a vehicle cross-country without ever seeing the vehicle. Drive Appeal did everything they could to assist me in the best way possible. They took extra photos for me, they added extra information in writting to further guarantee it's condition, and they provided a recommended shipping company and gauranteed a low shipping price. The only reason they are not getting a full 5 stars is that we were both a little frustrated with the process of buying a vehicle out of state, dealing with personal checks, and signing documents over the internet. All in all, they have made my transaction as easy as possible and I recommend them as a dealer. I have yet to receive my vehicle, and if I need to, I may adjust this review.

Don't listen to the GTR lover review, he hasn't a clue, just can't afford the R8 so settles for a GTR. My ecu was flashed with the v10 plus tune, will smoke almost anything out there, (including GTR's and Ferrari's) haven't lost a race yet and is a wonderful daily driver.

I bought this car used in 2012. Over 10yrs later and 214k miles she still rolling. I did have to replace power steering sensor last year and unfortunately it has to be reprogrammed in shop or would of saved chuck of money. My evap solenoid is giving me trouble but my heat my AC my radio my windows all work and I would buy a brand new one if I good. Lots of replaced headlamp bulbs over the years but once rewired it made much better

What a great car to drive. I beat on this 2ss constantly with absolutely no problems ever. As far as Evelyn and the blend door, you never have door issues if you don't drop pens or mascara and stuff down from the dash and jam it up. I haven't had one problem in 100,000 very very hard miles and 4 or 5 sets of tires. Overall an amazing fun car

2016 BMW 228i xdrive convertible. The best part: reliability. We are approaching 94k miles and we've had no issues with this car. It feels solid, which is remarkable for a convertible. Everything works just as it should with just routine maintenance. I have only three complaints: the sport seats are my number one complaint. The seat has great lumbar support and is supportive, but the side bolsters on the seat cushion are rock hard and hurt my hips. I have to use a pad to raise myself up a little to ease the pain. The 2nd complaint, and this is worth noting, in comfort mode the throttle can be slow to react. This is so bad it got me rear ended once because the car simply did nothing for several seconds when I pressed the pedal down. Sport mode cures this. Lastly, it requires premium gas. Ford and others get similar horsepower results with regular gas, so I think BMW should be able to also.
