A very enjoyable experience a Lute Riley Honda. My wife and I purchased a 2017 Honda Accord Touring Hybrid. This is a very hi-tech car that is absolutely beautiful in styling and design. Definitely the smoothest ride we have ever experienced. This car has it all and to top it off, it gets 48 miles to the gallon. Most likely will be named Car of the Year. Our salesman was Ricky Bobby Hawksley and he was extremely knowledgeable of all the Honda cars as well as other brand named cars. No pressure here at all! I’ve been going to Hill Country since it opened. Always a good experience. The service staff understands that repairs can be expensive they will off discounts if possible. Very knowledgeable of different car issues, not pushy at all, ensures the customer is comfortable with the cost and will price match parts. Also they have loaners for those long service visits, if loaners are unavailable will offer a ride.

Was welcomed by a service associate immediately while he held the door open for me. Had an appt for a courtesy diagnostic to be done to determine the issue with my 2004 Honda Civic. After the problem was determined I was given the information along with what the cost would be for the repair. The work was completed in a timely manner and for less than the estimate that I had been given. The problem was repaired and I was on with the rest of my day. My old car was my third minivan in 15 years. Now that my kids are older and leaving for college, I wanted something that could carry 6 or 7 passengers but was ... well... NOT a minivan. I did some research on late model used three-row SUVs, and found the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. (My favorite of my three vans was a 2005 Nissan Quest, so choosing Nissan was easy for me.) Before I started browsing for cars, I applied for credit through Carvana, and was approved. Next, I entered in all of the information about the van I was trading for the Pathfinder. (Beware -- the trade-in amount is only good for 7 days, and it can change wildly in that time!) I was pleased with the trade amount, and it was great that I could shop for my new car and see my down payment and monthly payment for every car I viewed! My specifications were pretty clear -- AWD, less than 10,000 miles, and never a rental car. I found my dream car a few days later, and started the purchase process. It was quite smooth and the directions were very clear about what documents need to be uploaded. When I went to click on "finalize purchase" (or something like that), a red flag popped up...my trade-in value expired WHILE I WAS IN THE PROCESS OF CHECKING OUT! I got on chat with Carvana staff right away, and they were able to return the trade in value to NEARLY what it was before the expiration. This is something that needs to be addressed by Carvana -- once a customer is to a certain point in the process, those numbers need to be frozen. So we set a delivery time, and the Carvana rep was pretty much on time considering he was traveling 70 miles or so from the Chicago office. Everything was smooth -- signed a couple more papers, took my Pathfinder for a spin, Eric inspected my trade, and I left within 30 minutes with my new car. I would also like to add that I drove directly to my mechanic, so he could inspect the car and make sure I wasn't buying something with hidden damage. This is a review of my SELLING experience to Carvana. I listed my car on Craigslist and was approached by an outsider buyer named Jan. She introduced me to Carvana, which I never heard of before, and it's process. She was very helpful and walked me through the process. The first deciding factor for selling to them was that they offered me the best price (vs. CarMax, Auto Nation, Trur Car). Then I realized the process was super streamlined. All I had to do was upload my documents and, after approval, schedule an appointment for the pickup of my car. Carvana sent a truck to COME TO ME to pick up the car. The driver (Lauren?) was very courteous and pleasant to work with, too. The pickup process, which included a one-mile test drive, took no longer than 20-30 minutes. Immediately after loading my car to their truck, I was handed the check, which I immediately deposited without any issues. My selling experience from being contacted by buyer to getting the check took just 10 days! (Would've been even faster if I was more timely with uploading my docs.) I'd highly recommend Carvana for selling your cars!

Buying through Carvana was one of the best transactional experiences ever! I shopped for several months, test drove several cars to understand the models and features I was looking for. Then, boom, the car that matched come up in my search and I pulled the trigger. Within minutes, I had a value on my trade-in, purchased the car, (to include a very well priced extended warranty), and arranged for financing it through the Carvana website. And, while that was a very easy, non pressure experience, what made it really special was the delivery. Rachel, the Caravan rep, called me the day before the delivery to confirm, then called while in route to be sure not to leave me hanging. She was right on time, professional, and extremely upbeat. I had a genuine feeling that her priority was not only to deliver the car and pick up my trade in, but it was to make the final part of my experience a pleasure as well. Rachel was extremely knowledgeable of the process and did an excellent job of assuring I was informed of the "7 day, no questions asked, test drive" as well as the final paperwork to be processed. A few signatures and the trade-in was her's and the keys to 2014 BMW 535 were in my hands.

I hear of some major concerns about this van, however we have had no issues, and are very satisfied to date. Drives very well, has what seems to be a lot of safety features. The exterior fit could have been been better, some of the trim does not line up 100 percent. Our last Odyssey still runs well with 200 thousand miles on it according to the current owner. I expect many years of service from our Odyssey. I would buy this van again, we currently have 22,000 miles on it.

I recently purchased a used automobile from Scott Clark Honda. My first contact with the dealership was online. I had read some negative reviews and was, honestly, leery of doing business with them. While initially, they pushed hard to get my phone number, when I made it clear I wished to communicate only via email at that point to get my initial questions about the car answered, the message got through. Not only did I receive an email, it was from the internet sales manager, Jeffrey Goodwin, who sent me a short video of himself in front of the car I was interested in to not only show me that it was indeed on the lot but to give me a peek of the inside, which answered my initial inquiry. My concerns about the dealership subsided. That evening, Jeffrey and I worked together via text (yep, he had provided me his cell number and told me I could call or text - he had picked up on the fact I likely wasn't going to want to talk) to work out the details and come to an out the door price. I didn't want to drive 1.5 hours and then not be able to come to terms. I purchased the car the next day and for the price agreed upon! There were apparently two other interested parties. One at the dealership wanting to test drive when I returned from mine and another scheduled for a test drive later in the day with another salesman. I am glad I made the drive early in the day. I had lost another car at another dealer earlier in the week, and it would have been heartbreaking to go through that again. Luckily, that did not happen. I feel I got a great price on a used vehicle. I had wonderful service from Jeffrey Goodwin and would and will recommend him highly to my friends, coworkers, acquaintances, the general public - i.e. YOU! I also don't want to leave out my dealings with the finance manager, Ronnie, who also was kind and easy to deal with. It was his job to try to sell me the extended warranty and such, but, he had been forewarned by Jeffrey that I would not be interested in such, so he did not push hard. He was also a pleasure to deal with. Provided my car doesn't fall apart (haha), I could not rate my experience any higher. Thank you, Jeffrey. Thank you, Ronnie. Keep up the excellent work!

The van is very quiet. Gas mileage is great. The uneven floor would have deterred me from buying it if I had none about it before the purchase. Totally unnecessary! No low windshield washer reservoir indicator! Duh! Gas flip door often freezes up and won't open.

This was my family's first Honda purchase, a 2018 Odyssey. After months of debating whether or not we wanted a minivan, we came across the newly redesigned fifth generation Odyssey. We test drove at another dealer and then began the search for the best deal since we were trading in a car we had only owned for 2 years. Honda of Concord was the last dealership we contacted but they were the most responsive and understanding of our situation. Everyone took the time to fully understand our needs (and wants) and worked to ensure they were met. I started conversing with Carson, who worked out the numbers with the purchase and the trade. While he did not beat the price of the van I had received at another dealer (don't fret, it was not by much), he was able to cut more than my trade's buyout to help make up some of the difference. Once all that the finances were figured out, Joy joined the conversation and knocked the ball out of the park. Every question I had was answered within a few minutes by text, often accompanied by pictures for visual aid if needed. Once we decided to make the deal after pre-approval with our credit and situating the payment where we wanted, Joy and the team worked to find the color van we wanted since they didn't have it on the lot and had it in hand ready to go within a few hours the following day (we made our decision to buy the van late one evening). Joy made sure to schedule our arrival at the dealership to sign the paperwork so that we weren't there longer than necessary (she knew we would have two small children in tow). Though that process took a little longer than expected once we arrived, we were understanding as we saw the traffic in and out of the showroom. As we waited Joy didn't leave our side; she went ahead and started to discuss our preferences for the Odyssey (given there is so much technology they ask how you want certain functions to work) until Kevin in finance was ready for me to process all the paperwork. Kevin had everything printed and ready, described all the figures and notes in full detail, and we were out of his office in 15 minutes. The van was waiting for us out front along with Joy who was eager to explain some of the amazing features of the Odyssey - from the RES to the tailgating capability 3rd row to 2nd row magic four-way sliding seats. She also went ahead and preset our preferences for some of the functionality as a result of the conversation we had with her earlier. My family loaded the car and we were off. Joy even checked in the next day to see how we were enjoying the van. First rate dealership through and through. If and when we are ready to buy another car - new or used - we will definitely visit Honda of Concord. I highly recommend Joy and am grateful to have purchased a car with her as our sales partner. Knowledgeable, understanding, efficient, and energetic. Joy and the team made us feel like family and we were catching up after not seeing one another for a while. Thank you Carson, Joy, and Kevin. Our family is thrilled with the Odyssey and only wish we were closer to stop in and say hi when the car will need service.

Very easy to purchase, the entire thing happened over email and the papers were signed via overnight FedEx. Less than 1 week later, the car was in my driveway. It does take longer than a traditional dealer, but you don't have to sit there for hours while the paperwork and financing takes place. The car came in immaculate condition, no paint chips, no scratches. Interior was perfectly detailed and cleaned. Good price, low mileage, clean history report.

My wife and I shop for cars differently than the average buyer. We start by renting vehicles when we travel. We use those experiences to determine the brands we enjoy and then pare the list of vehicles we would consider buying based on Consumer Reports evaluations and reliability findings. we pick three brands, then determine the type of vehicle we want (sedan, SUV, truck, etc.). We narrow the choices to three or four and then start looking at dealerships. We test drive all the vehicles at the respective dealerships and determine the target dealer, the one at which we believe we will find the best information, service department and incentives. We pick three vehicles we could accept as our final choice and test drive each of those. We construct an evaluation grid that compares the characteristics and features and options we might be interested in. By this time, we have been looking for about 18 months. We try to time our purchases to fall in late Julyu or Late August, which seems to be the time most dealerships offer the best deals and the most valuable incentives. We determine the MSRP, invoice price and price as we want the vehicles configured using CR, USAA and TruCar services. We negotiate a deal for each of the vehicles at each dealership, often using the offers from one dealer to leverage pricing power at the next. We negotiate for a price that is en excellent price, no more than $200 over invoice. We sometimes are able to negotiate prices that are below what is reported to be the invoice price. It is not uncommon for us to walk away from a deal that isn't good enough and then return, either at the sales rep's invitation or at a later date on our own initiative with an offer that is $50 higher than the one we walked away from. we don't do trade-ins and we don't discuss financing until AFTER we negotiate the full, drive-away price for the vehicle, including taxes, tags, delivery, all options and all other "extra" charges. We never buy extended warrantees. (Instead of an extended warrantee, we set aside money in a savings account for unanticipated repair costs. We don't use it very often.) We will, depending on the value offered, pay cash, do a bank loan, finance through USAA or lease, but whichever way we finance the purchase is designed to keep cash cash flow reasonable and total cost at a minimum. Buying this way requires cooperation from the dealership and the sales representative. It is also time intensive but it has paid off with what is usually a good, comfortable, unemotional buying decision. Itv works for us and we enjoy the process. The dealerships usually don't. Our most recent buying experience was at Honda of Concord. They allowed us to do several test drives on several vehicles, some with the sales rep and some without, and some even overnight as we neared a final choice. The managers, service technicians, sales people and clerical staff were always courteous and patient as we worked our way through our preferred buying process. Delivery was a challenge because the dealership didn't have the exact vehicle we wanted. It took a month to find the vehicle, arrange for an in-transit swap with another dealership and get the vehicle delivered with the preferred trim level, color, options and accessories. Our sales rep stayed on top of the process and kept us informed as it played out. We were very pleased and satisfied with the dealership from top to bottom and from start to finish. We got an excellent vehicle for an excellent price.

2018 Honda Odyssey EX-L with Navigation and Rear Entertainment. First let me start off by saying I'm not a Honda fan. Ever since I had a terrible experience with a civic I stayed away from Honda. After having my 2nd child our compact SUV was not big enough (2 kids both in car seats, a double stroller, and 2 dogs. Yeah that wasn't going to happen). I test drove every 3 row SUV on the market because I was NOT going to own a minivan. I test drove a 2016 Honda Pilot and just loved it. So that brought me back to the Honda Line. I went to a dealership and told the sales guy I was looking at the Pilot. He asked the size of my family and said "let me show you the Odyssey". I was VERY reluctant to look at it. 1 because it was same car my parents drove and 2 it was a MINIVAN! But I decided to go and look. Am I glad that I did! The amount of space this thing had, the seats were so comfortable, it's turning radius was felt like I was driving a car, and the ride was incredible! I was able to take the car home for 3 days before I made my final decision. In those 3 days, I put the stroller in it, tested the rear entertainment for my 2 year old, loved that I could open the doors and my 2 year old could climb in, oh and I didn't have to worry about hitting the car next to me in the parking lot! I was sold on the van. I bought the van on December 28, 2018 and knew this was going to be our family car for years. I can keep all of the seats up and have the stroller in the trunk. The EX-L offers plenty of features to feel like you are driving the top of the line without the price tag. Leather seats with driver memory, keyless entry with remote start, automatic doors, Honda Sensing (thats on the EX trim as well) and the system work great. Automatic lift gate, automatic high beams, the magic sliding seats, auto lock feature so if you walk away with full hands the car will lock, and many more! I average 30 MPG combined driving (eco mode is always on). Yes I am no longer "cool" but hey this thing can carry my family and all of our stuff comfortably. My car only has less than 6,000 miles on it now, so it is a baby, but she's a great car and we have had no problems with her. Don't stick to the SUV craze, cave and buy the minivan. You won't regret it!

First Minivan and Love it

Needed a car to travel with our 2 dogs and all of our "stuff". Either minivan or a Suburban needed. Odyssey Elite is perfect - great travelling car, comfortable, lots of room, great features, and solid gas mileage. 2 recalls and 3 unscheduled repair visits for annoying small things and exterior fit and finish is a joke (Honda reliability is overrated) but I would definitely buy this again.

Great Communication Helped Overcome Hiccups

After shopping around on the new 2016 Civic, I found that Scott Clark Honda offered by far the best payment and overall experience while shopping and test driving. My consultant Justin Scott was outstanding. When I first inquired, he created a personalized video tour of one of the vehicles that I had shown interest in driving. He followed up via my preferred method of communication - text messaging. Many other salespeople I dealt with won't adapt to a customer's preference with communication. Justin was on board. He wanted to set up an appointment, but to my own fault, I went in to see him without confirming a time and date. His colleague JR was very helpful while Justin was with another client. I followed up after the visit to meet with Justin. I met with Justin to look at some options and we came to an agreement on price and the features I wanted in the Civic. The price was nearly $200 less per month than a competing dealer in Charlotte. Where the hiccups came into play was in the finance office. The monthly payment on paper was somehow $30 higher than I had agreed to. I was told that it was because of a difference in state taxes. I took them at their word and agreed. I went home later and researched the tax discrepancy. I found that there should have been no increase because of registering in South Carolina. I followed up with Justin Scott who verified that the finance manager was new and that there were paperwork errors. There would end up being several other errors in the paperwork from the "rookie" in finance until we reached out to Justin Mann, the finance director. Justin Mann took immediate ownership of the experience on the finance side and ensured that everything worked perfectly with the agreed upon payment and lease terms. Justin Scott kept in touch to see that everything was good on my end. They gave me fair value for my trade and in the end I was able to pick up the new car looking nice with everything I had asked for. The key to success in even the most volatile of situations is communication. Both Justins were great in that they stayed in touch and making sure everything was corrected. I recommend Justin Scott as a Honda expert and someone you can trust as a consultant when you consider purchasing a new vehicle. Thank you guys (and JR for the help as well!) for making this a good overall experience.

Great Empty Nester Car

Very stable, smooth quiet ride. Lots of practical features included without excessive bells and whistles. It feels like a very safe care to drive. As empty nesters, we plan to use this spacious, comfortable car for road trips.
