I bought my Ford Contour SVT for about $1,000 and it was a steal. I learned how to drive manual in this vehicle. This car was the best front wheel drive vehicle for the winter with or without decent tires. The exterior looked newer than a 1998 in my opinion and a few friends of mine, for sure ahead of its time. Quick, easy, and fairly cheap maintenance on this vehicle. This was the best first car and I definitely got my moneys worth. The contour was replaced by the Ford Focus which is just as an amazing car! Highly recommend used Contour SVT and the Ford Focus.

This is my 3rd car I purchased from Ron Westphal Chevrolet. My experience has been nothing short of Remarkable and spectacular. Brian Crunican was my salesman and Bill Houlis did the final numbers. Brian showed me 3 different cars that I asked to look at. He was prompt and Courteous. He listened to my needs and I found the car of my dreams. I could not thank enough Brian and Bill for the unbelievable deal I received. I will strongly recommend anyone who is looking for a car to see Brian Crunican and Bill Houlis. Two of the best people you could deal with. Thank you again😊😊

Mohammad was great to work with. I had put a down payment on the car because I had to come from West Virginia to Chicago. I wasn't able to get there on time and I bought a car here in town. The deposit is normally non-refundable, but I didn't know that. Mohammad took care of me and credited my 100.00 to my credit card. I will definitely do business with them in the future.

The North Hills Auto mall team did a wonderful job by finding my family and i the vehicle we were really looking for and that was in the price range. We had a certain range we wanted to stay in and they got straight to the point when we arrived. They helped my family and i find the perfect fit that accommodated our needs. The sales people are truly professional and really care about your needs in a vehicle. Everybody there was great and if your looking for your next vehicle definitely don't waste your time anywhere else where they wont attend to your needs and waste your own time. We were looking for over a month and everywhere else they pressured us and didn't have anything that even came close to this dealership. Found the best vehicle for the best price. Check these guys out, you wont be disappointed!!!

I got a great deal on a used 2005 Pontiac Sunfire.
by Lauren from Dupont, WA
December 3, 2018
5 5 5 5 5 4.3 (8 reviews)
I bought a used 2005 Pontiac Sunfire two weeks ago from 507 Motorsports. Before I purchased the car, I had it professionally inspected for any issues (I paid $250 at Brown's Auto Care (nearby), to include a compression engine test - engine tests are expensive -- a regular inspection is about $100). The only issue that was found was a leaky oil seal. 507 Motorsports adjusted the price accordingly. One week later, I discovered that my windshield washer fluid dispenser wasn't working due to a huge crack in the reservoir. 507 Motorsports owner, Jason, tried to fix it for me for free with heavy duty epoxy, but there is still a small crack in it. He said that if I bring him a new water reservoir, then he'll fix it for free. I don't think that the car was sold to me with a broken reservoir (I checked it before leaving the lot, and the windshield washer fluid dispenser worked). After I bought the car, several people (snow tire installers, back-up camera installers, Brown's Auto Care - to fix the leaky oil seal) messed around near that area, and perhaps it was accidentally cracked. At any rate, I bought a car in good mechanical condition (the important stuff is working perfectly) with new tires at 507 Motorsports for a really good price, so I'm happy (I discovered that when I had my snow tires installed that my car came with new all-season tires). My recommendation is that if you are serious about buying a car at 507 Motorsports (or any used car dealership that doesn't offer a warranty/guarantee), it's best to pay $100 or so for a semi-thorough inspection at a nearby auto shop, and if something is broken, the dealership will work with you to fix it before you buy it because they want happy customers. Otherwise, go to a place that sells certified, warrantied pre-owned vehicles (you will be paying much, much more for the car than a measly $100 inspection) and buy your car there.

I have had my 1999 SVT Contour for about 2 years now and purchased it with 71,xxx miles now im at 110,xxx and this thing has been great! Being a car enthusiast i don't mind doing some of the maintenance this car requires IE: UMI cleaning, sunroof gear exc. Even after racking 40k miles on this car ive never had it break down, or give me any trouble mechanically. Now of course ive had to put money into it but its a 15 year old car, so struts wheel bearings, tie rods are always a given and its not the cars fault. MPG usually sits around 22 city and 27 highway, the car is an absolute BLAST to drive! Handles like its on rails and is pretty quick and will put a smile on my face every time i drive it. Overall i love the car and will keep driving it until it becomes a decently high mileage car!

I have been looking for a new car for about two months now and decided to look into a new Ford. A few weeks ago I was attending a wresting camp in Iowa and decided to conpare prices to those in Kansas. Ames Ford and Lincoln was one of the dealerships I looked at while I was in Iowa. I was blown away by the customer service. The business was very well organized and I received great support from the staff. One employee named Kerrigan, made my experience exceptional! He left a great impression of himself and Ames Ford and Lincoln. Although I did not buy a vehicle, Mr. Kohnen made my experience at Ames Ford and Lincoln exceptional. I would highly recommend looking into buying a car from this dealership.
One For the Money Two for the SHO

You cannot now, nor could you ever beat this car for the money. It's no BMW but its close, and don't forget to factor in maintenance, reliability, and parts replacement - if you factor those it, nothing comes close, literally. Its just quick enough and sounds like its going to eat its competition. All that at it gets better mpg's than its 328i counter part (which my girl friend owns). The handling, if you haven't checked, is bar none amazing. It leans just a little then bites HARD, especially with the right tires, heck, it'll almost pull 1 G stock. The Chassis up front is as stiff as you could possibly ask for, outback, it could use a strut tower brace or something, but nothing to be ashamed of or worried about. The exterior is delicious to me, but thats all subjective, but I'd argue with you if you told me the butt of this vehicle wasn't beautiful. The seats are supportive and never get hot spots on long trips. I have to admit though that the ergonomics are simply sufficient, they aren't anything to compliment. You will notice there is no center arm rest (but you can get one out of a Mistique in a junk yard for 20 bucks). One compliment I must make though are the back seats! If you miss the chance to just briefly sit in them - your life shall be incomplete, automakers take note please! Those 1 G turns couldn't dislodge you. For 99 the features in this car were decent, Everything power, CD Player, Sunroof, Leather. There are 3 things this car has as far as features go that no one has, not even BMW - a tiny engine with huge muscles for its size (in fact it beat the M3 for hp per liter, and here is the kicker to me... not just 4 sensor ABS, like every car, but a specific Bosh ABS control computer WITH 4 sensors AND Channels. Even here in 2010 most cars have 4 sensor 3 channel ABS, which means your rear tires are pumped together, not independently. Lastly but most importantly 4 wheel vented disks - and not tiny ones either, try to get these to fade on the road ... you're a liar if you say you did. Overall value - there is no argument against it.

These folks know cars

I could go on about the deals, the customer service, the convenient location, the hassle-free buying process, etc. But that wouldn't do Davis Chevrolet the justice is deserves. Too often in this world of selfies and Kardashians we forget about the things that truly matter: people and cars. And folks, let me tell you, Davis Chevrolet has the people. And boy, do they have the cars. A gentleman named Stephen gave a truly virtuoso performance as my trusted companion throughout the car buying process, with his wide-ranging knowledge of the vehicles, warranties, and technology and stuff that every car buyer deserves to have at his disposal in order to make an informed decision. Family is a culture that cannot be easily replicated, yet the folks at Davis Chevrolet have managed to do exactly that, while welcoming me as one of their own. I cannot imagine a more perfect marriage of man and machine than what I received at the end of my Davis Chevrolet experience, and for that I will always be grateful.
Not as Special as it should be...

I owned an SVT Contour and I was not impressed at all with the reliability of the car. Anything that could have gone wrong did go wrong. The High Output engine requires Premium gasoline which nowadays is not very economical. The high end power, the handling abilities and the overall look and comfort were top notch though, easily rivaling the BMW and Audi models that are in the similar class. However, $18,500 for a 10 year old car that was originally $25,000 is asking way to much. Look online, you can find these cars priced around $10K to $12K.

Four cars written down
by Leo Fitts from burgettstown, pa
December 7, 2018

We went to this car dealership with four vehicles written down that were in the running for a potential vehicle. The salesman that helped us really took the time to listen to what we were looking for. After walking the lot and looking at many cars, we decided to test drive five cars. We picked a Subaru Legacy. The whole car buying experience here was easy because they walked us through the buying and financing process. That further helped us understand everything better and made us feel more comfortable buying the Subaru.

Bought the vehicle 1 year old in 2000. It's a 1999 Contour SE. It was a used rental car (if I didn't know this, I never would've guessed due to the great reliability). It is equipped with three options, automatic, ABS, and 15in 6 spoke alloy wheels. The inline-four cylinder engine has little power, but decent for crusing and FLAT areas. At times, if you let off the accelerator in the right place, you can feel the entire vehicle shake (this is because of the unimpressive four-speed auto transmission preformance). The chassis isn't that strong, as is reflected over moderate-severe bumps. All that aside, this vehicle is great fun and surprisingly agile through corners. The steering is precise, nicely weighted, and has good tracking. The fuel economy is a nice surprise as well. I average in the higher 20s in a city/highway mix! Be sure to get a Contour with anti-lock brakes. Speaking of brakes, while they're nothing to brag about, but you get a short travel, they're relativly linear, and they are responsive. The front cloth/velour bucket seats are comfertable, and the low cowl make seeing the road easy. The interior design is pleasent, but the "foam" top dash warped. The rear seat is also comfortable, but legroom is tight. This is a great sporty, reliable, good-on-gas economy car! Recommendation: If you're looking for a little car with a relativly roomy front seat, won't need the back eccept for occational use, want to have a little fun, and be safe (all Contours have dual front air bags, and ABS is optional, Traction control is on some as well), then the Contour may fit your needs well.

I always have a great experience at Lithia Honda Service Center. The service representatives are very helpful and clear when explaining what your car may need and how much it will cost. They will also tell you honestly when something does not need to be done and if certain things can be put off and done at a later time. I feel like the repairs have been high quality and I know I can trust the technicians and staff. I'll definitely come back.

I had a manual contour in high school and I loved it. It was fun to drive and fairly reliable. I bought it used with 300,000 ish miles on it. It had it's problems when I got it. I had to replace the alternator twice in the first 3 months I had it. Nobody could seem to tell me why, but I didn't have to do it again in the 3 years I owned it. Aside from that, I had no real issues other than a cracked oil pan. By the time I got rid of it, it was nearing 390,000 miles.

Another excellent maintenance visit experience
by ADEVELL from DealerRater.com
December 3, 2018
5 5 5 5 5 4.7 (2050 reviews)
As usual, Corwin Ford was extremely accommodating and quite diligent with a recent maintenance visit. Despite having a full schedule, Team Corwin squeezed my vehicle in on a Tuesday. Upon arrival Tuesday morning, they rushed my vehicle into the shop, as they were aware I planned to wait for the vehicle in their customer lounge area. The relatively large and comfortable lounge area made it easy to catchup on a little work. Less than three hours later, the vehicle maintenance was completed, along with a complimentary carwash. And a shout out to Junior, who was an extremely courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful Service Advisor, keeping me apprised of findings and status throughout the morning. The maintenance visit was to address a recall notice and a surprisingly overwhelming mildew odor in a two-month-old F-150. After a little research, the mechanics determined the most probable cause was the a/c evaporator. They subsequently addressed the issue with an a/c cleaner and deodorizer treatment. Although there remains a residual mildew/deodorizer combo smell, it is a significant improvement compared to the odor prior to the treatment. My clothes, computer bag, computer, phone, and various passengers appreciate it. If I was a passenger in an Uber car with this smell, I would not hesitate to give the experience a 2 or 3-star rating. Hopefully the treatment keeps the mildew odor at bay for years to come. I must admit, thus far, I???m a little disappointed in the 2018 F-150 Platinum compared to my previous 2016 F-150 Platinum. The musty/mildew odor, the less intuitive change in cruise control buttons (a personal preference), discontinued multicolor ambient lighting, the black wood like plastic interior trim vs. the previous (classier, "platinum" fitting) glossy walnut like wood trim, to mention a few disappointing points. On a positive note, it has been a pleasure working with Team Corwin to resolve issues that can be corrected.

I've owned the prefacelift and post facelift contour and the post wins in every aspect. It ain't perfect but it usually gets you where you need to go. It has the 2.5 L duretec with 170hp, the trans is alittle clunky but that is to be expected of a car of 202,000 miles. I have replaced something's but it's an old car so whatever.

OK car, but thats the problem, just OK
by a reviewer from US

PROBLEMS: So far, struts have gone, headlights became uneven, part of back of rear-seat popped out, trunk stuck shut trunk latch inside the car sticks, a/c doesn't work, driver's side key lock won't work, passangers key-lock sticks sometimes, passanger seat control panal fell off so you have to fit it back together to put the seat up or down, windows are slightly off track, part of the rear window defroster has stopped working, ABS motor comes on when to full potential when it shouldn't and doesn't when it should usually, the fuel pump went, and the check engine light is almost always on. The strange thing is that the car has been taken very good car of, cleaned all the time and oil changed when it should, gas tank usually above 1/2 tank, very well maintenenced, and probably over 75% of the miles we put on the car are highway miles. We were lucky that the problems were usually spread out somewhat. EXTERIOR/INTERIOR: Good side, car looks good, scratches on it usually stay surface scratches, and rust isn't a problem. Inside, the seats and design are very confortable, even with cloth seats, it is a confortable seat to be in, the only problem is that the head rests feel like wood. Also, its either confortable front seat leg room or rear-seat leg room, not room enough for both. The overall design is good, easy accessibility to things, the power window passanger lock only works for the rear passangers, not the front passanger, which is a problem with kids that like to play with the windows. The power locks are completely power, meaning that even on the door, where if you need to manually open the door lock if the car electricity fails, is power, you press on it, the power takes over and moves it for you, so you can't manually unlock or lock the locks, so if you are inside the car and it is locked and the electricity fails, you can't unlock the doors. Also, for the driver and front passenger, if the door is locked, and you go to open the door, the lock automatically unlocks for you, a very big problem with kids that need to sit in the front seat as there aren't any kid locks in the front seat. The car was purchased used, so it is possible that the car wasn't taken car of before we purchased it, and that usually, these problems wouldn't exist. Overall, I wouldn't purchase this car if I could go back in time.

Good Reliable Car

We bought this car when it was one year old. It has been a great car for our family of four. We have had very few problems that required us to go in to have it fixed. It now has almost 80,000 miles on it. We have been quite consistant with maintenance. The only problem we have had was that at about 70,000 miles the "check engine" light came on and we have had it in on the "computer" at the mechanic and he replaced the thermostat and some other little part. It came on again and they can't figure out why. But, other than that, I think it has been about the best, most reliable car we have ever had. A feature that I wish it had was a way to make the air conditioning not just to go the vents but to the floor also.
