From start to finish, Tim Staggestad and his GM, provided me with a customized experience like I have never seen during other car lease or purchase processes. They delivered on every promise and every deadline; and in the end, I can say I made a couple new friends!
Vroom rushed me thru the process of purchasing a vehicle from them. Had strict requirements of receiving payment within 48 hours. I was rushing my loan department to get my paperwork completed ahead of other customers in fear of losing the vehicle I wanted to another buyer. The loan paperwork and a check had to be overnighted to Vroom to meet their qualifications. THEN CAME TIME FOR THEM TO GET THE THINGS I NEEDED TO ME!!! I HAD TO REPEATEDLY ASK ABOUT THE ARRIVAL OF MY TRADE IN TO THEIR FACILITY (which they kept telling me for 15 days that it hadn???t reached their facility??!! Yeah right)!! THEY DRUG THEIR FEET ON SENDING THE PAYOFF OF MY TRADE IN SO LONG THAT THE 15 Day PAYOFF THEY WERE QUOTED EXPIRED AND I HAD TO PAY THE DIFFERENCE FROM MY OWN ACCOUNT!! I WAITED 26 DAYS TO RECEIVE TITLE PAPERWORK!! BUT THE PAPERWORK THEY NEEDED FROM ME HAD TO BE SENT WITHIN 2 BUSINESS DAYS!! YOU SHOULD GIVE AS GOOD AS YOU EXPECT, VROOM!! I HAD TO KEEP REQUESTING A REFUND OF THE $500 THEY CHARGED TO MY CREDIT CARD TO HOLD THE VEHICLE FOR A WEEK!!! LASTLY, the 2nd person I dealt with following the sales person was RUDE.
Josh guided me through the process of buying a CX5. His knowledge of the car and the range of options was excellent and his patience was endless. He was really busy on a Saturday with a lot of customers but he gave me all the time I needed and provided all the information I asked for and a whole lot more. His professionalism was a real contrast with some sales people at rival dealerships.
We bought our 5th or 6th vehicle from HOF and had a pretty good experience. It is always a challenge to meet on price but that seems to happen at all dealerships. Our salesperson was kind enough to bring the final paperwork to our home since we were unable to get to the dealership during their regular hours. (We live 2 miles from them.) If you need a vehicle ask for Raj- he delivers old style customer service like courtesy phone calls and he always follows up on email.
The employees are awesome! They worked out a price for me in the car I REALLY REALLY wanted, and that alone made me feel a lot more comfortable. I was actually praying that they were not going to tell me, "Sorry, we can't give you a better price but, we can put you in a different car." No one wants to hear that, especially if you have your heart and mind made up on specific one. The sales professional that helped me went out of his way to get me the car and knew a lot about the car I was buying. Thanks for making it fun and easy to buy a car.
My wife called ahead to see if they did in house finance and someone at the dealer told her yes. I drove all the way from Federal Way to see this truck and when I get there they say they don't. Thats the only reason I made the trip. The truck was in awesome shape and the people were pretty nice but it just felt like a waisted trip.
I was in the market for a used Acura MDX and had contacted several dealerships who did not respond timely. Don at Automax was very helpful and ensured the vehicle had the options I wanted, even if that meant adding a desired item. They even accepted my trade in for a very fair price. The financing dept worked with my expectations and although I have good credit, the rate was lower than what I expected. Very good transaction.
Pretty good buying and service experience, so far.

Salesperson was reliable and returned calls. He helped with setup. The buying process and meeting with the closer took a few hours. She pulled out all the stops to get me to buy the extended warranty and paint protection. I declined, then suddently everything was half price, then I declined again and got a bit deeper discount. This is frustrating and I'd prefer to be quoted a fari price with 20% markup rather than offered something for 300% cost theny get it for a decent price only because I bargained and would not get ripped off.
Service department folks were nice. The waiting area is no frills, very different from the BMW dealership, but that's ok.
Amazing place, I didn???t feel rushed or forced in any decisions, they answered all questions clearly and thoroughly. And I feel confident in my decision. They were so very helpful and kind.
