I could not have had a better buying experience than I did last evening working mostly with Ken but also with Mike, the sales manager. I went in knowing exactly what I wanted and how much I was willing to pay, and they really, really listened. They weren't pushy or dismissive. Ken was attentive, fun to talk to, professional, and respected my need/desire to be practical vs frivolous...and Mike worked his butt off to get me the numbers I felt comfortable with in order to sign on the dotted line for the best car I could afford (and boy was I pleasantly surprised!). They offered me a tremendous deal.
Also, Brad, their finance guy, took the time even before I came in to discuss my credit and FICO score and help assuage my nerves about the credit inquiry. I take my finances and credit very seriously and try hard to keep them positive.
The vibe of this place is quite special, too. My local VW dealership is intimidating. You get the sense that they prefer to sell their top-of-the-line premium cars only. They weren't willing to offer as fair a price on my used trade-in. But York Volkswagen has more of a warm, fun, family feel.
I'll be recommending my VW-loving family and friends come here from now on, even though it's quite the drive for them, to buy their next new car.
