It was worth the trip to Tracy

If you're looking for a car, we (my wife and I) highly recommend Tracy Ford. We live in Emeryville, but were willing to travel a little bit to get a good deal. On the first weekend of August we bought a Certified Pre Owned 2015 Ford Escape Titanium and we have nothing but praise for everyone we dealt with.
The salespeople we initially dealt with, James and Luis, were straightforward about finding a vehicle that met our needs. The General Sales Manager, Joe Snelling, was equally upfront about the financing options and really worked it to get a rate that we could live with. If you've ever been on the lower end of the FICA score card, you know how it feels to be summarily dismissed. Although my FICA score has seen better days, and believe me it has seen MUCH MUCH better days, Joe was able to make it happen and did so in a very respectful manner. That in itself meant a lot. Thank you James, Luis, and Joe.
During the paperwork portion of the show, we dealt with Chris. He was fast, yet thorough, but more importantly, he was accountable and made himself available to satisfactorily answer any questions we had. Money is money and all the things you are confronted with add up. Avoiding "buyer's remorse" is a lot easier when you eliminate the unknowns. Thank you Chris.
Lastly, the Service Department at Tracy Ford seems to bear the brunt of a lot of negative commentary. Having worked in the automotive industry, I know all too well that there are many legitimate complaints. Any business worth a xxxx takes customer dissatisfaction seriously. For us, dealing with the Service Department was the final hurdle to clear in order to have some semblance of peace of mind. Although I was an hour late for my service appointment, David Corona was a total pro. Working with the sales department, he was able satisfy an issue that we felt had been overlooked, but hadn't discovered till after we drove off the lot. I don't know how many other dealerships would have been as accommodating. But I can attest that Tracy Ford made it right. Thank you David.
Obviously communication with the right people is paramount to ensuring a positive car buying experience. I truly believe these folks are committed to making things right and are responsive to their customer's needs.
I'll admit there was some apprehension going into this purchase. We had seen some extremely negative posts and were suspicious; however, we had read just as many positive testimonials and were willing to see for ourselves. As far as our own car buying experience is concerned, we have had nothing but first class, thoughtful and sincere professional treatment at every level of this dealership. They stand behind their product and continue to go out of their way to ensure our satisfaction.
