Buying a New Car---Great Experience!

We're in our 70's and have bought a lot of cars over this timeframe . Many different dealers in a variety of places, so we've gleaned some insight into how the process works. Mostly one learns early on about the 'game'---the haggling on price, the oftentimes hidden costs of add-on's, the car salesman style that seems to go with the job. Eventually if you agree on all the variables, the interminable process of finally taking ownership begins.
I'll admit we've run into a couple of better-than-average dealerships in the past that put many of these traditional tenants to rest. However, our recent purchase at Deery Brothers in Burlington, Ia, was akin to stepping out of the dark and into the light. Jake Walker, Product Specialist, greeted us with a smile and shortly convinced us he had an immediate understanding of why we were there and what we wanted to see. His knowledge of the car we were after was very good, and although they didn't have the one we wanted, he assured us it could be found in a short time if our conversation concluded with a sale.
My wife and I were flabbergasted with the congeniality of Jake and Mike Gerst, Finance Manager, and the other couple of staff we communicated with while there. Everyone was--friendly!
We were treated fairly and amicably in all ways in the process of getting our new car, and the amount of communicating that ensued before and since with Jake is, in our many experiences, exceptional. They're not only selling a car, they are selling the Deery Brothers brand of doing business---that of complete customer care.
We have bought cars from Deery Brothers over the past 25 years or so and was satisfied each time, but as with all businesses that strive to improve their model, they have---a major plus for the customer. It is a pleasurable experience, and unlike the old days, the process is fast and efficient, made possible by congenial people doing a great job.
We look forward to our next car purchase in a few years with Deery Brothers and their fine staff.
