Vroom rushed me thru the process of purchasing a vehicle from them. Had strict requirements of receiving payment within 48 hours. I was rushing my loan department to get my paperwork completed ahead of other customers in fear of losing the vehicle I wanted to another buyer. The loan paperwork and a check had to be overnighted to Vroom to meet their qualifications. THEN CAME TIME FOR THEM TO GET THE THINGS I NEEDED TO ME!!! I HAD TO REPEATEDLY ASK ABOUT THE ARRIVAL OF MY TRADE IN TO THEIR FACILITY (which they kept telling me for 15 days that it hadn???t reached their facility??!! Yeah right)!! THEY DRUG THEIR FEET ON SENDING THE PAYOFF OF MY TRADE IN SO LONG THAT THE 15 Day PAYOFF THEY WERE QUOTED EXPIRED AND I HAD TO PAY THE DIFFERENCE FROM MY OWN ACCOUNT!! I WAITED 26 DAYS TO RECEIVE TITLE PAPERWORK!! BUT THE PAPERWORK THEY NEEDED FROM ME HAD TO BE SENT WITHIN 2 BUSINESS DAYS!! YOU SHOULD GIVE AS GOOD AS YOU EXPECT, VROOM!! I HAD TO KEEP REQUESTING A REFUND OF THE $500 THEY CHARGED TO MY CREDIT CARD TO HOLD THE VEHICLE FOR A WEEK!!! LASTLY, the 2nd person I dealt with following the sales person was RUDE.
I just picked up my new car at CarMax of Hartford and, I have to say, this was the best car-buying experience I have ever had. I had found a Ford Explorer that I wanted to see on their lot. I put a hold on the vehicle on their website, very early in the morning. By 9am the same morning, I was contacted by Rocco Toce, the most awesome sales person around. I have bought many vehicles through the years and he is the top of the list! We went to look at the truck and he had it clean and ready for us to test drive. We loved the truck but it just didn’t have all the options that we were looking for. I found the exact Explorer we wanted in New York and Rocco jumped right in to help us transfer the vehicle to Hartford. I have to admit, it IS a leap of faith to pay the transfer fee upfront before even seeing the vehicle in person. Rocco jumped in and took over. He spoke to the other CarMax and had them check every part of the vehicle out. I felt very comfortable after he called and told me the truck sounds good. My Explorer made it to Hartford very quickly and Rocco immediately checked it out and let us know it was perfect! I went to see it yesterday. It was beautiful and in the best shape. Rocco took us through the entire car and never rushed us through anything. He sent our Explorer to detailing while my 2009 Silverado was appraised. I received a fair price for my trade and the deal was smooth and handled professionally by the staff. I’m pretty sure I have not had a better car buying experience. Rocco and the team at Hartford CarMax could not have done more to make our experience the best. I did a ton of research about CarMax like I’m sure everyone does. I drove over an hour to work with them and I am so glad I did. We walked out of there with a great, shiny Ford Explorer and the greatest car buying experience!
Shortly after entering the building we were graciously greeted by Anita. It was a cold Friday and we were offered snacks and hot beverage. Our questions were answered. At no time did I felt pressured to buy any vehicle. We requested to drive multiple cars and I didn't felt like I was testing their patience by the various requests. The rest of the rest were respectful but Anita stood out, she is the epitome of what it mean to be a great customer care respresentatives
The lot at Carite has a vast selection. I came there with a one track mind and was only going to purchase a Rav4 but ended up with a Nissan instead. So much to choose from, the cars appears clean and well taken care of.
I would not hesitate to shop here again.
I met Tyler when I was looking to buy a Honda civic in June 2018. I had some idea what kind of car I wanted to buy but really no idea of the specifics and how to go about it. Tyler was really helpful and patient with all my questions. He was really good at following up with me, keep in touch with me via text and phone calls and it really seem like he was in my corner to get me the best deal possible.He calmly first took the time to figure out what exactly I wanted and then curated the best possible car with all the features that would work for me. He went above and beyond what I expected a salesman to do for me and continue to follow up even after I got my car to make sure everything was working well for me. When I was hit from behind, I simply wanted to replace my totaled 2002 Lexus

My husband and I went to numerous dealerships looking for a specific car. After visiting dealer within a 50 mile radius, we expanded our search and are so happy that we did. James Motors was a 115 mile drive which turned out to be worth every mile. Anthony agreed to meet us at the dealership on a Sunday morning to look at the car and take it for a test drive. We got to the dealership slighly earlier which allowed us the time to do a walk around of the exterior. We actually talked about how clean all the cars looked on the lot (much larger dealerships we visited had cars on their lot with trash still inside the cars), Anthony showed up on time, put the dealer plate on and allowed us to go for the test drive alone. Anthony was extremely friendly, professional, and so easy to deal with. No negotiation struggle, no sales pitch, just an all around great conversation and purchase agreement. Due to living so far away, he again agreed to meet us to pick up the car on Sunday morning. The car was in his shop all shined up and ready for us to pick up. There's no question as to whether we'll buy another car from Anthony. He will now be our first call when we're searching.

My two contacts were with Harry The salesman and Steve in the finance department. Both were extremely knowledgeable and professional. Let me just start by saying I live two hrs from this dealership and Harry made the one day prossess a pleasant experience. Steve in the finance department was also completely professional and answered all my questions with confidence and knowledge. I would definitely recommend this dealership to people I know, and will definitely consider this dealership in future vehicle purchases.
