I contacted Clay Maxey Ford through cars.com. They promptly responded and I started a line of communication with Blake Scott about purchasing the vehicle. It was over an hour drive from my house to the dealership, but it was well worth it. The purchasing process was very trouble free and I am very happy with my truck and the service they provided.
Meets or exceeds expectations

The truck is everything I wanted. I'm looking to tow a large trailer/5th wheel and the diesel engine will pull strong without complaining. People comment on it's good looks and the leather interior is well done. The only complaint I have so far (6 months in) is the points of interest finder (gas stations, restaurants, etc) does not update as you drive down the road. It finds the closest places which may be behind you and doesn't continually update as you travel down the highway. It does give you current prices which is nice.
The diesel engine is strong and surprisingly fast for a truck this size. No worries about merging on the highway or passing slower vehicles. At 65-70 mph it averages nearly 20 mpg.
In the last three years have went to Clay Maxey Ford for service three times. Left angry the first time and a little upset another. Today I went for the Ford Works service and Computer Flash as I installed a oem remote starter. I left totally happy. I was at the point of thinking about timing service on my truck for trips up north to see family but their service department today (rep. Haley Estes and the service manager) changed my mind about This dealership. I will be having my future service done there and they have a customer for life as long as they give me this type of service.
Bought to use as a plow truck.

So far so good. A few issues with some warning lights but I have them all off except the airbag light. Just came on randomly.
Dropped my car off for Transmission repairs and it was done in 4 hours. Customer Service Department communicated with me the entire time and on top of that my car was clean as a whistle when I picked it up. Will buy from them as soon as I need a new vehicle. 5 Star
I love my truck!

The only complaint I have is the truck I purchased has the snow plow prep package but a regular rear end not a locking axle. I think a little more thought should go into what the truck needs depending on the package it has. Other than that I love everything about my truck!
After sharing a car for almost a year (with two kids), my fiancé and I were in desperate need of a vehicle with not a lot of money. We ended up going to Clay Maxey, and from start to finish they worked with us! They treated us just as important as people who were looking at $60,000 vehicles. I have nothing but good things to say about Clay Maxey Ford in Harrison. Thank you especially to Sean Shoemaker and Bill Thomas for your service, respect and humbleness.
2015 F250 6.7l lariat 4x4

Come check this clean 2015 F250 Lariat 4x4 with sunroof ! It's a beast! No DEF required. Fuel and go! 5 stage switch on the fly, 35" tire on RBP Assassin 20"12.5 wheels.
The service was supreme as always but the customer service could use some fine tuning. This was the first time we had experienced the run around from the people behind the service desk but Ms. April would always shoot straight and the guy in her place now was not there to please the customer just to get the customer out of his hair. We was told that the injectors would be there on Thursday because they were out on Wednesday but on Friday afternoon the injectors were still not there except for one new one. The service guy needs to not story to the customer but the service itself was great and the problem was fixed but the hold up was the folks behind the desk.
Worst vehicle ever

Just one year old. Battery died(YES everything was off). You cannot get the the door locks to unlock the back seat door(where my jump box is). Thought I would use a solar panel designed to keep batteries charged. Truck is run for 8 days then sits for 6. Guess what some "engineer" designed the truck so none of the aux power outlets work when the truck is turned off(great idea (sic)). The cruse control is a pain in the rear to operate(steering wheel controls are NOT user friendly). If you program a "My Key" you cannot modify without the master key. You do not teed it to program(STUPID). The hands free almost never works( voice comes on and says"you have an incoming call press 1 to answer" NOT hands free. Who designs a 4X4 truck with manual hubs in this day and age, but has an electric lock on the tailgate. I you want to use the front center cup holders with the center jump seat down, you have to remove the headrest from the center console then try to find someplace to store it, I recommend the trash. Took a rock in the windshield when the truck was 4 months old, The new windshield would not seal. After the company replaced twice, it was determined that the windshield opening was not the correct shape, it took tripling the sealant to get the windshield to seal. In the 70's I was a diehard Ford fan but now they are garbage. I would not recommend Ford to my worst enemy.
Just in for oil change and a couple of technical recalls. Fast efficient service. Very pleased.

This is a real truck - compared to my previous 1/2 ton.. handles well. Fair mileage, brute strength for towing my travel trailer. Good fit and finish. Only have had it for 3 months. Also handles well in snow

Best diesel I've ever owned

6.7liter diesel engine is beyond quiet and powerful. This motor will literally throw you back in the seat at half throttle. Gas mileage is average at 18mpg. Turning radius is awesome for a 4 door crew cab. The interior is quiet and everything from the control center to the a/c to the Sync media center is very easy to use. Tons and tons of room in the front and back seats. I can fit 6 grown adults comfortably in my truck. The backup camera I have takes a little getting use to but is super helpful in backing up to trailer. I'm glad I made this purchase and hope this vehicle lasts me a lifetime.
I purchased car a from Hudsbeth years ago, was not happy, so when i decided to trade up I went somewhere else, I was shot down unless I had a down payment. I went to Clay Maxey just to look, Stacy King came right up to me and even after I told him I was shot down at another lot he wanted to see what he could do. Well he did an awesome job, I left with something better than what I expected. Process was easy. Very very happy. I think when buying a car you have to have a good salesman, and I had the best. Stacy King was fun to deal with, and has helped me even after buying which I think is great. He didn't just push me aside after his job was done, he is still making sure I am happy and I think that is awesome. They'll definitely get my business when I am ready to trade up again. Clay has definitely made this a much better place.

Very nice truck except for rusty bumpers

I really enjoy my F250 it pulls great but quality control with their chrome on both the bumpers is horrible I have rust coming through after 2 months of owning the truck FORD won't fix it I'm not made of money!!!
I bought a truck from Clay Maxey and they were very helpful and easy to do business with. I highly recommend.
Excellent styling and comfort on Lariat model.

Heavy duty truck ride is moderately bumpy but highway travel is smooth. 6.2l motor is adequate power for towing vs 6.7l diesel, if you don't want the additional maintenance costs associated with the diesel engine. The upgraded Lariat package is worth it for the seat comfort, heated and cooled as well, and all additional appearance/comfort features. Handles very well for a large truck and the mpg is actually better than my previously owned F150 ecoboost. The safety rating was definitely a plus for purchasing this truck. Love this truck, would only trade it for a new one!
This is the second vehicle we purchased from Clay Maxey and we are more than satisfied! We purchased both thru salesman Stacy King and he always returned calls if he wasn't available to talk to. We returned for the second purchase because we were so satisfied with the way we were treated the first time. Stacy went above and beyond to get us the best deal and was good to his word. As a company, I was impressed that they treat each person just as important as the next whether you are there for a brand new one or used. They don't act like they already have a buyer for each car, they treat you as if they have a car for each buyer. If they don't have what you are looking for they will find it for you. They deal bottom dollar and take each offer seriously, so there isn't a lot of price haggling. That's important to us. We've also used their service department (oil changes, tire rotation, minor fixes) and they are very friendly, affordable and thorough. Great addition to the Harrison area!!
Love it so much I'm buying a new one.

Same 6.4 failures yet consumer pays for it !
by Ford 6.4 garbage from San jose CA
December 11, 2018
Factory issues with 6.4 with every truck but yet comsumer gets screwed and has to pay for the all the repairs needed . I need a new motor . I think at this point I will install a 12v cummins .Why would I put the same piece of xxxx motor back in truck . Makes no sense to put another motor that will fail . I will not pass it on to some other consumer as the dealer did to me .
I had an F-150 for 12 years that ran forever with over 150k on it. Unfortunately I was rear ended at high speed and bent the frame. I found my 2005 Ford F-250 Diesel a couple of weeks later. The pulling power is amazing, it does take some gas as mine is lifted but it looks amazing for a 2005. I have 134k on it and it has so much more to go. Keep it serviced and you will absolutely love this truck. I will not let her go until she does not drive anymore. My 6.0 Powerstroke is amazing. Remember to plug her in the winter and you will have no problems.
