3 Pilots, 3 dealerships

My husband and I picked up our third pilot this past weekend and it was our best experience with Honda. We called ahead of time and spoke with Shane and Mike at Parkway to let them know what we were looking for. When we arrived at the dealership Saturday morning our new pilot was parked in front of the dealership and waiting for us. In about an hour we had an agreement for the trade in on the pilot we owned (we had equity in the trade), the paperwork was signed, we had keys in hand and received personalized education on the functions of the car. Our 10 and 12 year old children had an area where they could hang out and stay busy while we were working with Shane and Mike. We have been using the Parkway service department since our first Pilot purchase in 2013 and have always loved this dealership. This past weekend was our first experience with the sales/finance team and they were both exactly what we were looking for, helpful, friendly, and personable. Our history with Honda: In 2013 we leased our first pilot. It was a spur of the moment decision and we weren't prepared for the purchase. We stopped at a dealership in PA on our way home to OH to make the deal. The entire transaction took more than 6 hours. It was exhausting, but we drove away in our first pilot. Because Parkway was closer to home, that first pilot was always serviced at Parkway. In 2016, when the lease was up for the first pilot, we traded it in (with equity) at another dealership in NE Ohio (simply because we were in that area, but we should have waited and went to Parkway). That trade in was quicker than 6 hours, but still not an amazingly fast deal. We also had a few details to work out with the hinge on the fuel tank and a few other small details that the dealership struggled to take care of for us. Again, we ended up at Parkway for all of our service needs and they took great care of us. Even though we had an oil change package at the dealership where we purchased our second pilot, we gave that up so we could have the better service at Parkway. This past weekend, we traded the second pilot in for a lease on our third pilot and are proud to give all of our business to Parkway. My extended family has been purchasing vehicles from Parkway for years and like them, we will only buy from Parkway going forward.
