My 2019 370z Purchase Experience
July 31, 2018
I had dreamed of owning a Z since I was 15. My grandfather said he’d get me one (back then it was the 300ZX) if I got straight A’s. Unfortunately I fell way, way short of straight A’s and he ended up getting me a used Toyota Celica instead. Not bad but still not a Z. Anyway, 27 years later and now I can afford one on my own. I wanted white with a manual transmission and I found one at Maus Crystal River. I called ahead to let them know i was coming (I drove from Orlando) to see it. When I pulled into the lot the car was right there in front- I was sold right then but couldn’t let Travis (our sales guy) see my excitement. He came out, greeted me, handed me and my girlfriend the keys and said “take as much time as you like”. I was pleasantly surprised by this as I expected he would have to ride with me on the test drive. Anyway, we drove around the area for a few miles and of course the car was everything I imagined. We then sat down and talked numbers- I already knew what the price was because I was told over the phone earlier that day. I knew it was a great price bc it was within a few dollars of another dealership I had spoken with. Anyway, once we figured out what my down payment would be we arrived at a price that was better than expected. I never felt pressured which was important to me but I also felt comfortable there as the facilities were nice and modern and clean. There were no cheesy gongs to bang when someone got a sale, no balloons, no gimmicks, mascots etc. When you are about to spend that kind of money you want a pleasant environment and that’s what this was. They detailed my car as I signed my paper work and once that was over it was finally the moment I had been waiting a lifetime for. Travis handed me the keys to MY 370Z! Mine! We shook hands and then we started the 2 drive back to Orlando- the best two hour drive of my life. So, bottom line, if you want to be treated right, and get a great deal then you may was well drive to Crystal River to check them out. Ask for Travis Brooker and he will do you right.
