Dear Bickford Ford, My wife and I have purchased 8 dealer sold cars over the past 45 years without a lot of love for the process or sales folks. Our latest car purchase of a 2025 Bronco Sport from Bickford Ford however was an exceptional experience all around. We had not planned to purchase a car but were in the neighborhood and simply stopped to see a Bronco Sport up close. We ran into Mike Mauer as he was heading out the sales office door. He asked if he could help us in a non-sales polite manner. We said we were interested in learning more about the Bronco Sport but were just looking. Mike was very accommodating with no sales hype or pressure. He is very genuine and knowledgeable. Based on our experience that day we went ahead over the following week settling on the trim package we wanted as Mike tracked down several options. Communication was excellent through e:mail, phone calls, and texts. We are from Chelan and had business in the area over two separate weekends. Mike found the specification we wanted in the Puget Sound area and even picked up the car himself when we returned the following Monday. The entire process was well prepared and faster than we had ever experienced – no “let me talk to my manager” back and forth. We traded in two vehicles as we were downsizing to one car. Mike under-promised and over-delivered in accommodating our selection and taking in our trades. Again, no sales hype. Just a great guy with integrity, sincere communication, and great follow-through skills. We were also impressed with the cleanliness and organization of the facility as well as the efficiency of the accounting and finance team. People seemed happy to be working there. Awesome car for my daughter-doesn’t feel big or small-it just happens to have lots of room and be easy to maneuver. Love it…feels like a safe car for a younger driver as well as a fam!

If you plan on buying a ford edge from 2017, or anywhere between 2015-18, I implore you to make sure that you buy a used one. Why, because if it has over 100k miles on it, there's a good chance it had a good gen 1 engine in it or already had the cracked gen 1 engine in it replaced with a new gen 2 engine in it that won't crack anytime soon. This is a known problem with the ford edges and other models that come with that specific first generation model inline 4-cylinder between the 80k-100k miles marker, Ford knows about it and a recall should be issued but they won't be doing that anytime soon. So, if you by a ford edge with under 60k miles on it like I did, immediately purchase the 50k miles powertrain warranty at designated ford dealer, and if the car is a CPO get the 100k miles warranty no matter what the miles on it currently are, you no idea if the engine you got is going to crack, so make sure you get the warranty plan that will cover replacing the engine and anything else that goes wrong with the needed number of miles to cover the 80k-100k miles marker; my edge almost made it to 100k miles before it cracked. And because the new engine put so much back pressure on the old transmission, the engine killed the transmission, so I got that replaced too! $205 deductible later, and I essentially got an entire new car, I'll drive the thing till the wheels fall off at this point.
