I have bought and leased cars from Al Smith since 1970; I don't even know how many it has been in that time, but for more than a decade in late 1990s and early 2000s we leased a new car from Smiths every 18 months. I have never had any problems with service, treatment, etc., and cannot recommend the dealership highly enough. In late 1970 I stupidly bought a car from a Chrysler dealer closer to home, and had numerous problems over the first few months; it had to be towed four times. Each time, the dealer was unable to fix the problem; they installed four new carburetors to no avail (seems someone with any knowledge would suspect the problem might be elsewhere). I mentioned it to someone from Al Smith's shop (I still had a car I bought at Smiths) and he put me in touch with a factory official who agreed to meet me at the local dealer from whom I bought the troublesome car. The offending dealer's service manager wanted to install yet a fifth carburetor and was abusive and argumentative with the factory official, until finally the official ORDERED the service manager to replace the onboard computer. I had no trouble with that car after that! I never set foot in the "local" dealer again, and have been with Al Smith since. I regret that I bought that one car elsewhere after already having had good experiences with Al Smith. I know Jim Smith well and knew his late father, Al, also. Both are men of integrity and honesty, and run (and ran) the dealership with those traits.

I literally traveled across the nation to find the Fiat 500x of my dreams - and I don't regret doing it. I knew I'd love the car, but after four days of cross country driving, I'm sure of it. The comfort is not to be understated, nor the quality of the ride. Add to that, the unique styling and beautiful interior (Brown leather on mine), and every trip is a pleasure.

The fiat 500E is a great little car to have for everyday errands and to dash around when you don't want to drive your other car. It can be your main car also but it's sure peppy and quick and is a great fun. My other car is a SL63 which is quiet different and guzzles gas and is nothing like this little car. Although the Fiat is more spacious and easier to get in and out of and I have no worry when I drive it around. I have really enjoyed this car and drive it way more than my other cars.

Fiat is the cutest car on the road today. You can't help check it out when it passes you on the road. I watch drivers turn their heads when they see a Fiat....especially a red fiat. Love this little car. Would love to dress it up in Disney Mickey Style. I highly recommend this FUN Car.

My husband told me about Carvana from a commercial ad he heard/saw. I laughed about it and said 'yah right, there's gotta be a hitch somewhere'. A few weeks later, he brought up Carvana again....curious, I decided to check it out online. The key words there was 'check it out'. I ended up buying a vehicle a couple hours later. Yeup, it was just like that. No hassle, no hidden costs or agendas. So after reviewing everything on the site, I started looking at minivans....I started falling in love with minivans....I started buying minivans....all through carvana. Once I locked in the one I wanted, I went through the credit process, documentation process, and pick up date (I chose pick up - because at this point, I still felt a little 'leary' about the whole deal'. It was so simple, and so honest, and so real. Over the course of the next 24 hours, all my submitted documents were approved and we just had two days to go to pick up the new mininvan. When we got to the store, it's not like a dealership with a lot, but it had three beautiful, well lit, very clean, showroom like bays that your vehicle is sitting in for your to do a complete inspection of it. It was very classy. Please note, our particular location does not have the car vending machine just yet. After passing our over check, I hopped in the car and drove it 65 miles home. She ran like a charm and I knew I had 7 days to decide if I wanted to keep her not. At day 3, although I loved her, she didn't have all the bells and whistles I truly wanted so that evening, I was back on the Carvana site, shopping for a replacement minivan....it's so easy to do when it gives you results based on your financial settings....I found the new 'her' a few hours later. I ordered her up and made the quick call explaining I was swapping and chose to have the vehicle delivered instead of going there to save time. The whole swap process took 2 days...they pulled up right to my house with my next new minivan. In my eyes, she was perfect, but I found a flaw before she was even off the truck. There was a huge bolt in the back tire. I was so disappointed. But Carvana took care of that so amazingly over the top.....they still brought her off the truck so I can check out the interior, test drive it, etc. We found a few more things that we felt should be fixed...minor things. Carvana took note of the items, and took the vehicle back on the truck but promised me (because I really wanted her that day) they would bring her back with a new tire....they kept their promise, three hours later she was back with a brand new tire, not one, but TWO brand new back tires. And they put an extra Carvana cup in the car for me. They swapped the minivans and off the old one went and there I sat with the new one. Smile ear to ear. I worked with Carvana on 6 items that we believed needed repair before committing to keep the vehicle. Carvana went above and beyond. I got an estimate for the repairs at a local shop, Carvana approved it, and within a few weeks, all repairs were completed through Carvana and I have the perfect vehicle, no hassle, no hidden agendas. And every person I dealt with on the phone or in person were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, FRIENDLY, HELPFUL, AND JUST THE BEST!! My Carvana experience was the absolute best. I will never go back to buying a car the old 'car dealership' way. And ironically, we had bought our other vehicle from a dealership just 3 months before being introduced to Carvana. I will give one warning about buying a vehicle through Carvana this way....it can be addicting..lol :-) Yes, I still shop Carvana cars every now and then....I don't even need a car, I just love seeing what Carvana has because it was sooo simple :-) Thank you Carvana for a trememdously wonderful experience.

My wife Gerri and I had just recently decided to explore different cars than we have been purchasing in the past. Our current car was a 2008 Honda Civic that we bought from a private owner about a year ago. There were a few minor issues we had started to experience with the car, so my wife and I decided that it may be time to look into a newer used vehicle. At first my wife suggested a Mini Cooper because she liked how "cute" it looked. I checked into it online and thought it might be a possibility. When I checked for a local dealer that had a Mini Cooper, Gator Chrysler in Melbourne, Florida popped up. I checked out the website looking for the "Mini" and did not see any. I did however, see that they had the "Fiat" models that had a similar look to the "Mini" but was a "taller" car. I started checking what they had and saw a nice used one that was two-tone black & silver and a 2018 model. I called the dealership asking to talk to a salesman. A very pleasant gentleman by the name of Michael Moore took my call. We had a quick conversation and I told him that my wife and I would stop by after work. We arrived and was greeted by Mike. We did a quick perusal of available Fiat used models. The one I saw online stood out the most. After opening the vehicle, we checked out everything and were very impressed. It was so sporty looking. Of course we both took it for a test drive and fell in love with it. Now the sticker said the car's MSRP was around 23K. We also were surprised that the mileage of the vehicle was only 5100 miles!!! Michael told us that the owner, Joe Kelly will put his best price for his used cars online. We were so happy to find out the car was listed online for just under 17K. Even though we were not actually ready to make a purchase yet, we could not pass up such a great deal. So Mike got all our information including what monthly payment were trying to achieve and how much down we wanted to pay. We also had them appraise the Honda to see how much they could give us on our trade. After a short wait, we were brought into the business office and were introduced to manager Maryann Higgins. It was evident from the start that this was going to be another awesome experience because Maryann was sweet and accommodating throughout the entire paperwork process. She expertly walked us through all the numbers and the available warranties. My wife and I were so pleased with the professional and friendly way both Mike and Maryann treated us. I consider both part of my "extended" family. We are absolutely thrilled with our 4-door Fiat 500L and look forward to many happy years of ownership. My wife and I highly recommend this dealership because of the high-caliber employees that are well represented by Mike and Maryann.

Good and Bad. We just bought a used 2014 500e with 28k miles. Dealers are currently offering nice pricing as many 2014's are coming off-lease and being turned in. We paid $7500 + tax. which seems very cheap for car that cost $30K a few years ago. The limited market and relatively high production volume keep the current resale value low. The car is blast to drive at lower speeds... It's very quick and can zip in and out of traffic lightning fast. It feels light, nimble and could probably beat many expensive sports cars up to about 60mph. If you install a 240v fast-charger in your garage and only commute in the city or shorter distances -- the car is fantastic. BUT If you have to travel over 25 miles on the freeway to work, I'm sorry to say the car is a joke. I simply would not recommend this car for commuting! The problem is that once you exceed 50mph, the battery charge diminishes shockingly fast, to the point where you may be scared you won't make it. It almost seems as though the car needs some kind of overdrive system because it uses tons of energy at 65mph, even with little throttle. In the city, it has regenerative braking to help recharge, but on the highway the motor eats battery power like crazy. The fully-charged "96-mile range" can only last about 40 miles at constant 65mph. If you commute on the freeway, you'd better have a fast-charger at work or you may not make it home.

Better than you expect!

Honestly, the test drive sold me on this car. I looked at cars that were $10k more than this, yet in comparison this car performed just as well or even better. Smooth acceleration, quiet ride, easy maneuvering, and a quality, polished interior. The infotainment system is also easy to use and has the up to date necessities like Bluetooth streaming, voice command, and satellite radio. The only downsides I've experienced is that it's got a small, not-so-versatile interior and the range is on average 100mi, so it's only ideal for short commutes. Overall a great performing car with a lot of personality!

I am a second-time Fiat 500 owner going from a 2012 Pop to a 2013 Abarth. I had decided to step up for the turbocharger, heated seats, beats audio and overall more premium feel of the car. I worked with my sales rep Brenden who was very friendly and professional and covered the features of the car and what came with it. He showed me the Carfax and what came with the car from the factory covering all the bases. Since it was not present when I showed up we looked at the 124 on the lot as they share an engine. We talked with David and he set me up with a test drive of the 124 to get a feel of the performance. I liked the feel of the interior and from the many pictures he was able to show me of the Abarth we moved forward with the deal. Brenden and Ben worked with me to complete the paperwork and Ben covered all of the optional warranty items and protection packages. One of my sticking points was that I had to get the lifetime warranty if I chose to go with the Abarth as I didn't want to have to hunt down electrical gremlins or fix a broken sunroof. He gave me some first-hand experience cases from some of the warranty and protection items to step me through how they worked and after looking at my options and pricing things out we went with just the Lifetime Factory Warranty. After sleeping on it however I reconsidered and spoke to Ben who was able to get me setup with the Auto Care package as well. The replacement for a lost key and especially the refinish/replace of a bent wheel are all but mandatory in MN. I also spoke with David and I let him know I was thinking about trading in my Pop. He reviewed my car and made a fair trade-in offer. I haven't decided if I will trade-in or not yet but David let me know my options and that the offer stands if I choose to return and trade-in the car. It's been so reliable I may try to keep it in the family. Overall the whole experience was a low stress and laid back shopping experience. Exactly what I was looking for over the President's day weekend.

Taking the Stress and Pain out of Car Shopping

Buying a car is stressful even if you have a lot of experience. Historically, it has been time consuming, emotionally taxing and most of us go into a dealership with far less knowledge than we ought for a purchase of the magnitude of a car. Salespeople have (understandable) pressures to move inventory and even the most fair-minded is looking to get the highest price they can get away with. It is harrowing at best. With my experience with Carvana, all of these stresses were eliminated. I browsed inventory as widely or narrowly as I wanted, for as long as I needed. I could dictate pricing ranges that were suitable for me. The car I received was *exactly* the car I examined online, right down to some inconsequential bumper scuffs. Beyond this, and *absolutely unlike* any other online business, I could speak to a *real human being* within a few minutes of calling (I had six or seven conversations with Carvana agents over the 3 1/2 weeks from car selection to car receipt). They either had the answers at hand, or researched them and replied promptly with a follow up call. Delivery coordination and drop off (and test drive) were *painless no pressure* experiences???all preparatory contract paperwork was prepared in advance leaving only title transfer stuff to take care of. It took 45 minutes, tops. (I transacted entirely in cash, so I cannot speak to the process when there is financing.) Honestly, the biggest delay was on *my* end getting the insurance transferred (having to wait on hold with my insurance company for 15 minutes). The car was 100% was described???absolutely no surprises. The images on the web site for my car were not stock images. What I saw was what I got. Naturally, it was clean, filled up with a full tank, with new tires and the whole nine yards. Even got a ???free??? Carvana reusable coffee cup and key chain. Nice touch. The part that I found the most extraordinary was the 7-day money-back guarantee, which pretty much covers a change of mind unless you get into an accident or drive it a ton (over 400 miles, and even then, they???ll take it back after a modest per-mile-over-400 charge). All in all, I was dreading buying a car (and selling my used one) and Carvana made it pleasurable. I am absolutely recommending them to all of my friends and coworkers and I hope (as a relatively new company) they keep up the excellent work.

Easy easy EASY way to buy a car!

My old car was my third minivan in 15 years. Now that my kids are older and leaving for college, I wanted something that could carry 6 or 7 passengers but was ... well... NOT a minivan. I did some research on late model used three-row SUVs, and found the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. (My favorite of my three vans was a 2005 Nissan Quest, so choosing Nissan was easy for me.) Before I started browsing for cars, I applied for credit through Carvana, and was approved. Next, I entered in all of the information about the van I was trading for the Pathfinder. (Beware -- the trade-in amount is only good for 7 days, and it can change wildly in that time!) I was pleased with the trade amount, and it was great that I could shop for my new car and see my down payment and monthly payment for every car I viewed! My specifications were pretty clear -- AWD, less than 10,000 miles, and never a rental car. I found my dream car a few days later, and started the purchase process. It was quite smooth and the directions were very clear about what documents need to be uploaded. When I went to click on "finalize purchase" (or something like that), a red flag popped up...my trade-in value expired WHILE I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF CHECKING OUT! I got on chat with Carvana staff right away, and they were able to return the trade in value to NEARLY what it was before the expiration. This is something that needs to be addressed by Carvana -- once a customer is to a certain point in the process, those numbers need to be frozen. So we set a delivery time, and the Carvana rep was pretty much on time considering he was traveling 70 miles or so from the Chicago office. Everything was smooth -- signed a couple more papers, took my Pathfinder for a spin, Eric inspected my trade, and I left within 30 minutes with my new car. I would also like to add that I drove directly to my mechanic, so he could inspect the car and make sure I wasn't buying something with hidden damage. Mechanic said to me, "This car is perfect, like new." Just what I wanted to hear. Thanks Carvana! I am telling everyone I know about you guys. Good to work with you! Janet - 2017 Nissan Pathfinder

We needed a new vehicle and we needed it right away. Despite knowing what I wanted I had walked away from 4 other dealerships before PM Standley because they'd rather play stupid games then sell me a car. When we got to PM Standley we were at peak frustration. We asked to see a car on their website, they quickly located the car, let us test drive it to our satisfaction, answered any questions or concerns we had (minor, superficial damage on the vehicle), and once we made a decision to purchase they moved us through the process as quickly as possible. Bert took great care of us, was very patient, friendly, and after being informed of our horrible experiences at other dealerships was great about keeping our frustration levels to a minimum. If you want to visit a car museum where everything is for sale, this is your dealership. The lady at the front desk showed off some cars to us and even started up a very nice Chevelle while we waited for the vehicle to get gassed up and inspected. They get a lot of classic cars and contemporary muscle in addition to the usual used cars, but they go overboard getting them cleaned up and presentable. They were more than happy to let us look around while we waited and went out of their way to point out and let us look over some of their more unique cars while we waited. If you want a no hassle knowledgeable sales staff to work with you, I recommend them. We will definitely be looking to them again in the future.

I live in the hills of Los Angeles. I can only go about 50 Miles to leave and get home. So if you have a daily commute that's short you will love the car. Battery is the problem!

I absolutely love my 2017 Fiat 500e. It has plenty of off the line power and great distance on a single charge. I have no range anxiety as long as I know my route. The Interior is roomy for 2 (not a great vehicle for 4). It has wonderful features such as Bluetooth and Navigation. I would highly recommend it!

My husband told me about Carvana from a commercial ad he heard/saw. I laughed about it and said 'yah right, there's gotta be a hitch somewhere'. A few weeks later, he brought up Carvana again....curious, I decided to check it out online. The key words there was 'check it out'. I ended up buying a vehicle a couple hours later. Yeup, it was just like that. No hassle, no hidden costs or agendas. So after reviewing everything on the site, I started looking at minivans....I started falling in love with minivans....I started buying minivans....all through carvana. Once I locked in the one I wanted, I went through the credit process, documentation process, and pick up date (I chose pick up - because at this point, I still felt a little 'leary' about the whole deal'. It was so simple, and so honest, and so real. Over the course of the next 24 hours, all my submitted documents were approved and we just had two days to go to pick up the new mininvan. When we got to the store, it's not like a dealership with a lot, but it had three beautiful, well lit, very clean, showroom like bays that your vehicle is sitting in for your to do a complete inspection of it. It was very classy. Please note, our particular location does not have the car vending machine just yet. After passing our over check, I hopped in the car and drove it 65 miles home. She ran like a charm and I knew I had 7 days to decide if I wanted to keep her not. At day 3, although I loved her, she didn't have all the bells and whistles I truly wanted so that evening, I was back on the Carvana site, shopping for a replacement minivan....it's so easy to do when it gives you results based on your financial settings....I found the new 'her' a few hours later. I ordered her up and made the quick call explaining I was swapping and chose to have the vehicle delivered instead of going there to save time. The whole swap process took 2 days...they pulled up right to my house with my next new minivan. In my eyes, she was perfect, but I found a flaw before she was even off the truck. There was a huge bolt in the back tire. I was so disappointed. But Carvana took care of that so amazingly over the top.....they still brought her off the truck so I can check out the interior, test drive it, etc. We found a few more things that we felt should be fixed...minor things. Carvana took note of the items, and took the vehicle back on the truck but promised me (because I really wanted her that day) they would bring her back with a new tire....they kept their promise, three hours later she was back with a brand new tire, not one, but TWO brand new back tires. And they put an extra Carvana cup in the car for me. They swapped the minivans and off the old one went and there I sat with the new one. Smile ear to ear. I worked with Carvana on 6 items that we believed needed repair before committing to keep the vehicle. Carvana went above and beyond. I got an estimate for the repairs at a local shop, Carvana approved it, and within a few weeks, all repairs were completed through Carvana and I have the perfect vehicle, no hassle, no hidden agendas. And every person I dealt with on the phone or in person were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, FRIENDLY, HELPFUL, AND JUST THE BEST!! My Carvana experience was the absolute best. I will never go back to buying a car the old 'car dealership' way. And ironically, we had bought our other vehicle from a dealership just 3 months before being introduced to Carvana. I will give one warning about buying a vehicle through Carvana this way....it can be addicting..lol :-) Yes, I still shop Carvana cars every now and then....I don't even need a car, I just love seeing what Carvana has because it was sooo simple :-) Thank you Carvana for a trememdously wonderful experience.

It’s great for commuting to work and back but can’t go too far due to the range being limited. The seats are somewhat comfortable, not too bad. There is virtually no leg room in the backseats. It definitely is for small kids only and no adults. Over all it’s great for a one to two person commute around town and work. Nothing more than that.

My old car was my third minivan in 15 years. Now that my kids are older and leaving for college, I wanted something that could carry 6 or 7 passengers but was ... well... NOT a minivan. I did some research on late model used three-row SUVs, and found the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. (My favorite of my three vans was a 2005 Nissan Quest, so choosing Nissan was easy for me.) Before I started browsing for cars, I applied for credit through Carvana, and was approved. Next, I entered in all of the information about the van I was trading for the Pathfinder. (Beware -- the trade-in amount is only good for 7 days, and it can change wildly in that time!) I was pleased with the trade amount, and it was great that I could shop for my new car and see my down payment and monthly payment for every car I viewed! My specifications were pretty clear -- AWD, less than 10,000 miles, and never a rental car. I found my dream car a few days later, and started the purchase process. It was quite smooth and the directions were very clear about what documents need to be uploaded. When I went to click on "finalize purchase" (or something like that), a red flag popped up...my trade-in value expired WHILE I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF CHECKING OUT! I got on chat with Carvana staff right away, and they were able to return the trade in value to NEARLY what it was before the expiration. This is something that needs to be addressed by Carvana -- once a customer is to a certain point in the process, those numbers need to be frozen. So we set a delivery time, and the Carvana rep was pretty much on time considering he was traveling 70 miles or so from the Chicago office. Everything was smooth -- signed a couple more papers, took my Pathfinder for a spin, Eric inspected my trade, and I left within 30 minutes with my new car. I would also like to add that I drove directly to my mechanic, so he could inspect the car and make sure I wasn't buying something with hidden damage. Mechanic said to me, "This car is perfect, like new." Just what I wanted to hear. Thanks Carvana! I am telling everyone I know about you guys. Good to work with you! Janet - 2017 Nissan Pathfinder
